Everything was spectacular, as I would expect from any franchise Bonefish restaurant. I like consistency & this venue was right in line. It was super busy however, around the 6pm hour on a Wednesday. This could also be due in part to the sudden coupons Bonefish has been shelling out online recently. The lighting in the restaurant is really, really dim. So much so that I heard another customer complaining about it. Maybe it's some kind of physiological ambience, "people order more when it's dark" type of thing. Who knows. Anyway I ordered the Rockefeller Oysters, as an appetizer, and the Boat Scallops entrée. The oysters were a bit overcooked but the Scallops were delicious, albeit way overpriced for the size and quantity. The bartender (I dined at the bar) was very absent-minded and more concerned about when his shift ended, especially when a friend of his came inside the establishment. He did not receive a tip. I definitely had a great time and will continue to support the Bonefish establishments!

Dirtiest Bonefish I have ever been to. Staff was rude. Waitress left our dirty dishes on the table so long we made a game out of stacking them up at the edge of the table to see if we could get her to remove them (Not until she brought the check). Not what u expect of u hav been to other Bonefish Grills. Skip this one for sure!

Had a great weekday lunch here. I had the shrimp tacos with the house salad on the side, and my sister had a salad. Service was excellent. Last time I was at this restaurant was in 2012, and I remember enjoying the dinner experience then.

Not horrible, not great, just ok. The calamari appetizer was good, but I've definitely had better at most other restaurants. The grilled snapper entree was dry (extremely dried out and tough on the outside), and my wife's filet mignon was just ok. The crab cakes were decent, as were the sides. Overall, the food and quality were acceptable but not anything to rave about. We arrived for an early dinner this past Friday at 5 p.m., so there wasn't a crowd or wait, and the service was very good. Bonefish is a good "backup plan" restaurant but wouldn't be my first choice.

I have the scallop and shrimp with the lobster thermidor sauce. The smell of food is absolute horrible. The taste of the food is weird. My suggestion is that do not try it. However, my boyfriend gets the rainbow trout with carb fried rice. The carb fired rice is amazing.

Perhaps I expected more because of my past experiences with this chain. I have had VERY good meals at Bonefish in more than one location. This is my first experience in Montgomery, and sadly, I will not be back. My arrival was past the dinner rush, so the kitchen should not have been stressed. I don't know what was going on in the back of the house ... but the kitchen underperformed in almost every way. The first plate of Calamari that arrived was dry, tough, rubbery and should not have been served. The second try, was only slightly better than the first and I realized they had an ingredient problem. No matter, I figured the remainder of the meal would have been as good as previous experiences. Sadly, no. FIrst off, my meal arrived long before I would have been done with the calamari had it been good. Instead, I looked at the early arrival of the main course of Oscar Turbo as another sign I should skip the last half of the calamari to focus on the main course, however, this was another disappointment. The Tubo was 'Oscar' style with crab and asparagus with lemon caper sauce. The only bright spot was that the turbo was almost cooked properly; the asparagus was dull green, limp and slightly mushy. The crab seemed fake. The lemon caper sauce was not finished properly and thus broke leaving a pool of butter on the bottom of the plate. The plating, with the odd exception of the the calamari was sloppy. The green bean side was piled on the side of the fish plate while the mushroom ravioli was completely buried in a bowl under some spring veggies. Has the chain deteriorated or is the local management not up to standards? Based on Taylor N review, which I didn't read ahead of time, I would have to believe the management in this location is due for a change.

My husband and I placed an order to go. He ordered the Chilean sea bass with mango salsa. I desperately wanted the Fontina pork chop...The hostess informed me they were out. I picked the Lilly's Chicken instead. Also we ordered bang bang shrimp for my husband. I am allergic to shellfish so , I decided on the Tuna Sashimi. It has yet to disappoint, until last night. The lettuce was brown. The $28 sea bass was burned and barely even resembled a piece of fish.VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!Called them, spoke to a manager he was very understanding. He took my name and told me the next time we come in,we would have a complimentary meal.I was not looking for a free meal.It was important that the management know the issues. I have no intention of ever visiting that store again.

