You could go to all the Baskin Robbins in the world and try every flavor each parlor has to offer. You could go to all the Coldstones in the world and do the same thing. You could also go to your local grocery store and buy all the Dreyers, Breyers, Lucernes, Klondikes, etc. However, if you do any of the above, you won't get the unique ice cream OR the customer experience that you would get at Brushfire's Ice Creamery. Now if you made it to this paragraph and are thinking to yourself, "Why did I waste all my money and ice cream on those places instead of this Ice Creamery???" Don't fret! This particular ice creamery actually just opened this month, so you didn't miss anything (except maybe the Grand Opening and the first few days of operation). Other than that, all ice cream lovers are welcome! The Ice Creamery is an extension of the Brushfire BBQ located on the Southwest corner of 22nd and Kolb. I'm guessing it was made that way so that after you were done with your meal at the BBQ restaurant, you could walk through the doors directly to the ice creamery to get your dessert instantly! They don't necessarily have as many flavors (24 I believe) compared to Baskin's 31, but choosing Baskin over Brushfire just for that one reason would be as dumb as skydiving without a parachute. Not only that, but since the ice creamery just opened, there's always the possibility of coming up with new flavors every now and then. Who knows? Maybe by the end of this year, they will have surpassed Baskin's 31! What's the secret behind their amazingly awesome ice cream? Nobody (except maybe the Brushfire employees) will ever know. What I do know, however, is that the employees at Brushfire (both the BBQ and the Ice Creamery) are awesome to the power of itself. No matter if you're a frequent Brushfire customer or have never even spent a penny there, they will always treat you like VIPs. The last time I went to Baskin, one of their crew members was pretty arrogant despite trying to sound like a customer service representative at a call center. At Brushfire, you would never find an employee like that. They always care about their customers and make sure the customers leave with smiles on their faces. It's a shame that I live over ten miles away from their ice creamery, but if someone from afar wrote this long of a review on Yelp, you can be sure that it's something that you HAVE to try at least once in your lifetime. If you're visiting Tucson just for a few days, do whatever you can to stop there and try their flavors! If you make it to their ice creamery and can't seem to decide which flavors to choose, I could recommend their Arizona Wildcats flavor (which I can't quite remember the name of) and salted caramel. But really, you can't go wrong with any of the flavors there. Take a 24-sided dice and have it decide the flavor for you. You'll end up a happy customer whichever way the dice lands.

Went here tonight with my daughter to sample some local ice cream flavor. I came away impressed. I tried the Cinnamon Oatmeal Cream Pie and the Coffee & Donut flavors. The oatmeal flavor blew me away with creaminess and flavor it was outstanding, the other one was good, I was expecting more donut and less coffee. It was a bit hot in there, swamp cooler? I came away impressed and there are a large variety of non traditional flavors so I will definitely need to visit again to try something new.

Interesting flavors, taste like they say (Butterfinger tastes like you are eating the candy bar), everything we tried was good but all were too sweet. They also have alcoholic shakes.

Hey YELPers!!!!! y'all missed the boat on your ice cream list by not including Brushfire ice creamery as THE GREATEST ICE CREAM IN ALL OF THE WORLD!!!! (possibly other worlds as well) I always sample ( like Guiness and pork belly) but I always come back to the salted caramel... Which is better than HUB. I like HUB really but this little gem within an older strip mall on 22nd and Kolb is where you want to be. Did I mention the liquor you can add or the 5 root beer options for floats? The toppings bar? Friendly staff? THE FANTASTIC BARBECUE NEXT DOOR!!!! You really don't want to miss this place!

This is ice cream the way the Ice Cream Gods intended it to be: Creamy, flavorful, real ingredients, and topped with liquor. My husband came in here a few weeks ago and was dying to be back, and to take me. I thought he was exaggerating the deliciousness of this ice cream. I thought he was being ridiculous and was trying to set me up...for what I didn't know. Maybe he was just trying to get me in so he could have barbecue and ice cream at once. I don't know. But he wasn't exaggerating. At all. If anything he didn't do it justice. The service was spot on. Very nice ladies working behind the counter! They has been busy cleaning, but were still really nice when we asked to try a bunch of different flavors. They had this one...Tequilacado? Avoquila? Some combination of "tequila" and "avocado". I tried it and it was really unique. Maybe not something I could eat a whole scoop of, but I was glad to have tried it. I ended up getting the Milk Stout Ice Cream. I had never, in my wildest dreams thought that beer and ice cream would go together. They always seemed like conflicting refreshments. This was the most perfect ice cream I think I have ever had. It wasn't overly sweet, but it was VERY rich, and had that hint of a stout beer in it. It may have been the alcohol it was made with, or the fact that they did ice cream voodoo on this treat, but it was just on the firm side of gloopy! Perfectly creamy, easy to scoop onto my spoon, but still firm enough that it held its shape. I even had to put it in my freezer, because my eyes were bigger than my sweet tooth, and the next day it was STILL creamy and perfect. I'm in love with this place. It has to be my new favorite ice cream in the city. Nay! The world! Seriously, next time you crave something sweet and cold to cool yourself off in the heat of Tucson, stop in here. It seems do be a guaranteed treat!

Well, it's National Ice Cream month. After reading reviews of this ice creamery and about how the baklava flavor was ingenious, I had to try it out. You know what? Baklava flavored ice cream IS ingenious!!! I've never been a fan of baklava, but this ice cream was creamy dreamy incredible! My wife had the Orange Dream and it isn't orange-colored. That means no artificial coloring. It tasted fresh. I tried other great flavors. We will be back.

