I rarely give out 5 stars, but this quaint little deli hit the spot. The sandwich was FANTASTIC!!! Very fresh ingredients. The view from this place is nice. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The service was excellent. Wasn't as busy as the restaurants on the main drag, so it's worth the walk up to this hilltop location.

The Hilltop Deli was a great find while visiting Jerome on vacation recently. After a long day of walking the town's hills and being out in the baking Arizona sun, it was refreshing to sit outside with a cold drink and one of their delicious sandwiches and take in the stunning views. Topping it off with a slice of their homemade apple pie a la mode was maybe the best decision I made that day! Service was friendly and accommodating too. Recommended!

Little sister and I stopped there for a late lunch after bumming around the town of Jerome for a few hours on our way home from Sedona. What a lovely little place! We each got a medium sized sandwich and it was more than enough. The girl at the counter was very nice and the prices were reasonable. However with out a doubt, my favorite thing was that we say at a table near the window and the view was incredible. We had a lovely late lunch and I will likely stop here again when I'm in town next time.

Great oasis in Jerome. Awesome homemade lemonade. Good sandwiches. World class view. And don't miss the soda saloon attached- all kinds of cool sodas. Also, friendly staff.

Great stop in Jerome! Staff was very friendly and sandwiches were fantastic! My two daughters had the breakfast sandwich and my husband and I had the BLT and the Chipotle Turkey Melt (fixed the way they recommended)... Our bellies are happy!

This is an Excellent lunch option in Jerome. Its near the top of town but you need to come up this road to fully enjoy Jerome anyway. Quick Casual and friendly, they have a great patio with an amazing view, but I opted to sit at the small counter, because I just didn't have time to linger. My hot pastrami sandwich was a solid 10. I loved the super fresh bread and vegies and the pastrami had so much flavor. A big pickle spear was the only thing missing. It's great to find a place like this serving excellent sandwiches with great ingredients at a fair price and with a view!

We stopped here for lunch while visiting Jerome and it was a great meal with a view! We bought two sandwiches, bags of chips and bottled pop. Everything was delicious! They have a nice open patio with seating that looks over downtown Jerome. Very, very long staircase if you are coming from the main street in Jerome so may need to keep this in mind.

Stopped by today for the view, but the sandwiches were outstanding. The patio has great views. Six inch sandwiches are plenty, unless you are really hungry. Recommend if passing thru the funky town of Jerome, AZ.

I'm not sure what the other yelpers saw in this place, I asked if they could make an iced coffee and she said yes, then I asked if they could do a latte. She pointed at the menu and said this is what we have. So I picked the mocha frappe, and apparently the girl begind the counter had already started making an iced coffee and when i ordered the mocha she gave me this look like i was the devil or something. I paid and then the girl tells me they don't have mocha powder so it's just gonna be chocolate. I got a blended chocolate milk. For $5. I took a sip and threw it away. 2 of the employees were really nice. One not as much. Maybe the food is awesome, idk. The view from the patio is beautiful. I recommend going to the Flatiron instead. They can actually make latte's! :) and everyone was friendly and welcoming.

Delicious sandwiches and good salads. If you like to sit outside when the weather is nice you also have a pleasant view. Inside the place is full of colors! Very nice to sit there too! The homemade lemonade is great, try it!

Delicious subs,we ordered a 6 and 8in Turkey sub with 2 bags of chips $20. A bit on the pricey side but worth it. Nice outdoor seating if proffered.

Had the turkey, bacon, and Jack -- definitely recommend it on the herb bread!! The view from the patio also can't be beat. A hidden gem :-)

Sirracha ranch chicken sandwich was great. Why have just a hamburger when you can have this wonderful food on a boutique setting.

Pulled into Jerome hungry and with our dog along for the ride, thought we'd be hungry until we got down the hill. Dog friendly patio was great. Thinking I was a captive patron, I thought the food would be fair. Blown away by the quality and service. The French dip exceeded all expectations. Got great service when I wasn't expecting it. I am going back!

Good stop for a snack in SEDONA, AZ. I was solo, didn't want to go to a busy touristy eat place. Guy at counter was charming and suggested a good sandwhich. Nice value, kind of off beaten path. Good cookies, too. Thanks for recognizing my hometown Portland.

OMG WHAT A GREAT, ABSOLUTELY 5 STAR PLACE THIS IS!! Stopped in here today, joined by Mike C. & Jackie C. & went with a #24 Combo which started with a cup of terrific 3-Bean Soup & then went on to a medium size Pastrami, loaded up with mustard, cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onions, sliced Waxed Peppers, avocado & I can't remember what all else but it came loaded up with all this on a fresh whole wheat roll & was absolutely terrific! Not only that, the staff was super friendly, we ate out on the patio & loved it, & this fun restaurant was just one more great thing about this totally cool little town where my love Michelle Branch got her musical start! UNDER $8! :-))

My husband and I came here for the first time while on vacation in cottonwood and we both agreed hands down best sandwiches we've ever had. I got the chipotle BBQ chicken and he had the buffalo chicken on garlic herb bread. Yummy!!! And the service was great and very friendly. We are going back again today with our dogs this time and enjoy the beautiful view from their outdoor patio.

