Best place in town!! It IS kinda pricey. Not terribly. But a tad. But ABSOLUTELY worth it! Best quality sushi and Asian food in Fayetville!

Very pleasantly surprised. I had spicy chicken and teriyaki chicken. Everything had a great flavor and we had more than enough to satisfy our appetites. This was my first experience with Korean food and I loved it. Definitely worth it.

It looks like an old Hardee"s building, but the food is excellent. My family and I tried a number of different entrees and each was unique and delicious.

This place always comes through. I love the dolsot bibimbap and dak bulgogi. The sides are always delicious and the staff is friendly and the food always arrives in a timely manner.

I love this place because: The staff welcomes my family cheerfully. Like their happy The food is fantastic. There are tons of options on the menu (Which I appreciate even though I almost always get fried rice) One of the TVs is seemingly always tuned to a news channel from Asia. My toddler has room to run around a bit. They have nice, big booths to sit in. The beer is reasonably priced. It is easy to drive to and park at KJ Sushi.

Four stars for just having a korean restaurant in Fayetteville, an extra star for warm and friendly service.

Highly recommended! I am never disappointed going here. Very friendly staff and plenty of food. Easily the best asian restaurant in Fayetteville, no competition. My personal favorite is the bulgolgi, which I usually get in the bento box.

Very neat, clean and great customer service. I walked in and you can immediately tell that this place is really clean. I don't ever buy sushi so I needed to be walked through the different options and the man that helped me was soo sweet. Def. Coming back. My veggie roll was great. Everyone was friendly and that is hard to come by these days. Left a tip too which I don't normally do on to go orders.

We discovered Korean food by accident and This place is incredibly good, they feed you good for the money. We ordered Bento boxes with three options and had to take half of it home 'cause we couldn't finish it (and we don't eat like little birds). They also served 6 little dishes with Korean food (kimchi, cucumbers, sprouts, etc) regardless of what you order which we really liked. The atmosphere is casual and they have pictures of the Korean soups. We will definitely make the trip to Fayetteville AR for this little jewel of a restaurant.

Let me start off by saying that this review is based solely on the fact that there IS a Korean restaurant in Arkansas. When I got the call that I would be on a work project in Arkansas for 3 months, my heart almost dropped. Leaving my sweet Manhattan bubble with all these restaurants, and coming to Northwest Arkansas. Oh yes, I was scared. With a little bit of Yelping, I realized that there was a Korean restaurant not too far away. Hence, I decided to take the jump and try this place out. Upon pulling up to KJ Sushi and Korean BBQ, I was a little skeptical. From the outside, this place looked like a fast food chain similar to a Yoshinoya or Panda Express. When I walked in, that didn't help my perception at all. You pretty much order at the counter, and they then bring the food to you, very similar to a food court or a fast food chain. Even so, I was not going to let that deter me from having a Korean meal in the middle of Arkansas. I proceeded to order the kimchee jigae and the dolsot bibimbap. To my surprise, their menu is pretty extensive considering the fact that there are probably a grand total of 100 Koreans in the state of Arkansas. From kalbi to soondoobo, this place has a fairly decent selection. When I was served, I did get about 6 different panchan along with my food. The kimchee jigae was actually pretty decent. There was good flavor in the dish, and the portion was just right. The dolsot bibimbap came out just as expected. There was the usual sized portion, and all the familiar ingredients that I've come to love. The only critical thing about the bibimbap is that their gochujang was a little on the sweet side. KJ Sushi & Korean BBQ, you are a diamond in the rough within Arkansas. Who would have known that this place would magically get into my rotation of the very few authentic Asian restaurants in purgatory.

I ordered seafood tofu soup. The soup is not spicy at all. I guess that was my fault should have tell them to make it spicier. However, the kimchi that came with the lunch wasn't spicy at all. In my years of eating Korean food this is the first time I ate a plain kimchi. The owner keep telling me that the spicy level of kimchi is based on the season of peppers that were used. Ok.... If it is not spicy enough why serve it to customer?

Fan-freakin'-tastic. We've been here several times and the food is always amazing, whether I get sushi or Korean food. The spicy tuna roll is one of the best I've ever eaten. I frequently get sashimi and it is always fresh and properly cut. My fiance usually gets some kind of soup and everything he has tried has been delicious. The bulgogi is amazing. The employees are so friendly and accommodating. I absolutely love coming here. The only weird thing is that sometimes the kimchi is spicy and sometimes it isn't, but it's good either way, so no complaints from me. The prices aren't super cheap but they are reasonable. The dinner bento box is a great deal at around $13. It comes with tons of food - soup, salad, two selections, and several side items.