The staff and the manager are just awful, can't get the drinks order correct and when I order oysters on the menu I have to walk over to a staff member and order it. 10 minutes later they came back to me and say oh they were out, the manager came to our table and apologize to my female friends and kept staring at her boobs the entire time and I told the manager that I was the one that order it he never apologize to me and again he apologize to my female friend and staring at her boobs the entire time again. sorry group of people

Four of us had dinner at the Montgomery bonefish Friday night. The food was fine but the service was at best poor I ordered a wedge salad and pad Thai bowl. After a while the waiter returned and said that they were out of pad Thai (he was very nice by the way). I then ordered shrimp tacos. He returned again and said they were out of tomatoes for my salad. After a long while 3 of the dinners were brought to us. Much later the 4th arrived. When we were nearly finished the waiter came by and told us the chef was going to come talk to us about the time it took to deliver our dinner. He never did come to our table. This is the kind of service that will close a restaurant even in Montgomery Alabama.

Great food, excellent service, and a great venue - it's perfect for families, working lunches/dinners, happy hour, bar dates ...etc I love coming to this location- partially because of the food- but more so because of the service. Even on busy nights seating is never a problem, the staff is always extremely friendly, and the bartenders are consistent drinks. My fave items: ahi tuna tacos - refreshing slaw, nice spice level, and a ton of tuna, mango salsa shrimp and scallops - sweet yet savory, healthy portions, and the scallops have the perfect sear, and lastly the house salad with the salmon - the vinaigrette is sweet and acidic, the Palm tree hearts add a special zing, and the grilled salmon takes this fully loaded salad to the next level.

Not returning. Bang bang chicken was chicken drenched in mayo. No thank you. So gross. Pad Thai was too sweet and salty.

Shrimp Pad Thai. Poor taste. Poor presentation. Boring waiter. Bland. No development of flavors or color on the plate.

A disaster from start to finish. It took 20 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge our presence and 10 more minutes to get a drink, even after we'd politely asked the hostess about it and the oblivious manager had walked by us three times. They forgot the starter we ordered. They also ran out of bread so we didn't get any, and didn't get us silverware until after I'd received my (very small) salad. By the time we'd waited another 20 minutes for our entrees to come out, we were starving. The steak half of my entree was ordered rare, but came overcooked and cold; the lobster was also overcooked. There was apparently no toilet paper in the ladies' room, so my pregnant wife had to ask the hostess for it. As an apology, the manager told us they'd comp a dessert, but didn't. I would've argued, but I was just ready to leave. This was actually my third visit to this location, and the service, which was not good to begin with, has gotten worse each time. Never again.

Excellent food! Went here on a date with my husband, the atmosphere is really. The bang bang shrimp are the best! Service is great as well.

Had 1.5 hour wait on food because they had a mix up with our order, still wanted us to pay full amount for bill, service sucked and the manager did not do a good job with handling the situation

Very disappointing dinner. There weren't enough waiters I guess, my soup was cold. We waited a long time just to get water. They changed the au gratin potatoes, very yellow and cheezy more like macaroni and cheese. No bread for a long while we were told it was still baking. We have been going here for years, but not again! I think one star for Bonefish is generous.

we went to Bonefish for lunch in late afternoon. We had the lunch specials. The food was very good. The service was attentive but not obtrusive. The restaurant was relatively empty at that time, but there was adequate staff to serve everybody. It Made for a very enjoyable lunch. The only thing that stopped it from being a 5 star experience was the bar service. The bartender was no where to be found. The waitress went back several times with no avail. It took several tries and 15 minutes to get 2 glasses of house wine. When the bartender finally appeared after pouring wine,he was very casual and unconcerned. Having said that, the pluses far outweighed this minor negative. I would strongly recommend!

Consistently great with very fair prices. Bar staff is particularly terrific. We usually go for dinner once a week. Totally heart healthy meal available. I totally recommend the house salad with feta.

This has got to be my worst Bonefish experience! The service was abysmal! I sat at the bar, I had to flag down someone to order a drink. That continued the entire night. The bartender had no clue how to make a martini. He screwed up my order by NOT listening to me. Easy to say, I will not be back.

