I consider Thai to be my favorite cuisine. This place has the most delicious, authentic thai food I've ever eaten. Hands down. Cam, the shiny headed server, is always pleasant to talk to. This is a family business and you can tell they run it with love. If you're driving down I-10 and you come across the Bayou Le Batry exit around lunch or dinner, this is the best Thai cuisine in the South and should be on anyone's bucket list.

Ok so, if your looking for a good variation of sweets and spicy Asian food , then this is the spot! I have been here numerous times and every time I have enjoyed a great meal. Tom Yum soup for you soup lovers this will make your day, specially on a cold day. If you love rice , then I suggest the fried rice combination.

Came to this hidden gem in St. Elmo on a recommendation from friends, looking for some good vegan fare. The spicy eggplant with tofu lived up to my hopes. Light brown sauce and vegetables with a light crunch. The green papaya salad to start was even better. This will be my "go to" for Thai.

I am very sorry I complimented this place and the owner. We went back there again. My husband can eat some very spicy food (VERY SPICY), so he wanted to attempt the "spicy or free" option the owner promised on our first visit there. The owner became very upset and said that my husband would also have to eat a ton of rice (he brought out two full bowls of rice) and said that he's tired of people coming in there saying they can eat spicy food when they can't, and then to add insult to injury he said that we'd be charged extra for the peppers he would have to use. REALLY?! I don't know if he was having a bad day or not, but f**k him. We're done with that place and besides, we like Three Flavors better anyway.

Amazing dining experience with authentic Thai cuisine flavor - definitely worth the drive. This restaurant is family owned and operated, and they even grow their own tri-colored Thai peppers for those who like that "holy cats" kind of heat. The level if spice is always consistent and locals consider this place a well-kept secret. Dress is casual, very casual. Wheelchair access into facility is decent (didn't see a ramp to the sidewalk of the strip mall, but was able to jump the curb), and owner was very accommodating for help to the bathroom (boxes were in the way). Ignore the nay-sayers and negative reviews...they must be desperate competitors!

This place is a hole in the wall, but it's worth the drive out to Irvington! Our food was delicious. The staff was very hospitable and we will certainly be back :)

Had the Red Curry Shrimp. Great! Asked for medium heat...and it came out perfect. Owner was awesome and super friendly from the moment we got out of our truck till we walked out the door. We'll be back. Next time with the whole family.

BEST Thai food in the Mobile area (even though it's a bit of a drive). I used to be in love with Bangkok, however over the past few years their food has plummeted in quality and consistency. I have never been to Taste of Thai and been anything but overly satisfied with every entrée ordered. My favourite is the Pad Thai and the Crab Fried Rice. The portions are huge so bring friends and/or expect to have leftovers for a week. While there, you will most certainly enjoy exceptional and friendly service. For me, the drive is always worth it.

Dear Taste of Thai, Boo. I read your crazy reviews and drove to you. The not-actually-Thai Thai food was awful, but the dirty toys in the bathroom were nice. The decor was fancy, and the lack of street lights leading us to you was charming. My Bangkok Chicken was just MSG soup. No, I do not want a box. Sincerely, Chloe

I use to make the drive from Mobile ALL the time for this place. Not anymore! Had a strange altercation with the guy owner. I came in to have lunch with my sister and the owner was giving us the cold shoulder. Since i knew he always jokes around, I asked him if everything was ok. He responsed by saying the last time I came in, I short him 10 or 15 cent and no tip when I paid in cash! Let me repeat myself, 15 cent! I never pay in cash bc I always use credit cards. That day, I thought I was doing him a favor by paying in cash bc we all know people dont claim it. I paid him what I owe for lunch that day plus the 15 cent and never came back!

Please save your money and go to Peking in Mobile. I drove 30 minutes to this place bc of other reviews and was highly disappointed. There are literally 6 tables in the restaurant with lots of clutter inside. (bags of rice in the hallway) The "Wall of Flame" looks like they posted pictures of everyone that has ever eaten there and the opposite wall has picture frames of each menu item that resembled a Chinese take out restaurant. I spent $117 on 5 dishes and they all came out within 5-10 minutes after we order which I initially was impressed. But after tasting their black pepper scallop, seafood medley, crispy porkchops, they confirmed the food WAS Chinese take out. Chicken pad thai had no chopped peanuts or lime wedges. Just plain chicken and this dark mystery sauce they used to cook everything. The only dish that tasted close to acceptable was the stir fry udon noodles. I can't believe I spent this much money and this much time to go to this restaurant. NEVER AGAIN.

This place is great. Everything is fresh made to order, no sloppy low qual buffet here. Get it as mild or hot as you want. Recommend 4 or more people so you can sample a variety of dishes. Not a real fancy dinning room but Best Thai food around.

I absolutely loved the Thai food here! Taste of Thai offers a great variety and excellent service. As someone who eats mostly vegan food, I would recommend the vegetarian fried rice without the egg.

Let me preface this by saying I'm not an expert on Thai food by any means. This was the second time ever I had ever even been to a thai restaurant. I had heard good things about this place from several people and it was the only thai restaurant anywhere in Mobile open on a Sunday... so we took the drive out to Irvington to try it. The restaurant is in a very odd location... out in the middle of nowhere in Irvington and in a strip mall. Still, the inside was nice and the young girls who worked there were friendly. The only thai food I had ever had previously was pad thai so I tried that again. It was very good, better than the time I had tried it before somewhere else. I wanted to try something new, so we ordered panang curry as well. I had NEVER had curry before but it was actually pretty good. It was rated as "mild" but I still thought it was kind of hot. Different, but good. I'd recommend ordering pad thai for someone new to thai food... it's the most popular dish and not spicy at all. It's noodles with a peanut sauce, with chicken or shrimp if wanted. Very addictive! I went with my fiance and we shared both dishes. One dish would have been plenty for both of us... the portions are huge. We had plenty leftover. The service was also very fast... maybe 5-10 minutes tops for everything. Seems like it would be a good place for lunch! Overall, I plan to go again and try other things off the menu!
