Shockingly Amazing Food. Let me start by saying, when Wacky Shrimp first opened I thought it was going to be a tacky, yucky, cheap, fast food version of a Seafood Restaurant. I was actually slightly annoyed that there would be a place like this in a town that has more seafood options to choose from than most. We have so many different local and more notorious seafood restaurants to choose from that I thought, "why put this little fast food shack up in the middle of my town." LOL. Now that I think about it, I was rather harsh. What can I say, I love the Eastern Shore! Moving on, my friend had a Groupon Coupon to eat there and offered to buy me lunch. I figured there was no harm in trying this place out if it was going to be free. Man, let me tell you what, a moment of humility when the food came and I enjoyed devouring all my little shrimps. The prices are amazingly low for what you get and the food is delicious. The portions are huge. I eat off the kids menu and get more than my fill of food w/a drink for $5.00. Everything tastes very fresh and the fries are aaaaamazing! The staff is so friendly, I felt bad for not giving this place a chance sooner. I would say, don't let the fun name and simple appearance keep you from trying out this great establishment. I will say, I haven't had anything from the drive thru yet. I like to go and sit outside at the high top tables and let my kids play foozball.

While attempting to eat at the "FAMOUS" (as seen on tv) eatery in Fairhope we were discouraged with the staff and their overall lack of ANYTHING resembling customer service. Being tough on food joints recommended by the big GUY, we chose to simply leave and not look back. So we left Fairhope and headed for home (what a waste of 1 .5 hours drive and gas!!!!) BUT WAIT...as we approached I-10, we all said, DAMN we're hungry! As luck would have it, RIGHT THERE at that VERY MOMENT we saw the WACKY SHRIMP! My brother isn't much of a fan of sea food (picky eater) he saw the sign said BURGERS too. It must have been fate as the rest of us are avid sea food fans. The stars and planets and burger and sea food Gods were all in alignment. First off, the exterior was fun looking, clean and inviting. We were excited to see the interior was equally inviting. The staff went above and beyond what anyone would ever expect. Turns out, I also wanted a burger (very rare) and the front of house communicated instantly my desire to hear it go moooooo (I went with my brother and ordered a burger...it really sounded good). Every bite of food was far better than a fast food joint, it was cooked TO ORDER and done with delicate care to ensure it was perfect. I sampled the shrimp (those that fell off the HUGE PILE stacked on the shrimp burger my GF was eating) were wonderful, lightly breaded, tender and simply wonderful. My sister-in-law couldn't stop talking about the fish plate she had. The staff was attentive, caring and we watched them offer free ice cream and cookies to the little kids. The owner (I assume she was) came out to all the tables to make sure we were being taken care of. It truly was a family joint. The prices were amazing as well. An awesome burger and some of the best fries I've had in a long time for $5.75 was totally unexpected. If you're ever on your way to somewhere else and decide sometimes GUY'S recommendations aren't all they are cracked up to be, you really should take a turn into THE WACKY SHRIMP! Take it from me, you need to take MY word for it....why?....I seriously have a bigger bite than Guy and Adam put together!

Large portions, very tasty. Grilled shrimp was very good. Other family members had the fish, it was very good, it's just a shame that they use imported fish. Didn't ask about the shrimp.

Good food. Slightly higher cost than I expected but not unreasonable. Great staff, very helpful.

I never would have stopped here without Yelp. Looks like Chuckie Cheese or Taco Bell. Best hush puppies ever. I had fish, perfectly fried, light batter, not greasy. Fries and slaw equally good, and have to echo the big portions reports. You do order at the counter, fill your own drinks (Coke, not Pepsi :( ), but they do deliver to table.

The fried oysters I had was on point. Didn't wait long in the line to get food, and got exactly what I paid for. Only thing I disliked was the coleslaw, but many restaurants aren't good at making that so I'm not sad about it. Friendly staff and great service is what made my trip great and I look forward to going again!

We have a restaurant right around the corner. We are open 6 days a week for breakfast and lunch and on Friday and Saturday nights, we are open for dinner. We provide meals around the clock for employees but on the weekend nights, we have a hankering for something else. The Wacky Shrimp fits the bill 1 out of 2 nights. Not only is their seafood good, but their burgers HIT THE SPOT! It is relatively fast (they cook to order. ) but the food and burgers are VERY tasty. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

This place is delecious. Everything is cooked hot and fresh. .. never cold. The exterior maybe a little misleading to the great food they have inside. Definitely give it a try!

Well, we drove all the way from Foley just to eat here and it was closed. Closed on Labor Day weekend?!?! In a tourist town!?!?! Crazy!!!

I was looking for something different and checked Yelp and wound up here. Nice decor inside for this local restaurant. The counter service was very friendly and helpful. The girl at the counter who took my order was an ideal employee that any owner would want greeting the public. I decided to order the seafood platter but made the mistake of getting it fried. Not their fault, it was mine in that it was too much fried food. It came out less than ten minutes later and was very good. I can tell that this is a good place to eat. Next time I will do it grilled...

For the price, the restaurant is fantastic all around. Family owned and operated, the owner was present and service was excellent throughout the visit. Two people came out twice to ask how everything was. I got the shrimp and fish and both were mouth watering. Can't go wrong. Very kid friendly and a pleasant experience.

Huge portions! That's a good thing really, though if you're not that hungry the options aren't great. Be sure to try their wacky sauce.

Delicious fried (or grilled!!!) fresh gulf seafood. The shrimp was delicious! The fish was a buttery white fish. The French fries are the perfect compliment of crunchy outside, soft fluffy inside. Even the hush puppy critic loved thier hush puppies, despite hating corn! Great place to grab a bite! But beware--- the directions from the yelp app and apple maps will bring you to a back road dump site and tell you to "prepare to walk to your destination" it's waaaayyy off! Just stick on US 98, it's right next to the chick fil a!

It's a fast food seafood place. That simple. The food was decent, about what you would expect for fast food. If you want shrimp, open the wallet wide. It was ok, nothing to rave on and on about, and nothing to give a long list of negatives about. Will we go back? Maybe, when we want fast food seafood.

This place has great food for some what of a fast food restaurant. The prices seem slightly over what you would expect until you get your meal. Huge portions, delicious food, and great people. Drive through, take out, or dine in, it's all excellent and all worth the money!

Great food. Great price. Great service. Local shrimp and bread from nearby bakery. Could it be better? I got the shrimp wrap with grilled shrimp and it was fantastic. Came with fries and a hushpuppy. I could barely finish it and I am not a light eater. Insane that it only cost 5.50! Boyfriend got the shrimp burger which is essentially a po boy on a very yummy roll. The bakery fresh bread was delightful and fried shrimp were plump and delicious. Fries were so crispy and tender on the inside. I want to know how they make them. Hushpuppies are worth paying $1 more for 4 extra because they perfect. Not dense and very flavorful. Offered roumelade, tartar, and cocktail sauce at no extra charge. Each were fantastic. Very helpful staff checked in to make sure all was well even though not full service restaurant. Everything very clean including bathrooms. Everything seemed very fresh with high turnover. BF appreciated the new wave music. I will be back soon! Boyfriend wants to come back tomorrow
