Home away from home! This is an amazing place from the moment we booked the cottage until we left. The owner Pat was a delight to work with from the start. The cottage we had was the 3 bedroom 2 bath at 919 Beaver and was perfect for 5 of us, our in-laws and our dog. We had plenty of room and comfort. You felt like you are staying at Grandma's house. Adorable quint furniture, beds were very comfortable. Extremely clean, lots of towels and incidentals that you don't think about taking. Snacks, coffee cereal, creamer, pancake mix and syrup. They left us a wonderful bottle of wine since it was my husband's and Mother's birthday's. Nice outdoor furniture, a grill, plenty of dishes, utensils, cleaning products, foil, hairdryers, washer dryer with detergent, I could go on and on. You could easily move in and just take your clothes. The owners are very accommodating, it was a hotter than usual weekend for Flagstaff so the owner stopped by and installed a window air-conditioner in the MBR for our comfort. I just can't say enough about this place. We will return!

We really enjoyed our stay! A great alternative to your standard hotels....it was homey, cozy, and fairly close to the main drag (not within walking distance in the winter, though). The home on Columbus had a nice gas fireplace in the bedroom, some basics in the fridge (muffins and juice), cable tv, and was pet friendly. We would certainly return!

My newlywed wife and I stayed at the "Mountain Country Retreat" (2br 1ba) which is the second floor of the "Hideaway in High Country" (1br 1ba) we originally wanted but was booked. When I told Pat, the owner of Comfi Cottages, that it was my wife's birthday and that I was looking for a cozy and special place for her, Pat helped us a great discounted rate. The place was fantastic and exceeded expectations. The upstairs cottage has a beautiful open layout where the kitchen, dining and living room are one connected space. There is ample natural lighting and you even can see the mountains from the windows. The kitchen was stocked with hot chocolate, coffee, fruit snacks, granola bars, and cereal. There are also dozens of magazines and booklets on things to do in Flagstaff and greater Arizona. The included washer dryer (and detergent provided) were a huge bonus. Finally, Pat even gave us an extra 2 hours to check out free of charge. She is one of the nicest hosts I have come across. Highly recommended. As good as it gets! Thanks Pat!

Given today's rates for hotels, $150 for this one bedroom downstairs cottage seemed fair enough for a B&B but boy was I wrong. This was a downright STEAL. ONE BEDROOM? The one bedroom was huge. Fireplace, futon that opened up into a bed, bathroom that was beyond accommodating - this place was PERFECT. The provided pancake mix, milk, orange juice and more was simply perfect. The kitchen and the living room sealed the fact that this place is a hidden gem. We arrived with a 10 month old and a 3 year old and the place was even setup for that. Child safety plug covers on the outlets, etc... Did I mention the amazing kids park with swings, slides, etc. that was walking distance from the place? Oh and the people upstairs? DON'T WORRY. It's laid out so their bedrooms are above a garage and not your bedroom/living room so WE NEVER HEARD THEM. I will be going back to this place anytime I come through Flagstaff and I recommend you support these people too. Thank you Comfi Cottages!

Just got back from a very pleasant stay at Comfi Cottages! What a wonderful experience! The cottage was VERY cute! There was plenty of room for all of us girls, and the house was very clean, and the fridge had lots of goodies in it! I have absolutely no complaints about our stay and would stay with comfi cottages again in a heart beat. I just read one of the other reviews and have to say, I saw absolutely no spiders anywhere. So no worries there! If you are looking for a comfortable and cute place to stay in flagstaff, I would HIGHLY recommend this place!

Been staying at Comfi Cottages since 2004. Always a welcome home away from home. The Birch units are our favorites.

My wife and my parents recently made a trip to Flagstaff and we stayed at the 919 Beaver cottage. Comfi Cottages are like a home away from home, they are vintage homes in the old historic part of down-town Flagtaff and are decorated with nice antiques and modern conviences which enhanced our stay. Why would anyone stay at a hotel when you can stay in an historic home, close to everything and truely be part of the overall Flagstaff experience.