Most delicious ice cream I've found in Tucson yet. I had so much trouble deciding what flavors to get since everything I tried was absolutely amazing. They have a lot of funky unique flavors and while I've been to places where the taste doesn't live up to the name, Brushfire ice cream truly delivers. I opted for the Banana Foster and the Cinnamon Oatmeal while the fiancée got the candied Pork Belly Pecan ! We loved it so much that we bought two pints home . Yay

The candied pork belly? Yes. A thousand times yes. The oreo chocolate? Talk about your creamy mouth-feel! Er. Not all was wine and roses here. The shop, while cute, seemed to suffer a bit from cleanliness issues around the trash bins. Employees, while helpful, seemed bored. Sample spoons shouldn't be in the same place as clean spoons. With the exception of these very minor issues, the highlight here is obviously the ice cream. Great taste and reasonably priced.

Damn, this place is GOOOOD. Not good FOR you, but holy crap it is tasty. I love the idea of this place first and foremost. Small batch, artisan made Ice creams, made with all the real, terrible-for-you stuff that Ice Cream should be made with, in whatever awesome and interesting flavors the chef comes up with that day. Want booze on top? No problem. This is ice cream as ice cream should be. I have gone a couple times now, and had the chance to try several flavors via sampling each time I went. First time I was by myself and wound up with baklava flavor. Can I just say that baklava is a genius flavor for ice cream? Incredible. Second time I went with my wife and she had milk stout ice cream, which sounds like it would be gross, but believe me it was not. Don't even know how to describe the flavor, but it was creamy and delicious. I went with their special of the day which was bananas foster made with 99 Bananas. Best banana flavored anything I've ever had. First, it tasted of real bananas. Not that fake banana flavoring stuff you get everywhere else. Second, brulee'd sugar pieces throughout added texture and flavor. Most awesome of all, because there is liquor in the ice cream, the freezing temperature gets lowered, so even at temps where normal ice cream gets hard, this stays gooey yet firm--the perfect ice cream texture. I can not say enough good things about this place, just beware! I am lucky that I do not crave ice cream much. If I did, I might be in the market for a bigger wardrobe.

The ice cream here is super rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious! Their prices are good and the customer service has also been pretty good. I'm a sucker for good customer service! Seriously though, customers should be treated well! They've got a sign saying "caution-- habit forming" and I agree. Ever since trying their ice cream I can't wait to go back and have more. :-) Looking forward to my next visit back!

This an interesting ice cream parlor. You can add alcohol to your shakes and some of their ice creams are made with alcohol. The ice cream is so-so. They do have creative flavors however the ice cream always seems to melt too quickly and causes a lot of messes and turns more into shakes rather than ice cream. Also the staff there is not the most cheerful. They always seem to be annoyed to be working. I want my ice cream staff to be happy and cheerful. It is ice cream for crying out loud. Its a treat not a chore.

Pretty good ice cream. No crazy flavors the day I went, but it was still really good. Nutella cheesecake ice cream sandwich wasn't anything super special but it was definitely good enough to go back and try again for some of the other, crazier, flavors I keep hearing about.

I really really love the ice cream here! Its really sad to say this but this is much better than their BBQ! all of their ice cream is homemade. I recommend the banana cream Foster!

6 starts, good enough to write a review for the 1st time. You must have a sweet tooth though, extremely rich.

Candied pork belly ice cream with maple and macadamia. Go ahead, read that sentence again. "But Rich, you're just making stuff up!" No sir / ma'am, I am not making this up. This is one of many spectacular flavors available to you at Brushfire Ice Creamery. I knew it was going to be my order when I saw it, I got a sample anyway to make sure I wasn't dreaming, then I ordered it. And it was good. If you're old enough to sit at the adults' table, you can choose some add-ins from the full bar to turn your Brushfire into Boozefire. Rich's recommendation: if you're getting a heavy flavor like candied pork belly, go with one scoop or plan to share. Bring 23 friends and try a bit of everything.

So rich and creamy! Super sweet and full of fresh flavors! Always a treat!!! Their flavors are constantly changing so it's hard to talk about my favorite! However it does always feel like they have a flavor that always satisfies my ice cream craving! Definitely worth a try!

Come check out this new ice cream joint over by east side. Everything they serve are made in the house, After few samples. I have to say the flavors were legit. BUT.... they weren't very distinctive. I tried the pistachio flavor and can barely taste it. Nutella? another disappointment. Apple pie flavor was good and some of the sorbets were pretty good as well. I will go back try their milkshake and some other things on the menu. Simple decor but its good that they pay more attention on their ice cream.

If I could grant this place a million stars, I would. My inner fatty cries every time I pass by in my truck. My favorite was the rocky road Nutella flavor, followed by the oatmeal cream pie, then bday cake, then...well. I love it here. If I could marry an establishment, it would be this one. Reasonably priced awesomeness all in one building. Start with bbq, end with .... Whatever ice cream you want to give a try that day. Good job owners!

The shakes and ice cream is phenomenal, if you have a hour to wait for the people behind the counter to get it together. Literally took 40 minutes for them to make 2 ahakes. Hurry up I have a life

Great environment, especially on game days to watch the U of A. Ice cream was good and there are many different flavors to choose from!

Creamy, delicious, rich ice cream. Creative selection of flavors. The Nutella Rocky Road was awesome! Next time I'm buying a pint.

Was looking on yelp for a good ice cream shop and came across this one. Based on the reviews I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. They certainly had lots of flavors and if you like toppings on your ice cream then they have plenty of options. I went for the fudge ripple and paired that with the strawberry, triple berry. Both were very good.

Hands down the best ice cream EVER! Very rich, creamy and delicious. Extremely unique favors like pork belly maple crunch. That's right! Just let that sink in!
