Well, we have finally had an unsatisfactory experience. My daughter ordered a hot and sour soup but received an egg drop soup. This may sound trivial, but instead of giving her a new bowl of soup, they dumped the egg drop and served hot and sour soup in the same bowl. The egg drop soup was visible on the side of the bowl. The food was pretty good, but definitely not the best. My favorite is always General Tso's Chicken. This one left a lot to be desired. The sauce was way too runny & the chicken was not quite spicy enough. On top of that, we had employee's children sitting behind us kicking our chair. Not quite the experience we were looking for.

It's a blessing and a curse living so close to this place, because it's definitely the best Chinese food in Montgomery. The sesame chicken is always flawless and portions are more than generous. Pricing is awesome and service is always fast and friendly. They have been a staple here for over 10 years and I don't see them leaving any time soon.

Pretty good Chinese food! The portions are large and the price is great! The pan fried dumplings are outstanding and the food was prepared fast.

After receiving a gift certificate for East China we decided to dine in on Chinese New Year. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated and the staff was very friendly. They were constantly checking on us and filling up our water. English was not our servers first language so when I had questions about the menu she needed an owner to help. I ordered the bean curd and vegetables with no mushrooms and it came out with mushroom. Besides that mix up the food was really good. The veggies were steamed just right with a little crunch to them along with a good non-oily sauce that wasn't too sweet or salty. I look forward to coming again and trying other dishes.

#1 Chinese Restaurant in Montgomery I went with my family of four during a road trip to this quiet little Chinese place tucked into a regular plaza surrounded by a very nice community. The staff was very friendly and made it easy to order with no communication problems. I ordered a dinner combo plate with Kung Pao Chicken and Pork Fried Rice (the kung Pao was very good, while the fried rice was average). All of our food was made fresh within a few minutes. Overall, a great experience and great food coming from an avid Chinese eater.

Not as good this time around. No music. Employee or owner's kids sat behind me and kicked our seat the entire time. They brought half of our entrees out way before they brought out the other. The food tastes ok, but not worth the sloppy experience. Thankfully, I discovered Mr. Chen's.

My meal ( general tso's chicken) and my boyfriend's lo mein were perfect. THE SIDE OF WON TON SOUP WAS THE BEST PART. It was so amazing that i wanted to buy thr broth in a gallon jug ( my bf seconds said desire). The service was prompt and polite. The restaurant was super clean and adorably furnished. The booth was comfortable, the atmosphere friendly and inviting. The bathroom was incredibly clean and stocked. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food recieved. All around amazing.

Best Chinese food in Montgomery! I'm pretty picky when it comes to Chinese food. I've lived all over the country and the northeast seems to be the best. After trying East China in Montgomery, I have to say it's probably my favorite Chinese restaurant ever. The employees are nice and attentive and the food is delicious!

Just like Mel said. it's pretty good for Montgomery std. Price is def. reasonable. and their american-Chinese food was spot on for my panda-express trained palette. Had Orange Chicken and Mongolian Beef. will go back for sure!

This is somewhat Americanized Chinese food (it is in Montgomery after all, so I'm sure they've adjusted things to suit Southern tastebuds), but it's by far the best I've had in the area. They will gladly make things more authentic if you know what to ask for. Staff is nice and will remember you, even if you only come in once in a while like me. Food is done in a flash, I rarely wait longer than 10 minutes for anything, and portions are a good size.

This place is pretty good for Montgomery standards for Chinese food. Of course they have the usual standard Chinese (American) menu. However, we rarely eat anything off that menu. My in-laws know the owners, so we usually ask them about the specials, which is a bit closer to what we are use to eating at home. Occasionally they will have fresh fish, which they'll steam with ginger and scallions (just like how my mom cooks it). So yummy.

One of the area's best Chinese restaurants: East China is everything a good restaurant should be. The decor is just relaxing and perfect. The service is great, people are nice and attentive. The food may be the best Chinese offerings in Montgomery and is well worth the price. I always enjoy the meal and the experience at East China. We love this place. I don't think you can go wrong giving East China a try.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
