Ok lets just start out and say this ....i love Chinese food and most if not all of the items in my top ten are served here. I like the fact they change out some items at night for dinner not just jack up prices. I enjoy their selection of Sushi its always fresh tasting . It might seem like a cheep date but when 2 people can go and eat for 20 bucks including tip its a win in my book...go between 11am -1pm and afrer 6pm till 9 pm for maxium freshness!

Pretty typical food for a Chinese buffet. They do have a nice selection and the catfish is really good. The place is new and seemed clean enough. I guess the only complaint is that they will not keep the crab legs full and you have to wait in line if you want them.

I've been to the Chow King location in Huntsville, today was the first time I've been to the Decatur location. Pretty much standard Chinese fare, although the selection is quite extensive. Honestly though, I wasn't overwhelmed with great taste about anything I ate for lunch today. Place was super crowded also. Overall, I was not impressed. A weak 3 Star rating.

Was impressed when it first opened, but must say its having problems lately. Biggest issue is keeping food hot. I've been twice in the last several months and both times food from the "hot" bar was stone cold. I went back today, for one more (final) try - same thing. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt previously, as I had visited right as they opened for lunch - it's conceivable some items hadn't come up to full temp yet on the food bar. But this time I went on a busy Sunday, place was full of church crowd, busy, so no excuse for cold food, but it was a problem again. I'm not talking lukewarm here, I'm talking serious concern about food temp/food poisoning type of cold-ish. In fact, about an hour after lunch today I did indeed get quite ill. I won't be going back.

Was so looking forward to meeting friends at Chow King Grill and Buffet for dinner, and it was some of the worst tasting food. They had a shrimp stuffed in a mushroom and it tasted spoiled. The lo-mein was very bland. I did notice that the owner wasn't there, and the food was sub standard at best. Very unhappy. The service however was great.

Yet another in a long line of Chinese-American buffets Chow King doesn't really offer anything that hasn't been seen before. Standard selections from stir-fry to sushi are available along with items for the less adventurous such as fried shrimp and egg rolls. Despite the lack of originality the food is flavorful. The staff is friendly and quick to refile your beverage of choice. The atmosphere is typical of a modern family style eatery. Cost per guest is average for the weekday lunch with a slightly elevated price for dinner and seafood centric meals

Good place to eat. Nice Variety of foods to select from. Service is a little average but not bad. Food has good taste, even the catfish has a seasoned taste. The bar has the normal selection along with seafood, ribs, baked ham, salads, vegetables and etc. Nice atmosphere for the family.

Waited for this restaurant to have their Grand Opening and they finally did. My wife and I had waited for Decatur to have an above average Chinese restaurant, and the visit Thanksgiving weekend turned out fine. Went to dinner about 6:30 PM and the place was packed. It is a buffet with a large selection of food typical of other restaurants of this type but the selection of sushi is good as well as the grill makes for great variety. They have a good salad bar and the selection of deserts. The service was fine, but the waiter asked every few minutes if we needed anything. Better than not getting the service. Would recommend trying this restaurant as it is better than the Asian Grill Buffet, probably because of the turnover of food making it fresher. The reason it was rated a 3 was because the restrooms had problems. The toilets were plugged up and had flooded onto the floor and had pumps going. Recommend improving these facilities for the crowds of people and privacy issues in this department. Plan on trying it again soon and will raise my rating if the issues are improved.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city.
