Go for lunch. $5.75 for an entree that comes with soup and decent portions. Can't beat that. The ambiance is nice, service is mediocre, food tastes good. They also have a Korean/Chinese menu for items such as jjajangmyun, tangsooyook, jjambbong etc. All which are also good. The ggampoongi by the way is bone in.

decor is nice. we had general tso' chicken and had pad Thai. food was so bland. no flavor at all. we also had spring rolls also had no flavor. you would be better off getting out of frozen food section. spent 40. waste of money. pad Thai noodles taste and smell like spaghetti. please spend money elsewhere.

Best lunch price, $5.30 with perfect portions. I have had their sushi which is not bad for the price. I have never gone for dinner. The resturaunt is very nice inside, I have yet to have a bad experience.

Pickup order. I ordered and paid for soup and fried rice. Got home and both were missing. Not a good experience.

I have eaten their food twice a week for the past several months. When I eat in, no problems, but ordering take out.... fail every single time. They can't seem to get my order right, even though I order the same thing. Sometimes things are missing, but every time there is a mess up with the entree.... missing chicken, wrong sauce, fried rice is not fried.... Lunch prices are definitely the best bet. If you get take out, I advise taste testing and looking at everything before you walk out.

Excellent service, good food, reasonable prices. I even found a steamed low fat, vegan dish for my quirky diet.

After discovering that the Chin Chin menu includes a vegetarian selection I wanted to check it out. One Sunday afternoon I got my chance. The décor is very nice and relaxing. We were seated right away, but realized right away that our server spoke English as a second language. Though he was nice and good about getting our tea out right away he did not understand any special requests I was asking about. I thought he understood my request for an appetizer, but what came to our table was not at all what I wanted. That was disappointing. I was excited about all the vegetarian options, but was disappointed again when the server informed me that they didn't have the main ingredient for half of the menu items. Bummer! I ended up substituting bean curd in the kug pao dish with brown rice and it was delicious! The veggie and sauce were all great! I can't wait to go back to try other dishes. It is wonderful that they have a variety of Asian cuisines to choose from. I will have to come back with some friends to share multiple dishes!

The best thing about this place is that they are the only Chinese place around here that delivers. The food is really...not great. It's bland and sometimes overcooked. The dumplings are pathetic as are the egg rolls. I thought maybe it was just the delivery, but eating inside the restaurant isn't any better. Go to East China instead. Prices are about the same but the food is leaps and bounds better than Chin Chin. Very disappointing.

Food here has always been good but pretty bad experience tonight. Used the online system to place a takeout order. My teenage daughter went to pick it up and lady at front was incredibly rude. On top of that she had to was twenty minutes for an order that was placed twenty minutes before she got there to pick it up. Don't care how good food is, won't be back after that experience. Can't tolerate rude people. And they weren't busy.

Whatever my dad ordered, they didn't have. My dad also has an annoying habit of ordering stuff that's not on the menu, as if they have all these off the menu ingredients ready and would somehow cook it just for him. My parents kept on looking longingly at a table nearby that ordered eggplants. That was the last of the eggplants for the evening, and my parents were crushed. Eggplants, that's all they wanted. We settled on kung pao chicken, vegetable beef, and mushroom shrimp. All three dishes tasted exactly the same. They asked us if we wanted spicy and we requested a tiny bit spicy. It was really really spicy. I was panting and drinking water and mixing sugar into the food. The waiter was polite and friendly. But I'd go to Hibachi over this any day.

Chin Chin once had reliably good food, those days are gone. After the last two visits where we were served old (cooked several days prior) food, we won't be going back.

Just ordered delivery, so once I go in I may rate even higher. Food was excellent and fresh! No frozen peas and carrots or canned baby corn crap in these dishes. I had the garlic chicken and it was a 5. Also ordered a dynamite roll and it was as good as it gets, large prawn tail included. Delivery driver was prompt and very polite. Great additon to a overly saturated Asian market in Montgomery. Will definitely order from again as well as eat in. Edit- Now they cut the sushi down to the basics, nothing great at all. Not sure why.

I am very disappointed with Chin Chin after giving it a try of 10 times. We order the same thing each time-tofu lettuce wraps and Singapore rice noodles. We are charged differently on different days varying from 19 to 24. My spouse wants his noodles dry and they cannot get it right. I always say no nuts since I am allergic, but was given a large amount of pine nuts tonight on my lettuce wraps. Their person at the front , Tiffany, does not care. Her attitude shows when I place an order. We would have returned the food tonight but were too tired. Chin Chin is very inconsistent and dangerous to my health.