I would NOT recommend this deli. I ate there this last Saturday and found hair in my sandwich. I brought it to the attention of one of the employees there and they were extremely rude to me. I do not appreciate being treated like that and was appalled by it!!!!

We loved this find. Off the main street and out of the way of the tourist so we could hide from the snowbirds. Portions are large and we had music with Brown Dog and his Dad Wayne. Great day

Had lunch there. We each had a different chicken sandwich and they were both delicious. I especially liked that they came in different sizes because my husband and I eat different amounts. Very much appreciated the dog-friendly patio.

Consistent, fresh, great folks. In my lunch rotation. Once in awhile they do a Vietnamese Pho that is sensational. They don't skimp on ingredients!

Best sandwich I've ever had for under $10. Fabulous view makes for a great lunch and dog friendly too! Fresh local ingredients make these sandwiches flavorful and filling. If there's a place you can't leave without trying , it's the hilltop deli!!

Excellent sandwiches! I'm kind of an 'a sandwich is just a sandwich, I can make it at home' kinda person, but Hilltop's chicken pesto was really good! I recommend adding sprouts to just about anything you get, but that's just me. Puppy friendly patio, good people, great prices.

Randomly decided to grab a bite here while we were in Jerome for a quick stop. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food is. Everything tasted amazing and was extremely fresh. It's now our go to lunch spot when we are driving through. The service is also great! I would this place is tip top on the hilltop. Definitely grab some food here :-)

In town from DC and was spending the day in Jerome. Came into this place for lunch and the food was off the chain! Had a buffalo chicken sandwich and it was one of the best I've ever had. Bread tasted very fresh. Chicken breast was shredded and perfectly seasoned. I'm a big time chili head, so I added a little ghost pepper hot sauce from Jerome Ghost Pepper Company located next door. 10/10 would come back to Jerome just for Hill Top Deli.

Ate lunch there - wonderful (and HUGE) sandwiches. The locally baked bread was amazing (we had the garlic herb bread). You can sit inside or out on their cute patio area. Would definitely go back again.

I was visiting Jerome from the west valley (Phoenix) area. I hadn't been up here in years, and I friend and I were going to make a stop to the Puscifer Store. Before we left I wanted to grab something to eat. I had noticed this place when we first walked into town, but lost track of its location. So I checked yelp for places in the area, and ALMOST chose another place with the same 4.5 star review, but almost 50 more total reviews. Boy, am I glad I DIDN'T!! I got a buffalo chicken sandwich (the #29 if I'm not mistaken) on an herb bread with mayo, lettuce, tomato, jalapeños, avocado, and sprouts. All condiments are included at your choice for no extra charge. The bread was soft, fantastic herb selection, and - most important - delicious! The chicken had a nice peppery blend, and was succulent and juicy. Everything tasted fresh, and fantastic!! It was $6.49 for a 6 inch, $8.49 for 8, and $12.49 for 12 inches. So, basically a dollar for each additional inch of sandwich. Very hearty, filling sandwich I must say. The two staff members working inside we're very nice and courtesy. I work as a chef, and cook for a living - please give them some love and put a little in the tip jar. Before I left, I made it a point to tell them how wonderful a sandwich I had. And, that I was glad I stopped in. You will be TOO - trust me!!

A nice find in Jerome. It's not touristy but has charm and a friendly staff. The sandwiches are delicious and you get big portions. A great view from the window inside or you can sit on their patio on a nice day. We stopped by for lunch and I shared a Turkey and Ham with my kid and my wife had a hot chicken sandwich. Both are great. I think next time we come through we'll try some sandwiches to go and walk to the park for a picnic and enjoy.

A great deli is such a wonderful thing! And this is truly a great deli. A wide selection of sandwiches and salads, both traditional and creative. Fresh ingredients. Generous portions - the smallest sandwich, a 6", was stuffed with goodies so tall that I could barely get my mouth around it. The space is cute and comfortable, with a great views. A fantastic addition to Jerome dining!

We've actually ended up eating here twice, once a couple years ago with my parents on a cold November day. We had the dog with us, and it was the only place we could find that would allow her on their patio. I don't remember what I had to eat, but I remember the hot chai latte I had was AMAZING! We still talk about it. My fiancee and I ate there again recently. We tried to find another dog-friendly spot, just because we like to mix it up, but after being turned away from a couple places, we quickly retreated to Hilltop. He had the Hot Pastrami Sandwich and I had the Monterey Ranch Chicken, both of which were tasty and generously portioned. With their tasty food, friendly service and beautiful, quiet view, I think I owe our pup a thank you for helping us find this place!

Good choice of sandwiches but really big, 3 people could easily split a large with a side to share. Bread very fresh and tasty. Friendly service.
