I was one of those who use to sing praises for Foosackly's. That's until they opened the first Raising Canes in Mobile. I was quickly converted. Very clean joint, with cool classic pictures of old time Mobile. The chicken is lightly breaded, friend to perfection. The fries are crispy, my gripe with Foosackly. They also use Texas toast instead of regular toast, another thumbs up.It seems the city is torn over who's better. I might have to hide my face when I go to USA games.

We always stop at this Raising Cane's on road trips down I-65 South. I know Cane's has exploded in popularity over past twenty years and now they're all over the country, but for me they will always be a Baton Rouge thing. Their original Highland Road location near LSU was the hangout. Once, eight of my friends piled into my hatchback--with one in the trunk--because no one wanted to be left behind on the run to Cane's. When we reach this location we know we're almost back home. They don't have Cane's in Atlanta (I think I know why...but STILL!) so if we get to Mobile during business hours, we will be hitting the drive through. Actually, we make a quick pit stop inside for the restrooms first. They are the cleanest we've found along the way...consistently very clean and well-stocked. Nothing else in fast food nation can touch their chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas Toast and lemonade. I always order the 3 Finger Combo: Chicken fingers with Cane's sauce - I've never experienced any what-part-of-the-chicken-is-this anxiety since Cane's only uses breast meat. When I bite into a finger, I see thick strands of real chicken. The coating is crisp without being greasy and the meat is juicy. They never freeze their tenders either. And the sauce (kissing fingertips gesture) MUAH! Texas Toast - Their thick, sesame seed topped bricks are brushed with butter and sprinkled with garlic salt... MMMMM good! French Fries -- I always sub a second brick of Texas Toast for the fries. It's worth getting a second portion because the bread is so good. Lemonade - Sweet, tart and made with crunch ice...love it! I'm probably a bit biased since a trip to any Cane's is also a walk down memory lane, but it always hits the spot.

If the friendly atmosphere doesn't convince you, then the chicken will. First, let's talk customer service. The staff was friendly, cheerful, and acted like they actually valued our patronage. That's pretty uncommon nowadays. Then, while basking in the glow of our friendly encounter, we bit into the chicken. It was pretty clucking fabulous. It wasn't greasy. It wasn't heavy. It was cooked well, juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The sauce and cole slaw were good, nothing that blows you away. Overall, it's a definite try.

Chicken cooked hard as rocks and the smell of overheated oil permeated everything even in the take out bag. I couldn't eat it.

I can't believe I've been working in Mobile for a year and only today discovered Canes! The chicken is pretty much all you're going to find here. And it's great! Piping hot, juicy and moist, with a very light breading (compared to KFC, McDonalds or Burger King chicken fingers/tenders). The sauce was wonderful also, I ran out of things to dip into it... the chicken, fries, and finally texas toast all went to good use mopping the sauce up! Also, I'm a huge fan of crinkle cut fries. These were awesome. The only negative was the hand-squeezed lemonade. It's not free refill like the rest of the fountain drinks, and it's pretty bland. It's not really a tart lemonade and not really sweet either, just kindof a mundane concoction.

So this place is basically Zaxby's but not. The menu is damn near the exact same, down to the sauce, which if you are comparing it to Zax sauce is the closet thing I've found so far. The chicken fingers by themselves (sans sauce or ketchup) didn't have a lot of flavor; Zaxby's has more spices in the coating I think. I'd give it more stars IF the fries were warm and my toast wasn't soggy. Why chicken places continue to put piping hot fried food into a styrofoam container and THEN into a plastic bag, I will never know. Clearly they should be put in paper bags (which they have) so it can breatheeeee. Overall it was good but not great. I do have to say that I wish I had gotten the name of the girl working the counter so I could tell her manager what great service I received. She was awesome. Oh, and they play pretty awesome background music. I had to wait a few minutes for the fries (which were still not hot), but enjoyed my wait.

Great place to eat. The fresh made chicken fingers are amazing, the place is clean, and the staff is friendly. What else do you need from fast food?

For me it's better than the FOOSACKLYS place , rasing canes chicken stripes are much much bigger than the fake place. Plus they are much more tender here.

If you are hungry and at the Mall or in the area, eat here! Almost like a Zaxbys, the sauce is pretty close which is awesome however, they don't try to beat you in the head for a quarter. The food was good and plentiful. I preferred the box combo:)

This one of my favorite chicken finger spots. After Hurricane Katrina in River Ridge, LA, outside of New Orleans, this was one the first restaurants to open and cars were backed up down the street to get some Canes. Due to that , Raising Canes gets love from me. The Raising Canes on airport blvd is nice. Food is always fresh and hot. I really like the canes sauce. Different finger options to choose from depending on your hunger. Nice spot for lunch which is when I normally go. Service is pretty fast. I've never had problems with staff. The location of this place could have been better depending upon which way you are coming, you will have to get in the service street to get there. The good thing is that it's close to the interstate, Bel Air Mall, Best Buy, and other nice stores.

I would have given Raising Canes 5 stars were it not for the fact that I had to clean off my own table. Overall, the restaurant is nice, new, & clean. the chicken strips were piping hot and fresh

This place is a must when traveling to the south. Best chicken strips hands down, and the Cane's sauce is magical. The Mobile location is always clean with friendly staff and quick service.

Very tasty chicken tenders but expensive. They need to revise and the place will be more packed. Small menu and pricey.

I stumbled across this fast food joint in a hungry stupor after a long travel day flying into Pensacola from Seattle, with a stop in DFW, then driving the hour or so to Mobile to check into the Fairfield Inn. Man, was I hungry and I had no clue where to go so I just started driving around. Raising Cane's was the first place I saw and it had to do. I did the drive-thru so I can't vouch for the interior. I ordered the chicken sandwich combo. The sandwich was great, chicken fingers of juicy white meat perfectly breaded and fried, and a tasty sauce. The fries were disappointing, kinda leathery. Fast friendly service. This operation could probably do well in the Pacific Northwest.

With only 4 menu choices, Raising Canes keeps it simple! They stick to what they are good at..... Chicken Fingers...... and fried is your only choice. Although the chicken was juicy and delicious, they use too much breading. Other than that it was good! Make sure you order extra Cane's sauce (which is basically Zaxby's sauce in my opinion) for dipping everything in your basket.

I gave them five stars because they have the best sweet tea in all of Mobile County. The chicken tenders were great too. I dropped them on one star because the eating area was not as clean as it should have been for the crowd we had in the store. But yeah, that sweet tea is the bomb. California people don't know how to make sweet tea.