My fiancé & I live very close & decided to give Chin Chin a try, and it was WELL WORTH IT! Chin Chin has something for everyone from Chinese, to Japanese, to Thai, and even sushi. When we try a new place we taste a little bit of everything to see if it's good, and Chin Chin definitely was! When you sit down they greet you with those fried chips and sauce & always give you fortune cookies at the end of your meal. We split a spring roll appetizer and it was beautifully presented while being very good! We also split a spicy tuna roll, which was very good and fresh! I am not a big Thai fan, but my fiancé had it one time before there and said it was the best in town. I got hibachi jumbo shrimp, which came with a salad and miso soup, and every part of the meal was very good! He had a Chinese dish of beef fried rice and it was very tasty too! In all, this place has amazing food, especially for the prices! The restaurant has a 100 rating for cleanliness and is decorated very nicely with a modern feel. Please go give this place a try & let's keep Chin Chin open for business as we need a place like this in the area!

Overall a great addition to Montgomery's east side. We've eaten here twice since it's opening and have no complaints, both "traditional" dishes and sushi have been well worth the visit.

The first thing I liked about this place was its variety. Japanese hibachi, sushi, Chinese, and Thai. I love Pad Thai and had to try it. It's the best I've had in Montgomery since I moved here. I also have tried the fried rice which is delicious. They use white rice instead of yellow rice used by some places. My fiancé tried the spicy tuna roll and the hibachi shrimp. Both were excellent. I hope more people try this place and love it because this spot in this particular shopping area has not been too kind to restaurants. I love this place and hope it is here to stay.

Chin Chin Restaurant is a great addition to the culinary scene in Montgomery. Hailing from Atlanta, where this family business is apparently popular (numerous "Best Of.." Awards hang behind the register to attest to their popularity in the Atlanta area), Chin Chin is decidedly more upscale than the other Asian Restaurants in town. The interior is very "zen" with continuous waterfalls, potted bamboo, and trendy yet understated decor. The menu is extensive and includes the typical Asian fare along with some Thai offerings and a full Sushi bar. You can enjoy Chin Chin as Dine-In, Take Out, Catering or Delivery. I've eaten here three times and all three experiences have been different. The first meal was a dinner on a very busy weekend night. I ordered Shrimp with Garlic Sauce and the won ton soup. The soup is delicious, and easily the best in town. The broth is flavorful and the won tons are delicate and delicious. No pasty won tons here! The fried noodles on the table were crispy and tasty...practically addictive! The Shrimp with garlic Sauce was outstanding. Ten JUMBO shrimp, fresh vegetables and a delicious sauce made it the best Shrimp with Garlic Sauce I've had since leaving the East Coast. The experience was a 10/10, with the service being as good as the food. I returned a few days later, this time a weekday evening. While the soup was still spot-on, and the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce was also wonderful, the service was spotty. A long wait to place an order, an impatient server, and the fact that she FORGOT to put one of the dinner orders in made for an incomplete experience. We had to remind her about the 3rd dinner, which she promptly blamed on the kitchen. My companion ended up waiting another 10 minutes for her dinner, while we ate ours. Disappointing, to say the least. My other companion ordered a Sushi Plate. While it was wonderful, and he enjoyed it very much, the server neglected to bring the salad that was suposed to precede the dinner. My third visit was at lunch. I again ordered the Shrimp with Garlic Sauce, wondering if the lunch portion differed greatly from the dinner portion. The lunch portion was more than enough, and not that much smaller than the dinner portion (although the price was more than half as much!). What did surprise me though was the quality of the ingredients used at lunch vs dinner. When I ordered this as a dinner entree, I got 10 beautiful, fresh, jumbo shrimp, fresh peppers, onions, mushrooms, celery and water chestnuts. The lunch portion was different in that the shrimp were small, at least half the size, and tasted as though they had been previously frozen. The vegetables included peppers, celery and water chestnuts, but instead of the fresh mushrooms, I got sliced zuchinni. It wasn't bad...just didn't compare to the first version. The differences could depend upon who is in the kitchen on a given day. I don't know. The service was fine, but not personalized or memorable. Chin Chin is very good. I will definitely continue to return. However, in my opinion, they need to focus on customer service and continuity in the preparation of the meals. After three visits, I think Chin Chin can be hit or miss. The good thing though, if you "hit", it's fantastic. If you "miss", Chin Chin is still probably better than any other Asian cuisine in Montgomery!

Went in and waited for 10 minutes to be seated even though there was clearly three to five open and cleaned tables. The hostess clearly did not care or was she in clothing that would say she was a hostess, black yoga pants and a leopard print tiny belly high jacket. We sat down and opened the menu looking for sushi but only found 5 or so options. We were unhappy very clearly and decided to find another place to eat. They made me pay for a soda that I didn't even drink any of. I will never be back to chin chin.

I had to hurry back to try the sushi! We got 3 rolls: bagel roll, spicy tuna & dynamite roll. ALL were fabulous!!! My man ate the bagel. I am not fancy on smoked salmon, but he said YES to the taste! We both agreed the spicy tuna was the BEST we have had in the River Region. The dynamite roll was Fab-OOO!!! Shrimp tempora, cilantro & fresh jalapenos...HELLO..YUM!!! So 3 rolls, 1 ginger salad & 1 egg drop soup $31.00...perfectly priced!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
