I've been in Alabama for four days now and every other restaurant I've dined at has been sorely subpar. Jason's was such a relief! Huge salad bar, fresh ingredients, and decent flavors. I ordered The Papa Joe to go and my boyfriend enjoyed some free ice cream while we waited (nice perk!). I've had better sandwiches in my life, but for the area, this place is to die for. The prices are also around $3 cheaper than comparable sandwiches in California. I wish I had found this place earlier! If I'm ever in Alabama again, I'll definitely come back.

No wi-fi in a college town? No military discount in a non-military town (how much income could they possibly lose)? Food is on par with any other JD, but come on, people, get your stuff together.

We were really pleased with the food and the service at Jason's. Big BLT and Muffaletta , delicious potato soup, and access to large salad bar for only a dollar more! Looking forward to finding the one closer to home.

Salad bar is awesome. The White chicken chilli and Irish potato soup is good. The ranchero wrap is great and low calorie.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Tuscaloosa. As seen before in the reviews, they have the best salad bar. My favorite item to get beside the salad bar is the Asiago Pot Roast Sandwich. It's delicious. Keep in mind that this sandwich has horseradish in it and if you are not a fan of spicy items this might not be for you. You can always ask that it be removed, but I am not sure if they will comply. Enjoy! By the way, if you are reading this Jason's Deli corporate, please add one down Highway 69 South. I think you will have some takers from Shelton State.

Well, if you have a Reuben craving in T-Town, you really don't have any place else to go. they use Russian dressing rather than Thousand Island, but at least they don't put mustard on it. This place is pretty busy, and you are likely to see members of the Alabama football team (at least the ones that aren't in jail). Not my first choice over all for a decent deli sandwich, but in Tuscaloosa I haven't seen better.

Great Deli even for a chain. Fast, hot and easy is the way I describe the service and the food here. I have yet to get anything disappointing here. The club royale is a yummy treat served up on a croissant, the turkey and ham are high quality meats sliced not to thin and the bacon is crunchy. The muffalettas are about as decent as you will get this far away from new Orleans, the bread is crunchy, the ham and salami is what I prefer and the olive spread is not bad at all, like I said before this far from New Orleans. the sizes, well, a 1/4 is big, a 1/2 is huge and a whole one is gigantic - about the size of medium pizza. Now onto what I normally get. It is always a toss up between the New Yorker and Reuben the Great managers special with the spicy seafood gumbo or French onion soup. First the soups: the gumbo is spicy, dark, rich and bold, really good. the French Onion is dark, brothy, oniony and cheesy on top. Now the sandawiches, these are basically the same but the Reuben has sauerkraut and thousand island dressing. The meat is warm, thin and seasoned top notch. I must add though these sandwiches are stacked and I do mean stacked high. I normally drag half the meat out and eat it with a fork. Salads? yes they have the freshest salad bar with healthy and different topping that you won't find in other salad bars, like black whole olives, artichoke hearts, fava beans and outstanding hummus.

This place is maddening around lunch. It's a big, sandwich, salad bar machine that constantly seems to be packed. It's a solid place to grab some non-fried food in a city full of artery clogging goodness and fast food. The service is always quick despite the wait and the staff is rather friendly. Nothing beats the fro yo while you wait for the line to die down. While it's a chain and rather unoriginal they get my vote in Tuscaloosa for one of the better, healthier lunch places to eat.

This place was definitely one of my favorite lunch spots in T-town. Pretty much everything I've tried is delicious. The salad bar is bomb and the manager's special is the best deal in the place. I also love the fruit dip. Try it if you haven't.

Pretty good sandwiches, great salad bar. The sweet tea is alright, too. I really like the roast beef sandwich they call a "Sergeant Pepper". The Sunday lunch crowd always packs the place, so try to get there early.

Love this place because it's a great place to get healthy meals and it's wallet friendly. Free soft serve and corn bread make it even better.

Jason's is a family favorite of ours. The food is good and plentiful. Not a true New York type deli but the Reuben is one of the better ones in town(at least since International Deli closed years ago). Great salad bar and the soups are really good. My son's favorite treat is to take advantage of the free ice cream and make a root beer float for dessert. Great place for kids. Only downside is that the tables are very crowded together.
