So happy this place finally opened! I've been here twice now & really like what I tasted. They're now serving 3 of their own brews (in addition, they serve beers from several local breweries). First time I came I had Berthas Best Bitters (an ESB) and really enjoyed it. The last time I was here I tried the Desert Rose (a Kolsch), which I LOVED (I got a growler of this one as well). This beer has a very distinct pink color (sounds strange, I know!). Apparently it's made w/prickly pear. I thought it was interesting to add an ingredient associated w/this region to a beer made in a brewery that does everything local in order to make it distinct. The place itself is small (seating wise at least). There's a ton of tanks for brewing, which seem to take up most of the space. There's a large wooden bar & about 3 or 4 long wooden table w/about 8-10 seats each. If you happen to come here w/non-beer drinkers (gasp!) they do serve a couple local wines as well. I believe the white is AZ Stronghold (which I've always liked) & the red is Dos Cabezas. They also have a local cider. I really hope this place does well. I love what they've done to this part of Old Town between this place, Sip, Brat Haus & Union Barrelhouse. All these places are much more laid back & not what you typically think of when you're in this part of Scottsdale.

Love this place! Great atmosphere! Friendly service. Most of the local microbrews are represented, all in one place. Even the location is right near Scottsdale Old Town. A great addition. We loved the Sun Up Imperial Stout, Cartel Coffee Brown on Nitro, Barrio Scottish, and Papago Orange Blossom.

Nice place with a cool atmosphere and a friendly staff but it's a bit overpriced. When we arrived the place was crowded but we were able to get seats at the bar. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. I ordered a flight to try all of Goldwater Brewing Co's own beers. I really liked the Desert Rose Kolsch. I thought the reddish color was a cool touch but more importantly it tasted very good. I gave it a 4 star rating on Untapp'd. The Rye'T On rye brown ale was even better (4.5 stars). The other three beers were decent but nothing spectacular. My main issue with Goldwater Brewing Co. is that their prices seemed high. Two flights of five beers were $27 and a 32 ounce can of their Desert Rose was $14, which is very expensive considering that most microbreweries around town charge $11 for a 64 ounce growler fill. So while I may stop by again for a beer when I'm in the area, I won't go out of my way to fill a growler at those prices. Perhaps someday if they decide to start serving food it may be worth going out of my way for.

I wanted to go to a brewery and this one was close. I always enjoy breweries. I just do. The fist thing I noticed, was not the brewery and bar that look like a decent brewery - but the smell (post brewing process of malted barley). It was from the brewery process, but it sure put a damper on the experience because it was potent. I only wanted to try the breweries own beer, and order the sampler sizes of 5 oz. I like this, because then you don't go wild and adventurous and regret it, as I would have if I had gone bigger. Non of the four beers they served impressed. I am not a Pale Ale fan, so two goes out. But the Bitter (ESB) might be accurate and tasty, and I give it that I might not been in the mood for it - but the Desert Rose have a potent fragrance that goes into the bouquet of wet sock. Just didn't speak to me. So in conclusion - I liked everything about this place, including the novelty of them canning their own beer cans by the bar.. except for the beer. I will come back to give it a second chance. I will.

Came to Goldwater on a saturday. Upon entering.. I noticed the many tanks they have at this brewery. Clean brewery and nice Shiney tanks. So with all these tanks and taps.. I was expecting a good selection of beers. I was quickly disappointed with goldwater only having 2 on tap. The 2 they have were: $2.50 /tasters Berthas best bitters Esb 5.5- a good refreshing beer Ay you pale ale. 5.7- this pale ale was really good. With just those 2 beers on tap.. and both being good. I'm sure the next ones to follow will be just as good. Hopefully next time my fiancée and I come in, more will be tapped. Keep it up. Will update the next time I visit.

I stopped in yesterday to have a beer and check out the new brewery in town. They have a great location right on Scottsdale Road and have a great looking tasting room. Lots of high end finishes including a gleaming copper bar. Unfortunately they aren't brewing their own beer yet but that should happen in the next couple of months. They do have a good list of local beers on tap and I enjoyed my Huss Brewing grapefruit IPA.

What a great experience. I stopped in shortly after they opened, I was the only person at the brewery. Very quickly, there were many other people at the brewery. The vibe was terrific. Right now they have only three of their own beers on tap, but all were very good. I had a combination of the Desert Rose and the pale ale, suggested by the bartender Jimmy, and it was great. I will be back soon to enjoy more great beer.

Love Goldwater Brewery. It's awesome to have a real brewery in the area. They now have four of their own beers plus they sell another dozen locals. Really cool tasting room. It reminds me of several we went to in Oregon on a brew your road trip. Great beer, great service!

I've been coming here since May 2015 around the time it opened. I'd give it five stars but I decided to give it four, so I'll have the opportunity to update the number of stars after a year or so. You'll find some excellent venues nearby including Brat Haus, Union Barrelhouse, Sip Coffeehouse, and Craft 64. Cheers

I was walking by today and noticed this is a new brewery in Scottsdale. After peaking in through the window, I stepped in to fully check it out. The place looks crazy clean and maybe that's just from all the shiny objects (haha), but I loved the interior! The copper bar is definitely a nice touch that I have never seen before. Even though they aren't brewing their own beer YET, I have a feeling I'll enjoy this place a lot.

New father/son run brewery in Old Town Scottsdale. A few of their own plus a great selection of local craft brews. Cool decor and good music. They carry growlers or quart size cans to go. Seems like a great place.
