My son married a wonderful girl from Piggott AR and we went there for the wedding. There really isn't many choices to pick from in Piggott for lodging. We were very pleasantly surprised with the Downtown Inn. The Inn is an old 2 story building that use to be a bank. It was remodeled into a very comfortable bed and breakfast. We rented 3 of their 9 rooms. Our room was very large with a big comfortable bed and it had a large sofa bed. There was a two person jet spa tub in a room that was between the bathroom and the bedroom. We had a good size flat screen tv. The other two rooms we rented for my daughter and father were very nice as well. Every morning the Inn manager, Beverly makes a large hot breakfast that is served in their charming dinning room. We had a different breakfast everyday, Consisting of things like Eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, waffles, potatoes, fruit, juice, coffee and it was all wonderful. The owners of the Inn live there in a beautifully remodeled apartment. They are very friendly and have a lot interesting stories to tell about the history of Piggott. I was very pleased with this place, but just two things I would mention. The train passes through town often and it is loud and fast. It blows it's horn all the way through. The Inn is close to the tracks. I sort of enjoyed hearing it, but it might bother others. Also the wooden floor creaks real bad upstairs. I didn't mind that either except I was concerned people below could hear it. My dad had the room below me and he said he didn't hear it. But it would be nice if they could fix that. If you ever find yourself in Piggott Arkansas or in nearby Kennet, do yourself a favor and stay at the Downtown Piggott Inn!