Stopped to have dinner, while driving from Atlanta to Greenville-AL. Wasted our money as the food was horrendous ......calamari (was oily and tasteless without the sauce), the Chilean Sea Bas was served half done (raw-frozen inside), fish taco was bland and the grilled Telapia (children's menu) was tasteless. We could NOT eat anything, except the bread. We dine regularly at Bone Fish Grill (Atlanta) ......was shocked with the quality of food at this joint. The chef must be an armature under training.....SHAME ON THE CHEF FOR PREPARING BELOW STANDARD FOOD!!!!! WORST DINING EXPERIENCE.

First, If you are from Maryland don't even bother. Second, waitress smells like bonefish. Third, community bread is not served with a knife so everyone uses hands to pick at it. Room temperature steak, lobster (over cooked) and potatoes. Fourth, this place is just over rated.. the bar is okay, and it looks decent inside. If you want seafood and steak check out Central in downtown Montgomery. Also, if you make lobster right, you won't need an ounce of butter to pour on it. And how many chefs does this place have.. they try to impress the customer by having food runners dress up as chefs. I saw like 10 folks dressed up like, is this ratatouille?

My husband treated me to dinner at Bonefish Grille last night. I have an allergy to milk & I must say I was hesitant to order anything off the menu. Tim, our server was wonderful and helped me navigate the menu by making clear my non-dairy options. He went the extra mile by bringing me a pesto without the parmesan for dipping. I had the salmon & my husband had the sea bass. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was memorable. Thank you Tim!

This place was a pleasant surprise. Simple but pleasing decor and plenty of mood lighting to set the tone for a classy yet comfortable dinner. Our service was outstanding from the get-go and remained that way throughout. Everything from the bang bang shrimp and Thai coconut shrimp to the bananas foster and creme brûlée was tasty. The diablo shrimp fettuccine was ok. The beer list isn't extensive, but what they do have is excellent, and the mixed drinks were well made. Some in my party of eight thought it was a little dark in the restaurant, but I thought it was very appropriate. Plus they swipe your card at the table on a mobile scanner- JUST LIKE WE UP IN EUROPE OR SOMETHIN, YA'LL! I'll be back for sure.

Very good food for a chain and with surprisingly low prices given the quality of the food. Much better than Red Lobster. Food allergy friendly and our server "Nairobi" was engaging. I would give this 3.5 stars. The blackberry sangria press was a treat.

When I got here I knew I would have to wait to get in, so that did not bother me. While my friend and I were waiting to be seated, a waiter came out and said he would give us a coke while we waited. He gave us our drinks and after sipping on them for a few minutes, he came out to tell us that he was very sorry, but he was going to have to charge us for the drinks. Now, I don't mind paying for drinks, but if they tell you that they will give them to you for free then come back later and tell you that they are going to charge you, I find that a bit rude. Well, we were finally seated and our table waiter was nice and attentive. I ordered the fish tacos and they were tasty. I didn't have a problem with the food, just the whole incident while waiting to be seated. That was the first time going to Bonefish and probably will be the last time.

Really enjoyed the appetizers, great value at generous portions. My group ordered calamari (generous portion, okay sauce), coconut shrimp (the best app, huge shrimp, they have this one down), wagyu dumpings (tasty), and perfect broccoli side (delicate sauce and not over cooked). Appealing red wine by the glass selection (St Supery Merlot and Chateau St Michelle Cab). Great service.

Took a big crew from work here to celebrate a sales milestone. I am normally not a fan of chains, but every time I go to Bonefish, I can't help but like this darn place. And they are consistent. Here is the play by play: Drinks The ladies in our group mostly had those non-martini concoctions (Apple is a fruit, a computer, or a pie, not a martini!!!) that are called martinis and they judged them to be very good. Other drinks were good with good pours. Apps Sashimi Tuna - very good, but a little over-seared Bang Bang - always a crowd fave, not mine though Calamari - Maybe the best in Montgomery Dumplings - Maybe the best on the north side of East Chase... Entree - I have a hard time not ordering the sea bass. I did it again and it was perfect again. They have done a great job on temps. Too many others over cook. Ditto on the lobster tails (we ordered a few 'table tails') - done just right. Service was good, a little slow on the start with the drinks. This place gets busy just about when the doors open and stays busy - get there early or make reservations, even for a Wednesday night.

This is an intimate/romantic restaurant. I love to come here for a good fish meal for a price I can afford. The service is great and I never have an issue with them.

