If you're looking for a quick place to grab food I would go elsewhere. I understand waiting 30-45 minutes for food but an hour and forty five in... Still no food.

We love going to the Flamingo! We are lucky enough to be a short boat ride from Southern Harbor, so we love nothing more than a great dinner and a twilight boat ride home. All of the food is good, but we especially like going on Catfish Friday. Also, try the Caribbean wings. They're excellent! Mark and his staff have worked very hard and made this one our favorite places.

Absolutely love the Flamingo! This cute Key West style restaurant at Southern Harbor is a great place to eat and enjoy time at the lake. The service is unmatched and the food is always fresh, unique and very flavorful. If you don't see what you want on the menu (which would be hard), just ask. If they have the ingredients, they will make something special for you. We especially love the bang bang shrimp and the alligator bites.

This place is great for atmosphere and the staff and owners are very nice. We tried 5 appetizers and were very disappointed in the mushrooms and conch fritters. The mushrooms were so greasy you could squeeze them and watch them drip oil. The serving was also very small for the amount of money they charge for them. The conch fritters were the same way... Extremely greasy, and thin like potato chips. Flavor was good, but they destroyed them in the fryer. They made us all queasy . However, the Dirty Shrimp was excellent! Cooked to perfection and very tasty. The Caribbean Wings were great too. The crab cake was way overpriced and burnt. They could have left the funky sauce off of it too. (or skipped the lettuce bed and dribbled it around the outside of the cake) The menu selections for dinner looked great and will definitely go back and try their entrees. They have a great specialty drink menu and ice cold beer. Overall we had a good experience.
