Eaten here several times with friends. The BBQ is OK. Its not anything to write home about but it is in fact BBQ. Staff can be slow on service especially when its busy. Not really any other BBQ offerings in Scottsboro so this is your best bet.

Food sucks. The ribs are dry and have no flavor. They aren't fall off the bone ribs, they need about 4 more hours on the smoker. The sides are OK. I got fries which are the Wal-mart frozen kind. The staff is friendly but slow. I won't be coming back.

If you like barbecue this is NOT the place for you. I've actually read some mixed reviews and decided to try for myself. I've had the BBQ platter with mustard cole slaw and baked beans. The pork was dry and had no flavor at all. The BBQ sauces available to me were no good either, cole slaw and beans were good but I didn't come here for them. Overall very poor food.

Driving through Scottsboro, we decided to stop here for lunch. We had a very good meal and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. A couple of us got the pork bbq sandwich with the mustard coleslaw and it was very good. Another got the pork ribs and they were also very good. The hot hushpuppies were excellent.

Good wholesome downhome BBQ. Good sides too. We all had the basic bbq pork sandwich, but everyone in our group really enjoyed their meals. It might not be the best BBQ on the plantet, but its for sure worth a visit if ever you find yourself in on Hwy 72 in NE Alabama!

Is it bad to go to a BBQ joint for something other than BBQ? I got the BBQ ribs and chicken combo. The ribs were pretty dry - flavored beef jerky. The chicken reminded me of roast chicken - no BBQ marinade or rub at all. The sauce on the side was more tangy than sweet, and the spicy bbq sauce is decent with lots of pepper. The sides were small portions of standard rice pilaf and steamed veggies - broccoli, cauliflower, and squash. The two-stars is for the BBQ baked potato, which was pretty good. Oversized potato piled high with rib meat, which was super tender compared to the BBQ ribs. A little cheese was sprinkled on top, and the sauce on the side.