Consistently the best Korean/Japanese place around. The staff is always friendly and willing to recommend dishes that will just blow your taste buds away... Have eaten here a couple of dozen times and it is just hard to beat!!!

So happy we found this place! We've been craving korean food for so long and found this little gem. Ordered the typical korean Bulgogi beef plate and the BBQ Short ribs! Both came with the typical 6 korean side dishes (bean sprout, kimchi, miso soup, cucumbers,...etc..) with steam rice. Very satisfying, tasty, and a large portion as well. The owner was very helpful in his recommendations. Everything paired nicely with my cold bottle of Hite! The server was attentive anf came by often to refill our waters and side dishes! Delicious! And if you like things spicy (like I do) just ask for more chili to pour on top of your food or in your soup. Highly recommend!

Flavorful Fabulosity. Spare Ribs, mango-shrimp tempura sushi, ragoons. I swoon. Whatever you imagine a hole in the wall Asian eatery to be in the Ozarks, KJs will prove you wrong. Very affordable. Staff so sweet they could smack a Mee Maw and she'd still thank them kindly.

The service was good but the food was just dam horrible. I went with my mom and my 2 sister. Me and my older sister order the soondubu while my mom and mai(other sister) older the bulgogi and kalbi. The meat was like candy....it not authentic while the soondubu it taste like it from the shin ramen package.

Spent the last 5 years Teaching English in Korea and moved back to Fayetteville and have been curious about his place on College. Found the menu online and the prices seemed way out of line from what I was used to paying in Korea. 6 month's after getting back and craving the food I missed I went in and got the Dolsot Bibimbap. It was much better than the Dolsot Bibimbap I was accustomed to. In fact MUCH better. Really wasn't expecting Banchan (side dishes) but true to Korea they brought out 5 dishes that were all very good and authentic. This was also MUCH bigger of a serving that I was expecting. Eating it all, so good I couldn't stop, and waddling out promising myself I will go back often. I can only speak for this first visit dish but if their standard of quality expands their MASSIVE menu, this place will be a staple in my eating out. ***Edit Review*** The last time I went they raised the price of their Dolsot Bibimbap to almost $15. Restaurant greed will have me making this simple dish at home.

Really great menu, super friendly staff, delicious food. Have tried numerous things on the menu, but the long standing favorites are the dolsot bibimbap, the kimchi jjigae, kalbi tang, and the kimbap. Always a good meal with plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day!

Chirashi and vegetable tempura very good! Restaurant is order at the counter and food brought to your table, but once you get past that it's quite good! Staff was very friendly and prompt. Must come back to try Korean menu.

As someone who has never liked sushi I was skeptical but I am blown away by KJ- best sushi in town- hands down. So excellent.

Order at the counter - grab a seat and they will bring the food to you. Interesting mix of Korean and Japanese. I opted for the bulgogi but started with an order of yakimandu. Actually, it was gyoza but they pan-fried the dumplings in a Korean style. I found the dumplings really flavorful. They were steamed and pan-fried at the same time which creates a really interesting juxtaposition of textures. Add in the vinegared soy sauce with scallions and a little bit of powdered red pepper and they were delicious even before you take the meat & vegetable filling into account. Add that in and they were amazing. The bulgogi was an interesting interpretation of one of my favorite Korean dishes. The meat was mildly seasoned and presented almost like fajitas. Picture a sizzling platter with a layer of cabbage followed by the cooked meat, onions and scallions. The flavors were good but just not quite right in my opinion. A really good bulgogi will have the taste of hours in the marinade but the meat was a little bland in their version. Ban chan - it's not really a Korean experience unless it involves ban chan! Theirs came in about 6 varieties including the mushrooms that I declined. Everything else was really good but the pickled radish stole the show. It is interesting to me how the vegetable which traditionally has the biggest bite (the others offered included kimchi, cucumbers, potatoes, etc) wound up being the mildest.

Very good sushi menu and their price is the lowest around. You get a lot of food for the price. You will not leave hungry at all.

The sushi rolls are HUGE so don't be fooled by the price, they are worth the money. The go hogs roll was outstanding with the melty cream cheese and salmon so give that a try. They also bring you miso while you wait. And the bento box is a great value for how much food you get! I know where I'll be getting sushi from now on!

