Stopped by for a quick dinner and really enjoyed it. Servers were very pleasant and attentive. We ordered the bhindi masala and the yellow lentil dal. Both dishes were very good. We will definitely be back.

Great restaurant just getting established, very good food at reasonable prices. The only Indian food available in Montgomery, but it's tasty. Google maps will take you past the mini-mall which the place is actually located in. The menu is very extensive, offering dishes from throughout Asia, with a wide variety of meal options. We will be going again, and I recommend Taste of India to anyone.

I had a very nice experience here. $2 beer and wine for happy hour and plenty of choices, including vegitarian friendly options. The atmosphere is nice and the food doesn't fall short either. Our server was attentive and polite as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Very good Indian cuisine. I have eaten Indian food often and this was the best, I have ever had. Restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend eating the chicken marsala.

Wonderful food! Good service. We thought they could use better dinnerware, kind of took away from the wonderful food (if I forget to mention the food was great).

Had a surprisingly excellent meal here. A good Indian restaurant in Montgomery? Who knew? I have said it before and I'll say it again - for a city of its size, Atlanta has a shocking dearth of good Indian food. But dare I say I've found a solution - one that is a two hour drive? I had the bullet naan and Chettinad chicken - both were nice and hot and very tasty. My friend had the Chicken Coconut Curry and rice, which he also enjoyed. We both had the green chili pakoras and samosa chaat for the appetizer and everything we ate was very good. The only thing I disliked was the waiter whose sole responsibility seemed filling our waters and he literally swooped in every time we even took a sip. He must have refilled our glasses about 10 times .... during a 45-minute meal. P.S. My GPS lead me pass the strip mall where this restaurant is located into a residential complex.

We just happened to be at academy and were wanting something different. With two teens, one being a vegetarian, I was skeptical.. But what a great surprise when the food was delivered and it was wonderful. We had the saag paneer, chicken Marsala, tandoori chicken and a vegetarian dumpling something..which was actually superb! The Naan was perfect ..even though I've never had it sliced into triangles..it was a great texture and flavor. Just traveling through from Houston so I don't know if I'll see them again..but if you're looking for a great out of the way Indian cuisine..def try this place!!!

The bad reviews here leave me a little stunned. Maybe it's because I mostly get take out? The 3 or 4 times I've dined inside have been a pleasant experience. The food...is SO good. The saag paneer and naan is the best I've ever had. I have yet to meet a dish I didn't like here. The atmosphere could use a little work, but I hope this place is here to stay!

Wonderful food! It was a little difficult to communicate with the server, but it was a minor inconvenience. We've been twice, the second time as a request from her, so that shows she liked it. I can't remember the dishes she tried but both were flavorful. I had spicy curry the first time and and spicy coconut chicken dish the second time. Both were fabulous. I cannot wait for our next time! I did find it odd that very few people were there, but it must be they are busy for lunch.

I'm a huge fan of Indian food. I'm late to the party (had it for the first time in college) but I can't get enough. I've been to good and bad places, but Taste of India's lunch buffet does not disappoint! When we arrived our waiter allowed us to peruse the buffet before being seated which I thought was nice. I must admit that I was not blown away by the size of the buffet but I thought I'd give it a shot since I was new to the area. I'm glad I did. The buffet didn't look like much but the food was great! The offerings were smaller batches of food, but it was obvious that everything was made with care. All of the food was hot as well, which is less than I can say for larger buffets. We were served hot, buttery naan throughout our meal and our waiter was very friendly. Taste of India is a gem.

I grew up around great Indian food and was skeptical of finding a good restaurant in Montgomery. However, I am really pleased with this find. I have had the opportunity to sample both the lunch buffet and the dinner menu. Buffet: Excellent variety of choices. A lot of times Indian buffets seem to run the risk of all of the dishes tasting the same, but I was really pleased by the diversity of flavors present, as well as the selection of chutneys, desserts, etc that were also available. All of the curries are quite mild, but this is to be expected with a buffet. Dinner: While the buffet was great for variety, I felt that the "to order" menu is where this restaurant really shines. The range of hotness for the dishes was great and the diversity and intensity of the flavors were fantastic. Tried 3 different dishes and each one was delicious and very fresh. Service was quiet, but attentive. Would go again.