I'm rather torn on this one. On one hand, it is obvious the owners really want their guests to be happy. We stayed in a one bedroom with a loft overhead for the kids. There was a full kitchen, which was nicely stocked with lots of complimentary goodies. The owners had thought of all the things that would make life easier on travelers: small cereal boxes, juices, coffee, creamers, yogurts, popcorn, cocoa, teas...there was even a first aid kit in the bathroom. The bathroom and kitchen areas were really clean. So in that way, I would normally give a place 5 stars and find the value to be really great. On the other hand, the loft and bedroom and living area were in desperate need of dusting, cobweb clearance and spider squishing. Our night was way too eventful. Our son found a bunch of webs in the loft and started wigging out. Then my husband found and squished a spider by the bed and then we found a table next to the bed (which was on the floor, since the loft didn't have the height for a bedstand) that had two spiders crawling around underneath it. We ended up moving the table outside, but still didn't feel comfortable having the kids sleeping in there. We then starting searching the downstairs bedroom. We found only one spider in the linen closet, but then we didn't want to use the extra towels or blankets. There were old cobwebs all over the back and underside of the bedframe. So...we dusted a bit, and the kids and I slept sideways on that bed while the husband slept on the couch. Not comfortable. The owner was apologetic about the spider issue, but didn't offer a partial refund. Granted, we didn't ask, but I was a little surprised they didn't offer. I don't expect that a place would vacuum and dust high areas and behind beds every day, but these were old webs...many with several layers of dust. A monthly deep cleaning and a weekly spider hunt would have fixed the issue. Add to the spider issue is the mixed issue that this house was right along a grocery stripmall. Nice, in that you don't have to drive to get a few things from a restaurant or store. It's perfect to go for a stroll and stretch your legs before finding dinner. Bad, in that you get to listen to girls' screaming, men swearing, and cars racing along the back of the parking lot. In the end, we didn't get much sleep, which is one of the reasons for paying someone for a room. I think, had the spiders and webs not been present, I might have given a 4 to this place. Dunno. My husband thinks I'm picky; he pointed out that "cabin" was in the title of the place and I should have been prepared for some rustic traits. He was also convinced that the owner would take our experience into consideration and give the place a thorough cleaning. But I was just so tired in the morning, and my main thought was that I wouldn't ever come back. I hate spiders.

My husband, our 2 dogs and four cats, and I stayed here for one night on July 15, 2012. I called about three weeks beforehand to reserve this special date as we were passing through Flagstaff from New Mexico to our new home in L.A. Pat, one of the owners, was such a nice lady to talk to on the phone. She said she had the perfect house for us, and she did. Parking with my vehicle and my husband's truck with a trailer attached was adequate. It was also close to a quick bite to eat. I was anticipating a hefty deposit for our beloved furrballs, but Pat stated that they charged only (I believe it was) a $25 pet cleaning fee. This was in addition to our approximately $178 bill (tax included). We thought this was a bargain because we've never heard of a motel offering these kinds of arrangements for pets. We stayed at the Rock House which included 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. Though we were there for a very short time and did not get to enjoy many of the amenities, it was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was supplied with breakfast items such as pancake mix, butter, coffee, orange juice and MILK! We could have even washed a load of laundry if needed, but we were exhausted from the drive there. I highly recommend Comfi Cottages to those who travel with pets or need a reliable, safe place to stay close to downtown Flagstaff. Review #12

Love Flagstaff, love Comfi Cottages!!! We stayed at 710 W Birch and it was so cozy and full of everything you could need- including a washer and dryer! It was such a relief to be able to do some laundry while on a cross-country trip with three young kids. I was dreading finding a laundromat. Anyway, the cottage is ready with towels, linens, pillows, a first-aid kit, snacks, games, books, dishes... truly everything you could need. The wi-fi dropped quite a bit, but it wasn't that big of a deal for us. The location is great, just a few blocks from downtown, and maybe 1 mile to Lowell Observatory. Thank you Comfi Cottages for providing us with a home away from home! We will definitely be back when life brings us to Flagstaff again!

We rented at 12 Columbus, the rock house and it was fantastic! It was our first time renting a cabin and we were not sure what to expect. We arrived to find the cutest, most comfortable place. We stayed 3 nights, and they agreed to give us an extra night which we had not planned. We loved the feel so much that we asked for another night. It was safe, secure, comfortable with all amenities, and close to all of the good things Flagstaff offers. We used the gas fireplace, patio, big kitchen, and ample parking space for our small trailer that hauled our Harley. I can't say enough good things about the cabin. It surely beats renting a hotel. We felt totally relaxed and at ease with no complaints at all.