This place was good fanciest place thats here in Montgomery ate the Imperial Longfin - it was good pretty heavy / creamy -ate it with mash potatoes - should of had vegetables to off set the creaminess of the fish. SERVICE was the best coworker did not like the fish that he had and the staff made sure that in anyway to make us happy and that left me with a great impression of the place.

Good, classy place for an afterwork drink or late night dinner. Fontina Chops were surprisingly delicious. It gets just 3 stars because of mediocre wine selection and it's a chain restaurant.

I have to admit I was pretty surprised by the food and service at this chain restaurant. Being it was my first time here, the waiter made some excellent recommendations. I highly recommend the bang bang shrimp. The bread comes to the table warm with an excellent pesto-like dipping oil. The entree to get is the Chilean sea bass with the pan Asian sauce. The chimichurri sauce is very good too. Our waiter was very tentative. Definitely come here again.

Even when home, we tend to avoid large chain places. Then again we know the regional chains. Since I travel a lot now, I tend to avoid the obvious chain restaurants. I had never heard of Bonefish before my first trip to Montgomery. It will be my de facto stop from now on. Dark bar area. It gets busy after 6pm and the bar area was still full when I left at 8:30. Lots of couples and smaller groups. This was my 4th time to eat at Bonefish in Montgomery. Twice this trip and twice each of the last two times. Never dissappointed. Last night, on recommendations from Lauren the waitress, I had Chilean Sea Bass with Rockefeller sauce. Perfectly cooked. The margaritas I drank were great, a bit salt heavy but easy enough to get around. Tonight, since there are not a lot of decent places in Eastchase I like, I went back. A very attentive waitress, Josie, took care of me and recommended the long fin tilapia with a crab/shrimp/saucy goodness on top. Again cooked perfectly. The cream brulee came out with a personal touch that LOL'd out loud at. Ask for Josie or Lauren and you will be taken care of well. Friendly and knowledgeable, their recommendations have been spot on. Nice job!

Decor 5/5 This Seafood Chain Restaurant is one of the hottest spot in East Chase. Decor is Upscale- Modern. Classy. perfect for date night. ( not for the first.. this place gets pack and it's very loud... sit at the bar if you want to talk.) Service. 1.5/5 Host was a joke. had to wait 20 minute for out seat. ( I had reservation ) 7pm on THURSDAY. house was packed.. and I worked as a host before SO I know it can be the problem, but the host didn't even say they are sorry for the delay. Wait Service. 2/5 Messed up our order. hard to find during the service.. only nice to our table when it was time ti re order wine, or bring us the check. the Food 2/5 Most people don't know this, but the seafood are the hardest to cook in western kitchen. it's easy to overcook and ruined the dish. which happen to my lil sister's Chillian Sea Bass. ( portion size was equal to Mcfish sandwich.. SMALL ~~! ) Do not expect anything more then TGIF quality food here. they just do that with seafood. if you are going to spend money for a nice night out. I highly suggest going some where else.

Our favorite restaurant in Montgomery to date! This place set a new standard in knowledgeable waiters, with ours being friendly, fast and a seafood expert! (Brandon?) knew the menu inside-out and made recommendations that were spot-on. The atmosphere of this franchise is superb--dimly lit and moderately noisy. We were a bit disappointed that the waitstaff said there was no wait...and there turned out to be when we got there 10 minutes later. Make a reservation! We loved everything we tried! Everyone enjoys the bang bang shrimp, the Chilean Bass is spectacular and all the sauces are tremendous. The beer selection is good, and we like the "color on your brownbag tablecloth" child friendly touch. We will be regulars at this fine place!

Not cheap, and the wait to get a seat can sometimes be long, but it's hard to find a nicer restaurant in Montgomery. Impeccably-dressed staff and a wonderful presentation. Food that actually looks like someone put thought into it. Perfect place to bring a date if you're trying to show off. :P

Too bad. This fine restaurant has went the way of many other chains in the Montgomery area. I came back to town to visit and looked forward to taking the group out to eat. Its been a while since I've been here. Small portions and poorly prepared. I had the sea bass (almost $30) and it was nasty! It tasted old and the Pan Asian sauce was a thick disgusting syrup. Service was mediocre. I noticed the place was not full like it used to be so I think this is not a one time accident. Too bad!
