The staff were friendly, helpful and the service was quick. We were in and out during lunch time in under 50 minutes. We ordered the tacos de carne asada, mole poblano, and a kids taco plate. The mole was awesome. The tacos de carne asada was not what I expected as I've come to expect cilantro and onions on the steak and served on corn tortillas. The seasoning on the meat was a bit bland and I found it necessary to put the guac and salsa on to dress it up a bit. They were served on flour tortillas. The beans however, had an outstanding taste and were a burst of flavor in your mouth. My 3yr old son enjoyed the beef taco. All in all it was a very good experience.

I've grown up on La Hacienda. It started with me going to the Hot Springs location and when they opened in Benton, our family was so excited. It is amazing! Fresh and friendly service. The punch is great and homemade. The carne asada is delish. Their guacamole is amazing and I love their salsas. Especially the sweet salsa. Ask for it if they don't bring it to your table. I've been to lots of Mexican places, and la hacienda is my all time, hands down fave.

The best Mexican hands down. Not Tex-Mex. The real deal. Absolutely delicious Margaritas & Micheladas. Friendly wait staff & fast service. Great prices!!! This place is the whole enchilada!!! Totally worth it. Best restaurant in Benton!

I just wanted to check up after 3 months and I can say confidentially that the food and service is still spectacular. Still 5 stars, awesome service and even better food. I wanted to say that the manager and servers seem ever present and the chefs are still truly serving the greatest Mexican food in central Arkansas. Thank you again la hacienda for the best expierence possible.

I will never go to another Mexican joint in town, and I mean that literally. You can't find a place with better service or food, and the atmosphere is colorful and light. The prices aren't bad, either, and they make wonderful drinks. My favorites are the quesadillas, the campero, and the taco salad. Wonderful place, wonderful service, and wonderful people. What more could you want?

La hacienda is the only place to get good Mexican food in Benton. New owners have made the food top notch. They also recently obtained a liquor license so you can have a Dos XX or Margerita with your meal.

Really good Mexican food but there are some things to note: -some of their dishes use Indian or middle eastern spices so it doesn't taste authentic at times. Tasty but for sure Indian flavored. -a bit expensive and prices on yelp are a dollar or two shy of restaurant price. -great wait staff usually. Enjoy!

Without a doubt, the worst food I've ever been served anywhere. The service was friendly and fast, but the food was astoundingly bad. My boyfriend and I stopped here for dinner one weekend. We ordered chicken fajitas for two. Having never been here before, we figured it was a safe bet at any Mexican place. We were wrong. The salsa tasted far too strongly of cilantro and onion and was not good at all. I generally don't mind some cilantro in my salsa but this was just overpowering. When our food came we were surprised to see fajitas served on a cold ceramic platter rather than the customary sizzling skillet. But the presentation was only a minor setback. The real problem was the flavor. Immediately I could tell these fajitas smelled different. But the flavor is unlike anything I can describe. They smelled and tasted sort of like Chinese food that had been doused in soy or Worcestershire sauce. I've never tasted anything like it and I never want to again. The plate of rice, beans and pico served alongside the fajitas was really bad as well. The beans were literally greasy. I have never seen an order of beans covered in grease. I was able to sop up the oil from them with my napkin the way you sometimes have to do with greasy pizza. I think between the two of us, we ate five or six bites, and I felt sick for the rest of the day. When I say it is the worst food I've ever been served, I'm not exaggerating. I would not go back here.

Hated it. Beautiful decor.....lousy food! We didn't come up to the standard of the reviewers I had read.

La Hacienda is simply the best! Terrific food. Fast, friendly service. Bottomless fresh salsa (and believe me, I've tested this thoroughly), and a festive atmosphere make La Hacienda great for a business lunch or a birthday night out with friends. It would be a bargain at twice the price.

Based on the reviews I was expecting more. The food was fresh hot and good. The salsa is tasty but they do not understand spicy. I would say the first Mexican meal I have ever had that had no jalapeños. I am not a local so I can't say I'll be back but I would come back if I was a local. Not the best I have ever had but no where near the worst! Service was great!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
