Great food! Great view! Great drink/beer selection! Great service! And great atmosphere! I think they hit the ball out of the marina on this one! We will absolutely return!

So glad Pete decided to take this on. Sunset Pointe fills a huge hole on the eastern shore-food & drinks on the water. I'm biased because we keep our boat there, but it is a great place to go after work or w/ friends for dinner. Keep up the good work it's a goldmine

Great food, great view and great service. The chef came out and spoke to us and others, just to check on everything, despite the crowd (he didn't seem to delay anyone getting food by doing so). Anyway, Courtney was our server and she was epically helpful, insanely sweet, had perfect eyeshadow and if you get her you won't be disappointed!

Go for the grouper sandwich and if you don't like that, everything on the menu is awesome!!!! Atmosphere is great, try for outside, yacht club scenery is awesome, staff is awesome, service is awesome, get my drift, this place is awesome. Will come back again and again and again until I've tried everything on the menu and by that time menu will have changed and I'll get to keep coming back!

We drove over from Biloxi to eat here tonight and it did not disappoint. From the cleverly crafted cocktails to the tasty appetizers and main course it was well worth the trip! The crab balls and eggplant appetizer on special got us off to a great start. Followed by mussels and snapper which we washed down with a flight of local beers. The service was great and getting to sit outside while the sun set was the perfect way to end our trip to the gulf coast. I loved toasting the sunset along with the rest of the diners. Great atmosphere and great food. Not to be missed. Oh and don't forget dessert. We had bread pudding w/fresh berries and whipped cream and a key lime pie in a cup (forgot the official name but worth trying). We will be back!!

Very good on all phases. Food is outstanding, beer is cold and a nice selection, and main lady says the fruity drinks are very good. Great view and overall atmosphere. This is a must try if you are in fairhope.

Great outside atmosphere....we took several friends there because of the view overlooking the bay. We sat by the firepit, and the waitress told us that the manager didn't like to serve drinks or food outside, but that she would take our orders anyway. That was our first clue that management is an issue at this place. We had our kids with us and they were sitting down by the firepit enjoying their Shirley Temples. Our youngest is 3 and she was making a pile with the white gravel next to the pit and the manager comes up and tells us to please stop. He was quite rude about it in the way that he said it and he just spun around and walked off in a huff. The waitress came out and apologized, and she was genuinely embarrassed. She even said that she would take our orders for appetizers despite the managers disapproval. We ordered the crab balls....they were okay. Really, not very special. Inside we ordered our entrees. I had the grouper. Unspectacular. All in all, a great view spoiled by bad management. Oh well.

What a wonderful hidden spot Sunset is! Delicious food, beautiful location with outdoor seating and good service. The food was so fresh and they put a delicious twist on seafood. Especially tasty was the cool cucumber cocktail, mussels, grouper throats and the key lime custard is a must.

Dined this early evening and was so very, very pleased! Excellent service, breathtaking view and unbelievable food! We had a special - grilled snapper with sautéed kale and couscous, and added a side of grilled slaw. All was absolutely amazing! Fantastic beer selection - including our favorite from back home: Back Forty! Also LOVED the seafood lettuce wraps. If I ever make it back again I'll get two orders (2 wraps per order) and call it a meal! Everything was super affordable too!

My wife and I had a fantastic Valentine's meal. We both ate one of the evening specials, Swordfish. The fish was delicious and the sides of kale and cous cous were equally outstanding. To make the evening perfect we were entertained by two dolphins playing in harbor. We can't wait to go back and try some other dishes.

The service at Sunset Pointe was very good. We were able to get a nice table with a view. Our server was very attentive and delicious food arrived quickly. The decor is adorable. I would go here again.

Never thought we would need another reason to visit Fairhope, but we have one now! What a terrific place! Great location, great service, great food, what else needs to be said?

