Huge portions, great prices, amazing food, but mediocre service. I live in downtown Auburn and drive out here whenever I'm craving Thai. Most definitely the best in the area. The pad see eaw is incredible. The curries are good too, but be warned they can get very spicy! Make sure you ask for a more mild one if you are sensitive to spice. The chicken lettuce wrap starter is a must. I wish I could say that I've tried a lot of their diverse menu, but I stick to the things that I love. That being said, I haven't had anything that wasn't worth getting again! Definitely give this place a try, but don't go if you're in a hurry. Service can be quite slow.

I wasn't very pleased. Food was mediocre at best. Over priced for food quality. Empty pond that's growing algae/mold/mildew in the idle of the dining area. Stopped on a whim, but won't go back.

This is the most authentic Chinese restaurant in the area. Nice ambiance. Good food.

This is a favorite dive of ours. Fresh, authentic Thai is awesome good and Chinese food is good. We live the Tom Ghai(?)Coconut chicken soup and Thai fresh spring rolls. I went to a trendy New York Thai place and ordered these things there and couldn't believe how bad it was compared to our little Wok N Roll. Very friendly, love, love, love this place! Never too crowded--don't let that scare you, and I've heard sushi isn't their strong suit.

What a great selection on the menu! Six of us ordered different dishes and shared. What a way to try a variety. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Thank you to all!

This house chow fun was overpriced but the most authentic chow fun I've had in Auburn so far. The owners used to run the same restaurant business in southern California so these noodles brought me back home. It's a bit of a drive but the owners were so friendly. The interior that run-down Chinese restaurant setup you would find in any Asian food place in Chinatown.

Food is great. Service is pretty good. Best authentic Chinese food I've found outside a china town. Ask for the chinese menu and try the potato beef (the ginger is strong, but it's exactly how it's supposed to be). Their wings are also quite good, although not chinese. Also, for the wannabe Zoologist below, the turtles are red eared sliders. They are AQUATIC turtles, not land. They'd be unhappy outside the water.

Food is above average as it is cooked on site though ingredients are pretty standard. The worst thing about the place is that the inter decor and fixtures could be pretty nice but seem to not be well cared for. Things were not clean, floors seemed dirty and the place was generally not orderly. The food is good enough (not as good as on previous visits) but ambiance is not so good.

The food is a little above mediocre and the service is fine, but the place just smells. It might be a combination of the bathrooms being poorly maintained and the pond never being cleaned. Speaking of the pond, they've got a terrapin (LAND TURTLE) in a 99% WATER pond/aquarium. When I told them about it, they said, "Yeah, we've been told that 100 times. He's happy." Did he tell you he was happy? Did his mother send a card from home thanking you for taking such good care of him? Does he smile and give you a thumbs up? HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT? The poor thing is probably in a watery hell.

The best thing on the menu is definitely the house special fried rice. It is overflowing with shrimp, pork, and chicken. It is full of flavor. The portions are more than generous for the price. When I order takeout, the rice takes up the entire styro takeout box. It's plenty for two to share. The spring rolls are always a good appetizer. They are served piping hot. Their broccoli with garlic sauce is also delicious and packs quite a bite! The Thai fried rice is also good but very spicy!! The service is always excellent, and the wait staff is always very personable. I love that they offer delivery, as it is hard to find in the Opelika area. ($25 minimum order for delivery)

The sushi is awful. There were only a few other customers in this big empty restaurant, and the sushi came out one roll at a time very slowly and progressively got worse. Now, the lo mien was actually good.

Sushi is rough. Bathrooms are rough. Spring rolls and peanut sauce are delightful though.

DO NOT ORDER SUSHI. Couldnt even eat the kamikaze roll. Everything else we had was fine (Lo mein and spring rolls). The bathrooms are also very gnarly.

Definitely some of the best Chinese food I've experienced. Being from California, fresh ingredients are the norm; in Alabama on the other hand, vegetables like broccoli, asparagus, etc seem to fall short in color and crispness. But Wok never disappoints. The shrimp fried rice and Sesame Chicken are amazing. Dinner time can get a little pricey because oddly, they don't offer combination plates. Lunch specials are available everyday from 11 to 3pm for around $6.50. You get an entree and soup or eggroll. The cool little log cabin look, plus awesome chinese food make for a cute place to bring a date. It's proximity to my job make it a staple in my work week, too.

This is a restaurant that serves Chinese, Thai, American, and a bit of Japanese food. We ate here tonight and I would say they cook some pretty decent food for being in the boonies of Alabama! I ordered a Thai dish that had seafood, eggplant and basil which was very good and full of scallops, fish, squid, mussels, shrimp and imitation crab. I really enjoyed it. The rest of the family enjoyed their food as well, except one mentioned that the Wonder Chicken/Beef dish was not so wondrous. I guess it's no wonder it took awhile to make because no one probably orders it and they forgot the recipe. Hehe.. the water tastes very off so you should request lemons with your water... aside from that we didn't get the opportunity to dance after our meal but if you are here on the weekends, I heard they'll play you hip-hop and you can dance after your meal. They also have a live band at night on some or most nights.. which is nice.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
