Authentic Mexican food, drinks, desserts and atmosphere; including Mexican candy at the cash register which I remember seeing in Baja, Mexico, years ago. I ordered 3 tacos: El Pastor, Asada and Barbacoa - outstanding, really good! They serve 2 great salsas (verde & chipotle) when you first get seated, both are delicious, but pretty hot / spicy. #SpringdaleTacoTour

Had high hopes when we came in. But Both chicken and Asada tacos looked really good but fell short. All the right ingredients but Meat managed to be overcooked, greasy, dry and un-flavorful all at once. Refried beans were completely and utterly puréed beyond recognition. Rice was standard. Corn Tortillas were decent. Service was curt but effective. Univision playing the game. Good drinks selection licuados, juice, sodas,

I had the pleasure of eating here for the first time last night (Saturday) at 2 am. I was with some friends from the area that highly recommended it. What I saw was a bit SHOCKING having lived in Bentonville for a few years now where EVERYTHING is closed by 10 pm at the latest(food). There were old and young packed inside just enjoying their food and life. The waitress we had was very friendly, although another reviewer mentioned this was probably because we were men lol, our food came out clean, fast, hot, and friendly. They had, the book of eli, playing on their tv's, which was cool. My friends recommended the page that has the tacos/burritos on it. I ordered two tacos asadas that I will post a pic of. Very delicious, don't think I can eat taco bell again. My friends recommended king burrito in rogers if I want something similar but closer again. The portion of tacos I received was very big, and it also only cost me 3.75. I felt so ashamed that I tipped more then the cost of my meal lol. The chips and salsa that came out was good too. Don't know what type of hot puff of circle the chip was, but it was good. The red salsa was very spicy! Ohh FYI, the waitresses don't appear to speak any english, but the cashier did. They do accept credit cards. You pay at the door when you are finish.

Good food. Very authentic. Service was also very good. Any time they "don't" bring chips and salsa when you sit down its a good sign and they don't.

If you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and not that white people cheese-dip, fajita, etc. bull**** then this is the place for you. The menu is in Spanish so you know it's the real deal. As a member of a Hispanic household this is one of only a few Mexican restaurants that I would actually be bothered going to. Alambre, Pastor, Lengua, Asada; you name it, they've got it. Just talking about it makes me hungry.

Visiting from the city of Mexican Food (Los Angeles) it's not practical to compare NWA Mexican Food and Boyle Heights (West of East L. A.). But if I had a choice of the closest to the taste and aura I'll pick El Cuñado. The food is excellent with hand made tortillas (if the old lady is in the kitchen). From Sopes to Fajitas the menu is closely compared to some of the best Mexican eateries of Los Angeles. If you're looking for a hole in the wall, the Best Mexican Food and a chance to speak a little bit of Spanish then this is the place in all of Northwest Arkansas.

Went here over two years ago and LOVED this place for authentic Mexican fare. Top-of-the-line! Made a return trip to Arkansas last week and was not as impressed as the first time I was there. Carne Asada was overcooked and my son's chicken quesadilla was oozing grease. He even pulled out a two-inch chicken bone as he was attempting to eat this mess. Positive notes......chorizo tacos were amazing, salsas were top of the line. Also prices are very cheap!!!

Easily the best authentic Mexican food in Northwest Arkansas. I love the variety of meats they offer and their sauces are spicy but not too spicy that it ruins any flavors. I eat here at least once a week. Barbacoa is one of my favorite meats there but the buche is amazing as well. Barbacoa, buche, and tripa are my favorite meats. ENJOY

The best Agua fresca, horchata, pozolé and Alambré around! Might be a slight language barrier for americans, but it's worth it.

If you want authentic Mexican food then eat here. This place took me back to my days living in Chicago and traveling to the taqueria on Chicago Ave. getting an assortment of tacos to munch on. Ahhh! The good old days!! The atmosphere here was fun and funky with Mexican pop music blaring from some weird but cool video montage playing on the televisions. The waitress was kind and helpful offering her service if we needed help in understanding anything because the menu is completely in spanish. This ain't TexMex baby and I love it! Order everything and then order it again. It's just that good.

The best Mexican restaurant in NWA. Very authentic, down to the goofy soap operas and game shows playing on the televisions. One of the few places in the area that has flor de calabaza (squash blossom). Would go more often if Taqueria Vega wasn't so convenient (and nearly as delicious). (review based on ~5 visits) Price Per Person: - Under $10 Recommended Dishes: - Flor de Calabaza (Squash Blossom) Quesadilla; Tacos al Pastor Best for: - Lunch or Take Out

We drive about 2 hours on a horrible road just to eat here on occasion...authentic as you can get the best food and clean and friendly...they have fresh liquados(shake mexican style) and aguas frescas (fresh fruit waters) all made there on the spot with fresh fruit...you will not believe it. MUST EAT HERE!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