Seriously amazing meals for our entire party of 5. No MSG!! Unique upscale creations of Gulf Coast favorites. Chef Pete personally described his food as clean and local. But what else would you expect from famous Chef Pete Blohme, who also owns Panini Pete's (two locations: Fairhope and Mobile - yelp.com/biz/panini-pete… ). The newly renovated former Fly Creek Cafe is extraordinarily decorated with many locally photographed sunset images and local driftwood pieces. You can eat inside with the art and a view of Fly Creek through the glass windows or outside in the open air or under a covered/ heated tent. The view of Fly Creek and The Fairhope Yacht club... with boats in the harbor make for an enchanting romantic scene. Instant paradise sets the stage for complete relaxation. Arrive for the sunset and get a show that only Fly Creek/ Mobile Bay can offer. Saving the best part of the review for last: Our Meal. We shared all plates. My husband got the special grilled Mahi Mahi on a bed of local Baldwin County kale and trout beans, worthy of the title "special". His sister got the shrimp which swam in a sauce so amazing that with full bellies we requested extra French bread slices to sop up the liquid that would have been sinful to leave behind. The snapper throat was an amazing treat cooked to perfection also on a bed of locally farmed kale. I went for a lighter meal and had two apps - the seafood nachos and the seafood lettuce wraps. Both served cold and decorated with their own unique sauces. I was more than happy with the great upscale sushi-ish dishes for both their flavor and portions. For desert plan on sharing the key lime custard. Crusted on top, tart with rind bits, rich and a perfect way to end a perfect meal. Of course next time I want to try the bread pudding! Truly thought about extending our journey back home by a few hours to come for lunch the next day- but alas no lunch yet, but I hear it is in the works. *** Did I mention that our waiter looked like a youthful version of Leonardo Di Caprio and that Chef Pete, himself helped serve us and spent time chatting with us? Love the personal enthusiasm!

The location and the decor made for a great environment, but the food just didn't stand up. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but, regardless, we weren't very impressed.

The atmosphere, the uniqueness of the food and drinks, the prices. I cannot commend them enough. Sunset Pointe is the first place that I bring friends and family when they come to visit beautiful Fairhope.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! This is our new favorite spot. If you enjoy delicious, chef inspired meals this is the place for you. I would say that this is more trendy and fabulous type food. The outdoor seating is beautiful and over looks Mobile Bay. I could eat here all the time!!

Appetizer BBQ SHRIMP. I have been making BBQ SHRIMP 25 years and try it everywhere I go including all New Orleans venues. This is premier stuff. 15 on a scale of 10.

I'm hesitant to review because I wish this could stay a locals' secret, but I guess the word is already out. This is the best dinner spot in Fairhope!

Awesome in every way. The best bouillibase I've tasted. The service, friendliness of the staff and the food will hopefully keep this going for a long time.

So glad I was in town for Christmas and got to try Pete's new restaurant; it was amazing! Our table of 9 tried a wide selection off the menu and enjoyed everything. Apps: Seafood lettuce wraps, tuna nachos, and crab balls (all were great, I preferred the 1st two) I had the fish n chips (fish for the night was flounder), perfectly fried with a delicious aioli dipping sauce, great sides of grilled slaw and sweet potatoe chips. My wife had the grilled snapper throats (actually grouper throats tonight), perfectly seasoned, with sautéed local kale and trout beans. My kids got the kids fried shrimp with sweet potatoe chips and fruit cup. This has real hand breaded gulf shrimp, not foreign popcorn shrimp like most restaurants serve kids. Everything is very fresh and made for your plate! Finally we ended the meal by trying the bread pudding and lime custard. Both were good, but I'd definitely order the lime custard again! The remodel of this place looks great and has wonderful harbor views and comfortable outdoor seating around nice fire pits. Can't wait to be back in Fairhope for my next meal here!

Loved it all. We'll definitely be back here. Both the food and service were first rate. Don't miss out on the bread pudding!

My wife and I found this restaurant completely by accident. It is located on Mobile Bay in Fairhope. There is dockage for boats for dining! The building it self looks like many Fairhope houses, board and baton siding and wood shutters. Located just outside fly creek marina it has a great water view and lots of outside seating for waiting and dining. The drink menu and bar are well stocked and ready to set you up if you have to wait for a table. The menu is not extensive but I have to say there is nothing on it that I would not want to try! Our waitress Grace was phenomenal. She took our drink order and told us about the specials. We ordered two appetizers , as this was our first time there. The south Mediterranean tuna crudo is my new favorite food! It is a must try! My wife ordered the eastern shore bouillabaisse and it is out of this world. Our main courses were the fried grouper sandwich and the snapper special. Both were a huge hit. Fresh ,well cooked and very tasty! We tried the blueberry bread pudding for desert and it as well was a home run! Overall this place is a 5 star experience in my book. From the decor to the waitstaff to the food this place is a must visit!!!

We loved the location, sunset views and the food was excellent. We ordered the Grouper Bights and Crab-Meat-Balls to start. They were fantastic! The fresh pineapple salsa really complemented the flavor of the grilled swordfish. I had a wonderful evening with one of my best friends!

