Great stuff. This is our go-to spot for Chinese take-out. Always fresh, always hot and stays hot during the journey home. The combo dinners supply an ample amount of meat, veggies and pork fried rice. These dinners are enough for two meals so I get to enjoy them an additional time.

Read this review from another person and was impressed with what was said. Tried it out for myself and um, um good. The food tasted fresh and was hot (in temperature!) For not a lot of money, you get A LOT!!!! The restaurant is not huge but enough space for a family to sit and enjoy a good meal. When in Montgomery, I will go back.

This little "hole-in-the-wall" has a very high health rating score and puts out extremely good Chinese food at a very reasonable price. Sitting in a dinky strip mall, Top China restaurant doesn't look like it's anything but cheap, average-tasting Chinese food, but that's so far from the truth. The food here is really good!

Best Chinese in town. Top 5 Chinese take out favorite of all time. The only thing I would not recommend is the egg drop soup. Everything else is amazing. Call this in before you go, they are always busy!

When I get takeout from this location I see it as a real treat. The flavor of the food has always been excellent.

Small restaurant located in a strip mall with 9 tables . Seems to cater more for pick up than dine in. I had the chicken and broccoli lunch special. Good portion size served on a plate . Fried rice was good , though cooked with a little too much oil. Chicken cooked with msg, so you should ask for your meal without . Meal was tasty, but too liberal on the sauce. Served quick and hot.

I was on a business trip staying at a hotel near by. I found this place because of the Montgomery County sheriffs dept. I saw them parked in front of the restaurant, and as I got closer, saw them getting carry out food. If there is one thing I've learned in my travels, it is eat where local law enforcement eats - they know! I was not disappointed. I got the usual hot and sour soup to test the bench mark. It was excellent. I wanted to go back the next day, but had to leave town earlier than they opened. I will be trying more menu options the next time in town. The other reviewers got it right. They were constantly busy taking phone and walk in orders. My order was done very quickly of course because of what I ordered. There were orders smoothly coming out of the kitchen and it was quite entertaining to watch the many cooks flying around the open kitchen. I would recommend this location to all even with my small sampling thus far.

The best Chinese in Montgomery! Serving real meat not fake shrimp and crab. Top china definitely gives you your monies worth. They supply you with enough food in the combo meal for two people to share. Quick service and quality food! Rating is almost always a 100. Top china is definitely a MUST GO if you haven't!

Top China is probably one of my favorite Montgomery restaurants. It's very convenient to places I frequent, with it being located in the EastChase area so when I don't cook I'll often find myself at Top China. I think the best part about this place is that while, yes, it is Americanized Chinese, it isn't gross and oily-- stomach ache inducing. Everything is hot, made to order and delicious. I also love that this place is so cheap! I can get two substantial entrees (which come with rice) and two egg rolls for under 15.00 with tax! Then, I usually eat off of what I buy for three to four days because the portions are huge too. I usually get the vegetable egg foo young and alternate between shrimp dishes on the menu. There's always a line when I go in, which I see as a good omen. There is also bountiful seating although I have only seen one or two people eat-in. They might have a better lunch crowd. I've only had to wait more than 30 minutes one time. However, I don't blame the staff because the place was swamped. To avoid waiting, especially if you're trying to get dinner after work (5:30/6:00) on a weekday, keep a menu in your car/at your desk and call in your order.

I was expecting it to be better from the previous reviews. Not bad, but certainly not great. Just passing through on I85.

HUGE portions and for about a couple dollars less than other local Chinese restaurants. I ordered the Chef Special #1 (general tso) and there's enough for 4 meals. Still hot and fresh when I got home with it.

Tried this place out tonite while stuck at Gunter Annex. Wanted some chinese take out to make a couple meals out of this weekend. Read some of the reviews and figured I'll give it a shot. I ordered some Shrimp Fried Rice, Gen Tso's Chicken and House Egg Foo Young. Needless to say food is excellent. Quality of the food is better than some fancier sit down restaurants I've been to in California. You can tell the difference in quality with the shrimp in the fried rice. They use the larger fresh shrimps rather than the tiny frozen ones you get in most restaurants. Would definitely hit this place up again before I leave Montgomery.

This is strip mall Chinese food at it's best! We're from VA, and have heard that the Chinese food is sub par here in Alabama... we read the reviews for Chinese and drove out of our way to get it here. We were not disappointed. The food was made fresh to order (we walked in and ordered) and was ready in about 15 minutes. No Joke, this place has to be the busiest restaurant in the river region. There was a new order placed ever 30 seconds, either by phone or by someone else walking in. (to me, this was a good sign!). The restaurant is more like a waiting room with chairs lining the room for you to wait for your order, but there are tables if you chose to eat here. We got 2 combo dinners (General Tso's and Sesame Chicken -adventurous i know!), and an order of pan fried won tons. Our total was right at $20. Once we got home we discovered what a great deal this truly was. I had enough for supper, lunch, supper, lunch (and was full at each meal). My husband had enough for a huge supper and huge lunch. The combo included the chicken, rice and an egg roll. Lo Mein was $1.00 extra. I would recommend this place-- This is now my go to Chinese place. YUMMM

Top China is located by the Brunos over by 110, just off of 85 on the east side of Montgomery. I get my vegetarian chinese take-out from here when I travel to Montgomery for work and stay at the enjoyable nearby Holiday Inn Express. There are many vegetarian options, although most are meat, and the taste is great. The food is SO cheap that you can order a couple of items and make your own hotel-room buffet, if you feel like pampering yourself. Food is fresh, hot, delicious and ample. Egg drop soup is not vegetarian, but the staff can direct you to other options. Call ahead and by the time you drive over it is ready, as they cook quickly. There are able tables there, but most people just use them to wait for their carry out. You can see into the kitchen a bit from the ordering area, and it always looks clean and organized! Update: They do deliver but require a minimum of $15.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
