It's amazing to find such Phenomenal hibachi in Maumelle. I love this place.

As far as it goes for Japanese Steakhouse, They are normally priced higher and the same experience everytime. Sashimi was able to produce the same style, food quality and service that you would find at one of your more expensive places but with out the high prices. Huge portions and quite a large selection of sushi and rolls. They even have a maumelle roll wanted to try it but well next time I'm in town If your in Maumelle and you need to get your sushi fix on this is a great place to go. They're weren't kids in our party but at the same table and the chef was great in keeping the whole table laughing. I left extremely full and satisfied

I have been to most of the sushi places in Little Rock and this is easily one of the best. The servings are huge and the prices are very reasonable. Best ginger dressing anywhere.

This is my favorite restaurant. Wonderful Sushi and the hibachi is amazing. The price isn't bad for the amount of food you get.

We live in Maumelle and frequent this place often. But we never go when we are in a hurry or on a budget. The sushi is delish! Maumelle Roll is our all time favorite. Everything else is great as well, probably my favorite fried rice anywhere. The hibachi is always fun and entertaining. Their only downfall is they always seems to be under staffed, so the service is always slow. And I mean always. But you just have to know this and prepare accordingly. It's like dining in Paris where nothing is fast. Order 2 drinks if you don't want to wait and sit back and relax, it's worth the wait!

This little off the wall place has some of the best sushi in the area. The Maumelle Roll is fantastic. If you are doing pick up, they will tell you 20 minutes.... Show up in 30! ;-) Worth it!! Must try!

Best restaurant in Maumelle! The service is over the top. Good sushi. Hibachi is really good. Only issue is it needs to be bigger.

Probably my favorite sushi restaurant in Central Arkansas, which is saying something. The hibachi filet is probably the best I have ever eaten. It seems to come out chewy at every other locale I've been to, both locally and out-of-state, but they always make it perfectly here. The Valentine's roll is delicious. One minor point of contention: they hardly ever answer their phone so good luck trying to place a to-go order.

The sushi rolls here are a work of art and the service is outstanding. The Blue Dragon Roll is awesome and I order it every time. They also have a new roll almost every night. The sushi chefs are artists.

Food was great, sushi was amazing- check in staff was a little rude and the facility itself could use a serious cleaning. The grill cook was great with kids and handed out little toys plus did all the tricks we expected. Overall, we would go back

While I love the sushi over at Papa Sushi, and it holds the title as my favorite sushi restaurant in Arkansas, I still love trying new things at other places. Using the cool slot machine feature on Urban Spoon's iPhone app, I came across Sashimi Japanese Steakhouse in Maumelle. It had really good reviews, so I decided that we'd eat there for our weekly date night. Maumelle isn't too far from us, and we got there for dinner at about 7:30 on a Saturday night. The restaurant was full, but we didn't have to wait for a table, which always makes me happy. Our server told us to seat ourselves and then came back to take drink orders. We stuck with water that evening, and he kept our glasses full the whole night. The restaurant has a huge hibachi area in the back half, but we were on a sushi date. And dumplings for an appetizer. The dumplings were good, but they weren't anything spectacular. They tasted like what we order at every sushi place we go to. But they were very good, and the portion size was generous. Four our main dish, we ordered four rolls to share: The Rainbow Roll: California roll with tuna, red snapper, salmon & avocado on top. ($8.50) The Snow Blossom Roll: Salmon & avocado covered with white tuna and two oriental sauces. ($9.95) The Oh My Gosh Roll: Spicy salmon avocado, crab stick deep fried with three different sauces. (10.95) The Harry Potter Roll: Soft shell crab, spicy tuna, asparagus, cucumber, craw fish salad and topped with seared tuna. (12.95) I think I would have ordered the "Harry Potter" roll if it had been made of fried chicken and mayo (both of which I hate) just because of the name, but it was my favorite. I wish the seared tuna on top had been salted & peppered a little more before being put on the roll, but it was absolutely delicious. The flavors all went together really well, and it was fantastic. It had good heat, excellent crunch and the sauce was not overpowering. My least favorite was the Snow Blossom, which was one of Graham's favorites. I think for me it was a texture thing, because there was no texture to it. It was fish and avocado. One piece I had was nothing but a big chunk of avocado on the inside, another piece I had was nothing but fish. I didn't realize it until I was thinking about why I didn't like that roll, but I love the sushi rolls that have more of a bite to them. My favorites always have cucumber or asparagus. This one just didn't do it for me. Not to mention the sauces were a little too sweet. They overpowered the taste of the fish and the avocado, and you ended up with a sweet, mushy tasting blob. The Oh My Gosh roll was Graham's other favorite, and my second favorite. It was absolutely delicious. It wasn't as spicy as I typically prefer, but he heat was there and the flavor was incredible. The Rainbow Roll was good, but it wasn't special. It tasted pretty much like every rainbow roll I've ever had. I probably wouldn't order it again, because they have 51 different rolls to choose from, but it you like the basics, it's definitely a good one to get. Putting the flavor of each individual roll here aside, the flavor of the fish was very, very good. I'm not sure exactly how fresh it was (seafood here makes me iffy sometimes, since it's a landlocked state), but it was delicious. There was no fishy smell or excess liquid. The fish was dry and firm, and all you could smell were the sauces on each roll.