Went to Sunset for my birthday. Service was excellent, the food was great and I loved the bread pudding. One of the best things, the view. We sat out back and it was just beautiful. Try the crab balls, grouper sandwich with bacon and cheese and the bread pudding!!! Definitely will be back!!!

Amazing!! The food was delicious, the staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful. We dined outside and got there there just as the sun went down, the view was beautiful. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely Fantastic!!! Great family place and great service. Food options were plentiful and obviously fresh. Wish they had crab claws, but the grouper "bights" did not let us down. I would definitely recommend sitting outside closer to 7pm for sunset. It was rather hot in direct sunlight at a few tables before outside. They do their best with fans and misters. It has a LULU's feel to it. Great scenery as well. Food was quick and delicious and service was spectacular.

We enjoyed casual marina-side dining at Sunset Pointe. Even with an afternoon storm and oppressive heat and humidity, we had a very pleasant meal outside on the covered patio. Food was a pretty solid implementation of basic waterfront seafood. My fish and chips was just fine, and I really loved the refreshing coleslaw. There were a few interesting beers on tap along with a solid wine list. We also witnessed a sunset during our meal. Unfortunately, the actual sunset was hidden behind some trees when we dined, but the area was bathed in lovely hues of orange and lavender. Overall, this was an enjoyable meal and a worthy stop in Fairhope.

Took the very good advice from the very friendly waiter and tried the tilefish from the Gulf of Mexico... Had a texture of lobster meat but softer! It was very good. If you like sea bass or cod you will like this fish. Everyone is very friendly here, even the customers!!

My husband and I decided to celebrate the first night of our mini-vacation here and we made an excellent choice! We asked to sit outside (to watch the sunset) and were pleasantly surprised by the fans and cool monsters - this hot July evening actually felt breezy and cooler-than-average. We started our meal with cocktails. I had the pineapple monitor and my husband, being a historian, got "the historian" (seriously). It was super yummy - a blueberry jalapeño margarita. For dinner I had the mussels Bouillabaisse and it was creamy and delicious! My husband had the pimento cheese bacon burger and HOLY COW - that was incredible! This is definitely somewhere you should try if you're in the area. 5 STARS and not too expensive either!

My husband and I happened upon Sunset Pointe purely by accident several weeks ago and it has quickly become a weekly (if not more) occurs for us. We are delighted with the fresh, simple, yet scrumptious food. The staff is as charming as the food. Fresh, delightful, fun...refined without being pretentious. Lois is a gem, Grace is just sweet as pie! You will not be disappointed!

Very polite staff. The food was delicious and the presentation was superb. Chuck, a local, recommended a seafood dish-he was spot on. The cucumber martini was so good I came back the next evening for a night cap.

Bouillabaisse was flat. Portion size was perfect. Cocktail too bitter for my taste but in general is an ok experience.

The grilled shrimp and sautéed kale was fantastic. Also enjoyed the local Fairhope beer. The bread pudding is also definitely worth a try. The only reason I did not give this restaurant five stars was because I was stark raving mad with hunger at the time, and their portions are fairly small. But they are delicious.

We stopped here on a whim while exploring the coast. We just stopped for drinks and appetizers but we're very happy with our food. We had the seared tuna nachos and the tuna crudo. They were both good, although a tad bit light on salt for our taste. The level of professionalism and attention to detail is evident here, which makes us want to come back for a full meal!

  • Ambrea F.

The most amazing food, even better specialty drinks, the staff was incredible (both bartenders took time to actually describe the drinks in amazing detail, it was like listening to Hemingway). The ambiance and decor really just made the experience all the better. The only downfall was the almost 2 hour wait, but clearly that means other people enjoyed the place as well!

  • Kim S.

We went here for the view, which was gorgeous, and came back a second night for the BBQ shrimp appetizer. We sat at the bar and relied on the bartenders for recommendations and they were spot on. The Cool as a Cucumber cocktail is the perfect summer drink and I had several to go with my grilled fish with pineapple and peach salsa. My husband had the red snapper throats one night and the burger with pimiento cheese in the other. Both excellent. I had the BBQ shrimp appetizer for my entree the 2nd night. Totally the right choice. The bar staff was friendly and chatty despite working hard to keep up with the orders. Loved this place!

This is a pretty good restaurant. You can get you a hamburger. You can get you a fish. You can get you a meatball. Don't nobody care. I got me some nachos with tuny fishes. They didn't cook them tuny fishes but they was still pretty good. Then I got me a snappin fish. It's like a snappin turtle but instead of a turtle it's a fish. Then i got me limekey pie in a cup. And a cokecola. It was pretty good. Better than Golden Corral.
