Shortest review ever. The best hamburger. The only problem I have is their short hours. Boo on the hours. All in all these hamburgers are a must to try!

I had heard years of hype about Hamburger King before finally making my first visit. As usual with most things, the hype might have been a little unjustified. That's not to say that Hamburger King doesn't make a good burger, however, I wasn't left with the feeling that I had to come back any time soon. Burger, chips, drink. That's it, and its just kind of OK. The lawyers, politicians, and government workers all seem to love it, though. Oh, and maybe this has changed since my last visit, but they only accept cash. An ATM is located inside, though.

Best Damn Burger anywhere! For a little over $5, you get a big burger, chips and soda in a can. Perfect brown bag lunch. Hamburger is good as you can savor the flavor hours after you eat it. (they only serve Hamburgers and Deep fried Hot Dogs) Serves breakfast and lunch sandwiches during the week. Closed on weekends. Limited seating. At lunch, forget sitting down. Call ahead for an order to go to avoid a lengthy wait in line.

Amazing burgers! Just had my first burger from Hamburger King yesterday and I was not disappointed. Place your order ahead of time over the phone if you don't want to wait, the place is packed during lunch.

I'm a fan of this place not because of the food, but because it is a local establishment and the owner was such a doll! I wasted no time and as soon as I got off the plane, I headed to "Hamburger King." This was another one of those spots where I sat in my car for a while, unsure of whether I should get out or not. It looks run down and there are bars on the window. Then an elderly couple pulled up beside me so I assumed I'd be alright! When I got inside my worries disappeared. t was bright inside and crowded. There was a bar littered with old men drinking sweet tea and eating burgers. Clusters of old women catching up on town news. I watched everyone for a minute and then put in my order. I met owner Gay Harrison (in the pink) and her son Hunter. The burger joint was opened in the '70s by her husband Pat, who is now deceased. Gay said they make about 200 hamburgers a day, depending mostly on the time of the month and whether people got paychecks or not! What sets them a part? They are made with fresh ingredients. The wait was long but well worth it. I have no idea how Gay kept track of the orders so well, as they just kept streaming in. They even had a window on the side where people would walk up to. People called in orders. Inside, we waited in line in the tiny restaurant. All walks of like came in, black, white, suits, casual dress, old, young. Gay wrote each order on a white paper bag and lined them up in a row. The burger was a good burger. It's not a fast-food flat burger and it's not restaurant burger, it's like a concession stand but tastier kind of burger? Montgomery folks say it's the best burger in town. When I ordered it, Gay asked me how I wanted it. Her suggestion? Everything, which is her favorite. If I have it again, I'll probably opt for less condiments.

Probably one of (if not THE) best hamburgers in Montgomery. Hole in the wall burger joint that is awesome! Cash only, but they do have an ATM machine inside. Get cash and try it. It's worth it!

A great little hidden gem. Great value and friendly staff. Cash only and no coffee were the only things that we didn't like. Great breakfast sandwiches. We didn't try the burgers but hope to next time we're in town. We had a 19 mo old with us and there were no high hairs, so if you're traveling with small ones, just be prepared to eat with one hand. Definitely worth it though.

The best hamburger in Montgomery doesn't seem to be a title for which many are grabbing, and when it comes to burger dives, Hamburger King is the way to go. A griddled burger that's more concerned with size than any measure of doneness beyond "well", the condiments are heavy, sloppy, and overall result in a burger that's juicy, substantial, and well worth the few bucks it cost you to buy it. It might be nice if they served fries, or if the wait wasn't so bad during lunch, but you can't always get what you want. Hamburger King is the king of Montgomery burgers because they do one thing, they do it well, and we should respect them for it.

Awesome burger joint. It's cash-only so come prepared... or use the oldest operating ATM machine to date. The burgers are juicy and flavorful. While ordering I wished I could have had fries, but turns out the burger filled me up just fine! Amazing find.

Was I terrified to walk up to a building with bars on every window and consider sitting in there to eat? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes! The burgers were fresh, the service was fast and friendly. This is a very simple joint, and cash only. You pick cheeseburger or hamburger, and regular or deluxe (deluxe is just bigger). Everything on it consists of onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, and mustard. They also have hot dogs, chips, and cans of soda. The regular burger was pretty big, probably 1/3 lb? It was good and juicy. I am not sure if that had to do with all of my condiments dripping off of it or not! Ha, ha! The boyfriend's burger was not as drippy as mine, so the chef must have gotten a little heavy-handed when he poured on my condiments. The burgers themselves were enough to satisfy us, no side item needed.

Have been a loyal Hamburger King customer for 30 years. By far the best hamburger anywhere! Hamburgers are fresh never frozen then made to order. Yes you have to wait for your order and yes it is always crowded. Perfection takes time. This is a family run business not a chain like all the other run of the mill burger joints. No you can't get all your designer toppings With sushi on the side but you get what you came for a great burger at a great price. We have moved away from the area and make it a point to always visit Gay and Hunter when in town. Never disappointed! Love to try it if there is a better burger anywhere. I have tried many and haven't found any better.

Easily, the best burgers in the River Region! Sure the place is a dive, but they don't make just great burgers. They make the best breakfast sandwiches too. Their bolage, egg and cheese and ham, egg and cheese are simply the best you can get. The is a family establishment that has been around since the 70s and there is a reason.

Heard about this place my whole life but always scared I would get jumped. I would come back as long as I got jumped on the way out. Good burgers, messy with lots of condiments. Chips only not fries and canned drinks.

Burgers are cooked to order so be ready to wait, but did notice several people came in that had called an order in for pick up which makes a quick lunch more realistic. Burgers are better than any chain reasturant, but not the best I have had.

Best (and sloppiest) cheese burger I have ever had! The place is small and was super crowded during lunch. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. The wait was well worth it!

AWESOME old fashioned burger. Do not expect any fluff or sides other that chips. But, come for the burgers they are the best!