Great restaurant. Food was really good. The only problem it wasn't hot. It was during lunch time and was really busy. But the food was good even cool.

This restaurant was recommended to us by former Californians who really know their sushi, so we put it on our list and made time one Friday evening to stop in. I was really excited. We got there about 5:45 p.m. on a Friday night, but it was already pretty full, and our seating choices were a table by the cold wind coming in the door or the sushi bar. We chose the sushi bar. I ordered a cosmopolitan to sip while we perused the menu. It took awhile to get and it was not very strong -- more cranberry than vodka! The menu looked lovely and my husband, NOT a sushi eater, found something that looked good to him on the menu. I had a specialty roll. Honestly, the sushi was good, but not better than Fuji here in Conway or Sushi Cafe in Little Rock. However, the service was not great. My husband is pretty sensitive to waiting to give an order, receive food or drinks or get attention for any problem, and the whole night I felt like he was a little on edge because things took a long time, and I had to work pretty hard to watch for our waiter and get his attention when we needed something. This reduced my enjoyment quite a bit. Our friends who recommended Sashimi said the sashimi combination is amazing and what they love there. I'm not a big sashimi fan (I like rolls and ngiri), so maybe others would like it better if they want sashimi. We won't be back; there are better options with better service in the area.

Sashimi is one of the better places to eat in Maumelle, and I enjoy dining here. It's a typical hibachi dinner show that you'll find in many Japanese Steakhouses around the area. The chefs are very friendly and entertaining, although if you've seen the routine more than a few times, it gets a bit repetitive. The food is good, although I think Benihana in Little Rock has an edge in terms of food quality and entertainment. The prices at Sashimi seem to be a bit on the high side.

I travel a lot and this is the best sushi you are going to get that is not on a coast. I have never had a bad roll. And the lunch combo is perfect. I do wish the hobachi was seperates from the sushi to give a better atmosphere. Still this place is great. Best restaurant in Maumelle.

I visit Sashimi every Monday (and sometimes on other days) and really enjoy the food. I typically sit at the bar and order sushi but also enjoy the grilled items such as the grilled calamari or chicken. The servers always remember my preferences and are very friendly. Top notch food and service every time. Try the dynamite roll, blue dragon roll, or the las vegas roll. Highly recommended.

We have eaten here a few times. I think it is one of the better sushi options in Central AR and it happens to be in my neighborhood. The service can be hit or miss. The bar tender is not the friendliest over the phone when taking your order and certainly does not go out of his way to make you feel welcomed when you pick up your order. The sushi makes up for his little "attitude." If you happen to be in Maumelle, give this place a try. The sushi is presented beautifully and taste just as good as it looks.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Whenever I come here, I feel like I'm back home :) My husband and I have had the hibachi dinner show here and the chefs are so entertaining. Also, the service is amazing! As for the food, I am in love with their hibachi shrimp plate! Use the yum-yum sauce (I think that's what it's called) and put it on your fried rice and you'll fall in love. I have it every time I come here! Can't get enough of it! Oh, I forgot to mention their salad. Their ginger dressing is the best I've had and I always find myself eating both mine and my husband's salads because of it. The sushi is good, too! It may not be the best I've ever had, but it fulfills my sushi cravings and that's all I really need. This is a far drive from where I live, but I definitely come here when I want my fried rice and sushi fix :D

My family and I came in on a Friday night around 8:30. Didn't have to wait. Service was pretty good, but the sushi was better! The server recommended the KFC Roll, and mannnn! Delicious. Their shrimp sauce was unique as well. Definitely hit this place up for some good grub.
