I went here solely for tart yogurt. This place, however, is not the place to go for it. I'm still giving it 4 stars because they have a very impressive topping bar and the other flavors were great and had the perfect yogurt/soft serve consistency. The caramel flavor was awesome, as was the cheesecake. Mix those together and add some Graham cracker crumbs, and maybe even a few strawberries, and you have an amazing dessert. I was extremely disappointed in the tart though. The mix was a little thin and watery -- similar to their 8 calorie yogurt. I mentioned it to the staff (who I think were both still in high school) and they said that's how it normally is. Even after pulling a full cup out, so it wasn't just that it was melting in the spout. Bottom line is that it's fine for a self-serve yogurt place with tons of flavors and fun toppings, but if you're looking for tart, look elsewhere.

I liked their variety of yogurt flavors. Sadly, my very vanilla came out soupy. Not a fan of the way in which you scoop toppings. I've seen much more sanitary vertical dispensers at other yogurt shops and wish they'd adopt the alternative method to spoon in canister toppings. The staff were very pleasant and helpful during my recent visit...and the yogurt was tasty too. $.45/ounce (Jan, 2012) is a bit steep for Mobile.

Cold snap is awesome! The best thing about cold snap is the fresh fruit, it's freshly cut and so good! Also, the staff is always really friendly and they make a point to give really good service. They have a lot of good flavors to choose from as well. Kid love it as well as adults. They also have birthday parties there for the kiddies for really reasonable prices. I skip all the other frozen yogurt options in Mobile and head straight for this place because they are by far the cleanest and friendliest place with the freshest fruit and the best yogurt flavors! I obviously recommend anyone to come here!!

My favorite place in Mobile for yogurt. We tried the other guy, and they are ok, but I always come back to Cold Snap. Prime reason, their Cali Tart. So good! The other place has a version but it doesn't even compare to CS. It reminds me a lot of Vietnamese yogurt. And if you haven't tried Vietnamese yogurt yet, go try it! Staffs always friendly and helpful. Space is small but they have outside seating options. Plus, its much more easy to get in and out there. Do go try.

Went twice while visiting my son in Mobile and loved it! Only problem, it's a little pricey. OK on occasion, but would get very expensive on a regular basis.

This is the first place that I have found in the area that makes me think that it just might not be too bad here after all. I am a frozen yogurt addict. I eat it every single day when it is accessible. So, I was stoked to see this place as I was driving. I could not resist. When I walked in, I no longer felt like I was in the south. I felt like I could have been anywhere in the civilized United States. It was super clean, new, bright, and made me feel happy to be there. Like so many of the other frozen yogurt places nowadays, it has many different flavors to offer, and is self serve. The only other place that I've been that has had as many, or more, flavors is yogurtini in Kansas City. This place far surpasses any other frozen yogurt place that I have been too as far as toppings go. They really do have every imaginable topping. I may be boring, but the flavor that I cannot live without is the regular plain yogurt flavor. This place calls it California Tart. Most other places just call it original, or original tart. The only reason that I gave four stars and not five is because the standard that I judge all flavors against is the original flavor at pinkberry. Pinkberry has the absolute best original flavor in the entire world. The flavor here was quite good, but fell a teeny bit short. I didn't try the other flavors, but my mother did. It is funny, because earlier in the day she was saying how she just didn't like frozen yogurt. If my memory serves me right, she got a flavor called chocolate mousse. She fell in love, and said that she even prefers it to ice cream. I topped my yogurt with my good old faithful mochi, as well as a few other things. But, I usually just go with mochi, or nothing at all. The only bad thing about this place is that it is a bit of a drive for me, so I cannot indulge every single day as I would like to. This place scores one point for Alabama in my book.

This is another build your own/ pay by the weight yogurt place that has popped up in Mobile. What I like about this place is the shear amount of variety. Lots and lots to choose from. This makes it great to go with a large group (which I did once). Fruit (I got blackberries, kiwi, blueberries), nuts, candies, mochi here again!, Chocolate covered espresso beans, hot fudge etc... Check out their website. That list of toppings and flavors? its pretty much all there. The inside is small though, so when you do have a large group, there's not much space to move around in (or sit). They do have a few small tables out side (in the parking lot) though.

First time visitor yesterday and I was delighted with their choices of flavors and especially their fresh toppings. Of course the kids were filling up with gummy worms, sprinkles, and other gross things kids eat. But everyone had a great time and we all ate every drop.
