Just had a take out meal from the Pasta House. Chicken Marsala with a side salad.. Very good meal says was amazing. Should have ordered dressing on the side the salad was swimming in dressing, yummy dressing, but too much. Fast service and good food would recommend.

The service was good--I never lacked for a refill and it didn't take any longer than expected to get my food. I had the Veal Picatta, which is one of my favorite dishes, italian or otherwise. The sauce was really good--not too tart and quite flavorful. However, the veal was overcooked. The side of fettuccine was also a little bland. I'd give them another shot for the sauce alone. Also, the price isn't too bad. But they got a three because it was about a three overall experience (and I'm not an easy 3). A lot of places are nearly hopeless and will always be stuck at a 2 or 3, but I think with a little work The Pasta House could be a solid four.

Went to The Pasta House for lunch today....what a great place for Italian. Service is great, food is great. Perfect spin on great italian dishes. Highly recommend the Creme Brulee! I'd ask for a whole bowl, but wouldn't be able to walk out...that was gooooood. Definitely will be a regular spot for us as we've just moved to town.

One of our favorite places to eat in Maumelle. The owner has taken the Italian dishes we all know and love and added a flare to them. Some are more spicey while others just have some herbs that are not traditionally used in Italian dishes. I really like the way they have integrated cilantro, and jalapenos into their recipes. The soups are always very flavorful. The staff is always very friendly.

I was a little worried at first being that this p-lace is tucked away in a little strip mall. But I was so wrong! The Mexican Italian fusion is perfection! I had the chicken fettachini. Large portions, just enough spice to make it taste unique, and a smaller atmosphere. There are four stars instead of five due to the location and the fact that our "waitress" obviously didn't want to be there. I'm assuming she is the owners daughter. She had zero idea what she was to do, or what was expected of her as a waitress.

I usually order and pick up. It's always ready when I get there and always delicious.

Food is average - more like a fast food Italian. Not crowded. Atmosphere below average & place smelled musty. Ok for family quick bite but definitely not a date night! You get what you paid for.

I'm surprised I have never written a review of The Pasta House until now, as I've always had great experiences. The Pasta House has been in Maumelle for just about as long as I have. It's a great addition to the city, offering delicious Italian dishes at affordable prices. The owner is friendly and attentive. And the food is quite good - I've never tried a dish I don't like. Most recently, I had the Chicken Milano. It's chicken, broccoli, sun-dried tomatoes, and pasta in a parmesan garlic sauce. Although it typically comes with penne or rotini pasta, I requested standard spaghetti noodles. The dish was really flavorful and good! My husband had the Chicken Picatta, while our friend tried the Fresh Black Pepper Fettuccini & Shrimp. Both were finished off, so it's a good sign that they were enjoyed. By the way, you also get warm, soft bread with a side of whipped garlic butter...it's good stuff.

Was just in the area with my wife looking around for a place to eat after an appointment and read the reviews and decided to try it - since she loves pasta...and I tolerate it. She ordered the chicken Alfredo and LOVED IT!! I, on the other hand, had the chicken Marsala and it was actually good. I chose it with vegetables and they did a SUPERB job on the vegetables. The chicken Marsala had a fairly accented wine taste, but I guess it's supposed to. We liked it enough to want to venture back out here...and that's saying a lot for us. Not an elegant place, but the food is.

I do not relish having to write a review like this as I live in Maumelle and want to see restaurants here flourish and succeed. Based on my experiences here, I do not see how the Pasta House will make it. I actually ate at this establishment three times over a period of a couple of months before I decided to write this review as I was hoping the previous experiences were not the norm for this place. Sorry to say, that was not the case. The service was atrocious, the food was just average, and although the prices are not sky-high, you can get better value at Carino's or Olive Garden. All three times we visited this restaurant, the servers made it very clear they were not happy being there and at least twice it was the owner serving us! We were the only ones in the restaurant this last time as one other couple were on their way out as our party came in. I think we were asked, "What do you want?" rather blandly when he came over to take our order, it took at least 10 minutes to bring out the bread and butter (of which there was very little) and the server did not check back on our table to see if we needed drink refills, more bread, ANYTHING, until he brought the check. I am more than disappointed in what this restaurant has become as I took some out of town guests there a few years back and it really was good. Service has gone down the tank, the quality of the food has really gone down, and I will not be going back mainly based on the visits I made to give this restaurant a good chance. Think we'll go next door to the other restaurant where at least the service is friendly.

This is a small business, and it appears that the owner is the one that works the cash register and waits all of the tables himself, and there only appears to be one cook in the kitchen. This isn't a fancy mom-and-pop Italian restaurant, it's a budget pasta restaurant in a strip mall. The meals are inexpensive, with a typical pasta dish costing less than $10. My family has dined here several times, and generally the food has been good, but a few of us have had overcooked pasta on occasion. They have homemade deserts, which are very good. The atmosphere is a bit too quiet, and on many occasions we were the only customers in the restaurant - even at prime time on a weekend. We've always had good service, but then again, we were often the only customers in the restaurant.

Great service. Had the sausage and peppers pasta and it was very good. They had Creme Brulee for dessert that was wonderful. Good sized portions and reasoanable prices, what more can you ask? Went back and had the Ravioli with meat sauce. Loved it.

I've never had a bad meal here. The food is well portioned and fresh, and the service is top notch.

The best Italian around? No. But the food is good. The prices are more than reasonable. The portions are large. And the service is attentive and friendly. I like this little, nearby restaurant.

The only time that I went there, I was impressed with the service and the food. I had the Sausage and pasta it was really good. The server was attentive as well. I will go back again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
