Ok...so I'm not going to lie, I'm a little disappointed that I did not get to be the first person to review the Diner seeing as it is owned and operated by my grandmother!!!! Gma has owned the diner for about ten years now, and despite the fact that Parker is a tiny town located about 30 minutes outside of Lake Havasu City she still gets a TON of business. In the winter the place is packed with snowbirds, and in the spring and summer she benefits from the massive crowds flocking to the nearby Colorado River and Lake Havasu. Grandma does ALL of the cooking as she does not feel anyone can do it quite as well as her...and she is correct!!! Everything she makes is absolutely scrumptious; however, I am completely in love with her breakfast foods. My all time fav is the french toast with sausage and hash browns. And grandma doesn't skimp on the portions either...there is always WAY too much on the plate, but its soooo good you just cannot resist eating it all! Alice tries to change up the menu from time to time offering more seasonal items. Each night of the week there is typically a dinner special which is super cheap. She makes Navajo tacos (which I'm not sure how authentic these are but they are damn good) which is like a puffy taco base with beans, meat, cheese, and fresh veggies on top. Friday night is all you can eat beef ribs for $8, and the ribs are always very good quality. And the chicken fried steak is to die for!!! She also does a spread for Thanksgiving and Christmas for those who do not want to make a huge dinner. Grandma knows most of the customers and always tries to come out and talk with her patrons when she is not super slammed with orders. This restaurant is her baby, and you will never find another chef in the kitchen...no matter what the circumstances. The decor is, well, odd. She really likes bizarre flea market finds and little trinkets which have no general theme other than total randomness. I think this is part of the charm though because it looks like a little old lady's house, and is a good representation of the kind of lovin you will find in the kitchen. To anyone ever partying it up in Lake Havasu, I definitely recommend driving into Parker and checking this place out...you will not be disappointed :)

My family and I have been coming to this diner for the past 2 years everytime we are on vacation! Alice's food is great! It looks small but there is a good amount of seating inside. We always recommend to friends who are vacationing with us to come try this place. Our absolute favorite is the All You Can Eat ribs, which comes with endless sides, baked beans, cole slaw and fries. I have never had a problem with the waitress, she is just a no nonsense kinda lady. Everyone in this place is really kind and welcoming. We will be visiting the river again this weekend and I cannot wait to eat at Alice's!

**Hidden Gem Alert** Been driving past this place for years. Always curious but never really timed right for stopping and eating. Finally tried it for breakfast this Sunday, Loved it. It's the real deal. AKA Alice's Home Cookin', and yeah, Alice IS doin' the cookin' here. Seemed like most customers knew both of the servers and Alice. Service was really good and friendly too. None of that surly burned out diner waitress BS here. My diner standard Porkchop and Eggs was good. Everything fresh and cooked to perfection. The place is small but actually has more seating than I thought it would. If it were full-up youd probably need a little patience waiting for your order to come up. I'm super curious now about the AYCE Beef Ribs on Saturdays! $7.95, what a deal. In fact, all the prices are very reasonable here. Check this place out. Tell Alice I said hey. OH, and the Kitsch? Yeah, Alice has got an eye for Kitsch. Check out the string of mini Christmas Lights that are 12 gauge shotgun shells. Not sure the meaning of that but, I love it!

In theory, this is a cute, casual, homey little diner. I used to enjoy going there, but the staff became somewhat rude after hiring a new lady a year or two ago, and I haven't been back since. Most of the food is good, but they can never seem to properly cook a fried egg. Either the whites are undercooked, or the yolk is overcooked, and they always forget my toast. Prices are good, though, but if you really want good breakfast, I suggest going a bit further over to Crossroads for some delicious chicken fried steak and spicy sausage. MMMM!!

This place is great. The owner, Alice, is a wonderful cook. You won't go away hungry. We do to breakfast and dinner when ever we are at the river.