KJ has the best sushi and Korean BBQ in NWA hands down. As far as sushi, I always get either the salmon roll or the Super Crunch Roll made with Spicy Crab. Both are delicious & I would recommend just about anything on their menu. Their bulgogi is super tasty & authentic and I'm in love with their miso soup. I think the only items I wouldn't recommend are the chicken teriyaki & salmon teriyaki (both are always dry). Staff and cashiers are always friendly. I'm only bummed that the new owners have raised the prices tremendously on literally everything. We used to come on a weekly basis, but now not so much just because of the spike in prices. I would expect to pay this much at a sit down restaurant, but not one with a fast food type of atmosphere.

Tried this place on a whim, complete with a girlfriend who was none too convinced that she'd like it. We were both surprised. It's truly the only experience of its kind in the area. The quality of the food is outstanding and you get an almost impossible amount of food for the money. The kimchi was especially good, and the short ribs were awesome. I'll definitely be back.

Great place to eat with so many options. I've never had a bad meal here. Big fan of the Sushi.

Truly authentic! Amazing selection - from sushi to traditional items. When you order an entree you get traditional sides like miso soup, various sweet & pickled sides, and rice. Fresh, delicious, and the staff is super sweet and nice. Definitely going to be a regular place we visit!

I spend a lot of time searching for actual Korean food that isn't ridiculously expensive. Imagine my surprise when I find this gem in Fayetteville, AR of all places. I grew up eating Korean food along with my family and this restaurant is just like home! I love it. Nothing on this menu will dissapoint. Scouts honor.

I feel like I was in Korea again. The staff was very friendly, delicious foods, very reasonable price, and foods were service quick. The owner came out and talk to everyone and gave us free sushi. Only flaw? Way too much food but I was happy to bring it home for tomorrow. I will definitely go back.

I have to give major credit to these owners. Authentic Korean dishes that warm your stomaches and satisfy the soul. I'm from NJ/NY and I always find it hard to locate good Korean food outside that that area or California or Chicago. To my delight, KJ Sushi and Korean BBQ brings the A game. While rocking the japanese dishes like tonkatsu (pork cutlet) and of course sushi (there are so many types on their menu), the ahjuma (auntie/owner) delivers the best of traditional Korean dishes without compromise. If you want a great experience with Korean cooking, come here. Definitely suggest anything on the menu. Be adventurous, you won't regret it.

Korean for sushi? YOU BET! They have a huge and delicious Sushi menu. My wife and I lived in Korea for a number of years and this is as good. The owner is kind and friendly and will hand make you any Korean dish you ask for! Not on the menu not a problem let her know! Love this place!

Blown away by this place. Amazing food, fast service. I've only been one so far but this just became a regular stop for me. WOW! looks pretty ghetto from the outside, just don't judge this book by its cover. The only reason I'm on the fence with 4 stars is it is serve yourself on drinks and you don't really have a server. Service wasn't bad by any means, I just prefer to be waited on than stand in a line like fast food

Had the Korean bbq short ribs, so good. The sushi was better though and I had the spicy crab roll, so delicious. The meat was great but if you're into sushi this is the place to go.

Korean food is back in Fayetteville!!! Excellent service and great food. The Bulgogi was served hot, fresh, and delicious. I'm a sucker for a hot pot so the bibimbap was right up my alley. Ask for the red sauce - you are going to want to spice it up. The edamame was bland and a bit lifeless but this was not enough to spoil the meal at all. Tons of sushi on the menu and your standard set of sushi-related appetizers. I'm always leery of sushi anywhere but a true Japanese restaurant but many others were partaking. We will definitely be back!

Not what I expected - they bring you a lot of food but it just doesn't taste that good. Volcano roll was pretty tasty, as well as the Miso soup. Service was ok, environment was similar to fast food- no ambiance.

I was very excited to see a Korean Restaurant here in Fayetteville. After living on the east coast, I have high expectations for a delicious Korean meal. So, I was skeptical to try the place out. The dinning area was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed that they were playing the Korean news on one of the televisions. The menu was a bit overwhelming and confusing. It has large pictures, no explanations, and lots of options. Our cashier was emotionless, not friendly, and cold. She was not a very good first impression of our dining experience! We ordered the soondubu soft tofu hot pot and a seafood korean pancake (which was not on the menu, we had to ask), and two cups for water. The total seemed a bit pricey (pancake was $14!!!), but I was crossing my fingers it would be worth it. We received our little plates of kimchi and pickled spicy goodness. So far, so good. We ordered family style to share the hotpot and pancake. It was enough for two people. The pancake was crispy and delicious. Although, I wasn't too thrilled about the imitation crab infused into the pancake. The hot pot was bubble hot and had great flavor. Overall our experience was good, we will be back!