Food is good. Even with the new owner but he started to lie to me infront of my face. Soft drinks are 1 each. Everyday. With winn dixie coupon(which he claimed it was a gift certificate) we were suppose to get 4 off lunch buffet. He starts tapping away at the calculator and I'm thinking to myself what could be so complicated...he charged us 1.99for drinks even though it says one dollar everyday, he kept saying it was the special. Previous owners were much nicer.this new guy is a complete ass

Yay! Once again, we have Indian food here in Montgomery. I was so excited to discover that a new Indian restaurant opened up after the only two in the area had closed. My husband and I went by today for lunch. They only offer buffet for lunch, which is a bit pricey ($10.99 on weekends) but the upside is that we got to try a few of different dishes. All the entrees were delicious, my favorites were the Vegetable Korma, Chicken Tikki Masala, and Palak Paneer. The naan was good but not the best I've had. We would definitely have to go back for dinner. I noticed they also offer Indo Chinese and Southern Indian dishes, like Dosa.

Stopped by on a weekday for the buffet. Great selection, at least 12 entrees (two rices, chicken tikka, chicken tandoori, dals, aloo ghobi, lamb, and more). Separate buffet table to serve yourself raita, several pickles, relishes. For desert two choices mango and a rice pudding. Along with the meal you get served naan bread. Hard to beat this selection. It is as delicious as single prepared meals at most Indian restaurants. About $11 including tea.

The negative reviews on here are just people who must not be used to Indian style. The people do come off a little harsh, well the women...but we had great service. The Naan was fab, I was sorta talked into try the Tikka Masal and it was actually pretty good. I'm usually a curry fan. They were very nice to my 3 and 4 year old. Gave them candy hearts and chatted with them. Very sweet. It's about 40 dollars for three meals. Not to bad and again it was really yummy.

After trying the Saturday lunch buffet, we went back for dinner service and ordered off the menu. It was great. I had the lamb rogan josh spicy, which made me sweat -- but, oh, it was a great burn. Not just heat, but a great variety of spices. My wife had the chicken biryani with medium spice, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We have been back a couple times since and continue to be pleased with the menu service. Definitely recommended.

Decent food at the only Indian restaurant in town. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. The lunch buffet has a pretty limited range and is pretty mild - could easily be a bit spicier without offending the lunch-goers with more sensitivity for spice. But for Indian cuisine, it seemed a little bland. The naan is very good, though. Will try them again when I have time to order off the menu.

Absolutely horrendous. This was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had, for many reasons including the rude, bitchy server whose mother never gave him a name (his excuse for refusing to share his name with us), the awkward employee who looked like he was going to pull out a gun and shoot up the entire restaurant, another employee who gave us "the hand" in response to our questions about the menu, and finally, the disappointing quality of the food (which, oddly enough, was among the least of our concerns). We were a party of four, and got a relatively small plate of rice to share when our entrees started to arrive. Beginning to serve ourselves and seeing that the rice was clearly not going to go as far as we needed, we asked for another plate of it. The bitchy nameless guy leaned over our table to look at our plates and snapped "you eat that, and I will bring more out, then." There was a situation with the naan--we asked the woman taking our orders (who, for some reason, was really impatient with us and stared angrily) how many pieces of naan makes one order. She clarified that two naan(s?) is one order. Understanding this, our table asked for two orders of naan. When the naan came out, we were expecting to see four naan, but instead we received two naans cut in half. We politely asked our server about it, because we thought only one order had come out, and he immediately got snarky and told us that he "knows for a fact there are two orders of naan there, because he put them there with his own hands". We explained that we were just trying to understand how many come in one order to make sure we got what we were supposed to. He began explaining what a circle looks like, and what a pie looks like, and then what a pie looks like after you cut it. After a while of being talked to like we were a group of preschoolers, we finally managed to get him to clarify that one naan cut in two pieces constitutes one order. His answer was contrary to what the woman who took the order told us, but we assured him that it was fine, and that we only wanted to make sure we received what we had ordered. The paneer felt like it came straight from a plastic bag labeled "provolone cheese product". The chai was served out of tiny Styrofoam cups due to an "incident" in the kitchen, according to the owner. The server pouring the tea (who was standing next to the owner at the time) made an unmistakable "WTF" face to us after hearing his explanation. What were we supposed to make of that? We were charged almost $7 for those two, four-ounce servings of tea in Styrofoam cups. As bad as the service, food and drinks were, though, none of us felt comfortable raising a complaint to any member of that staff. That's a shamefully unhealthy atmosphere for any business to foster. The whole thing was absolutely weird and uncomfortable, like a really bad movie. The experience was intensely negative, and the energy among the staff was angry and unwell. We were a very understanding, attentive, and polite group. Our server(s) (and any other person working there) had no reason to treat us with the contempt and disrespect that seemed to be shared among the staff that night. I wanted to get out as soon as possible, and I won't be going anywhere near that place again.

We really enjoyed our meal here. Great food and service. Everyone in our group ordered something different and each of us left very full and happy. The decor isn't anything special but it's clean, prices fair and the menu is extensive. So happy we found it, we'll definitely be back.
