Thai Siam Menu

My friend married one of the waitresses a few years ago, so either the food was superb or the service.. or maybe both. I like Thai Siam, it's in the back of Daleville aka danger neighborhood. When you first pull into the place, initial thoughts are: When do I get shanked and do they serve Diet Coke? If you make it past the parking lot, the service is friendly and yes they serve Coke. The food is delicious. I'm not a super spicy fanatic, but a little heat is good. This place can make you go blind if you want. Usually my friends are sweating by the first couple bites. Peanut pad thai is DERICIOUS! The atmosphere is chill and quiet. Lunch can get busy. Nothing like paying for your bill and seeing your picture on the wall. Aint no school like the old school.

Outstanding! This place is a diamond in the rough that is Daleville. The pad ki Mao is great. If you're not sure what to get just ask the owner. The tofu spicy soup is soooooooooo good! Seriously I wish this place was back in the town I am stationed at and not the horrible town of Daleville. Can you tell I don't like Daleville? I hold my breath till I get inside of this super establishment.

Theb only negative I can think of about Thai Siam is that once you've tried their drunken noodle (medium spice is pretty warm), you'll have moments where it seems like no other food is acceptable in life.... I LOVE this place. The pad thai is a little sweet for my tastes though. Their lunch buffet is decent, but drunken noodle with some thai iced tea is the way to go!

This is a great place for lunch located right outside of Ft Ruckers's gate. We came in late for lunch so there was no crowd at all. The server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Red Curry. The only downside was that I asked for it hot, and it came out pretty mild. If you are looking for good food, fast..stop on by Thai Siam..No, I don't work here.

I love this place. Was the first place I was looking forward to when I came back to the area. This place is off the beaten path and please spread the word because by far it is the best Thai place around. Only negative is the food is a little pricey. I think this is because the have little business. So please spread the word.

One of my friends recommended Siam to me when we were talking about curry. Curry was awesome! If you don't like spicy food- when they ask you what heat level, say mild mild mild. Yes, make it known. I ordered mild/medium and it had a good kick. P.S. If you want a pho style noodle soup, it not on the menu and you can order it, just ask.

Went here for lunch and had L9 - the Amazing with shrimp. I had my choice of other meats, but picked the shrimp. Anyways...it was true to its name. It was amazing and extremely delicious. Peanut sauce drizzled over mixed vegetables and shrimp and a really nice serving of white rice. Definatley will be going back to try other dishes

This place is actually good. After visiting Toi'sTouch of Thai (which was about as Thai as a cup of Ramen Noodles - read my review of that place) it was perfect. The buffet is cheap and the food is good. They switch up their menu occasionally on buffet so that's great. The menu food is even better. Their chef knows real Thai food and it is obvious they take pride in their product. I've eaten here four times in a row and aside from two other restaurants its one of the only choices to eat things that aren't fried, fatty, grease-infused, z-monster inducing crap food that seem popular among those who apparently have never left Daleville or Dothan.

Don't let the outer appearance and location fool you, Thai Siam is a local favorite for a piping hot plate of pad Thai. (Along with many others!) Courteous staff and a pleasant atmosphere await you inside. I recommend you always order from the menu to get the best experience, even though they do have a lunch buffet during the week. Pad Thai, Pad Se-Ew, and Pad Kee Mow (drunken noodle) are among my favorites. Don't let that keep your from making your way around the menu visit by visit. Spice levels range from low to Thai hot. Get brave!

Very good food. Worth your time. Large parking area in strip mall. Great for RV travelers.

If I could give this place 5 for just food then so be it however I'm giving them a 2 because the owner was very rude. Seems like he had a bad day but that was no excuse for how aggravated he got when I told him I wanted to pay half of my meal with cash and the rest with my debit card. It is pretty pricey to me I mean $15.00 for a shrimp fried rice "get outta here!" ... But I must admit it was good.

Great prices, prompt service, and great food. I've had the curry and some Thai noodles. It's very flavorful but even their mild level of spice is hot for me.

Must go if you are near Ft Rucker, best place to eat if you tiered of burgers and fries.

We've been meaning to go to this place for about three years and just made our first trip about a month ago. We waited too long! The portions are huge and the food was so good. We got pad thai with tofu and duck parang curry. The curry came in a massive fish shaped bowl and was filled to the brim with duck and veggies. We had leftovers for days. Also, the service is sweet. Really helpful and aware.

Under new ownership, portions are smaller and price is the same. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and it was the size of what a normal half portion used to be. Also rather than soup, salad, and a wonton before you get your main meal, you now have to pick whether you want soup or salad. Prices haven't changed even though the portion size has.

This place has the best Thai food I've ever had! I live in NY and I've never come across thai cuisine that matches the food here. It's a small and quaint restaurant with an intimate setting with great selection choices. I've gotten the drunken noodles several times, and my boyfriend has gotten the BBQ pork and beef noodle soup, which he really liked as well. Just be careful of how spicy you want it because you'll be downing waters in no time! I'll miss this place.

Under new management? Went out for lunch today, and the waitresses were essentially discouraging customers from staying in to eat. We saw at least 5 tables of people get up and leave (our group included). Hopefully they figure it out soon-- this WAS one of the best places to eat in Daleville.

I never give out 5s. This one deserves it without question. Stopped by for lunch. Service was fast, pleasant, decor tasteful and bathrooms clean. I've had several dishes here and they are all incredible (the pad thai is only 4 star, not the best but damn good). This is the best thai I've had from New York to San Diego.

The exterior looks concerning, but all of those feelings go out the window when you walk in. I observed the owner mingling with guest and giving then hugs . That suggests to me that she remembers her customers. The food is awesome. The chicken pad Thai is delicious. I got 4 out of 5 spicy level, and it was not too bad. Next time I will go for 5. The price is very fair.

Thai Siam is Amazon for lunch. Amazing Service, food is cheap and amazing. pad Thai here is hands down the best I've had. DO NOT come here for dinner. The prices double, the service is horrendous and it's just a whole different restaurant. My parents came to town and I wanted to show them my fave place for Thai. The place was pretty empty but it was all good. We ordered two orders of Chicken Satay, it came out still raw in the middle on both orders. We caught it after one chicken piece had already been eaten. Gross. He took them back and threw them away, but could only not charge me for one because we ate one.... Excuse me? Is this reality. Don't most restaurants take it off the bill then make you a new order? Then we asked for the peanut sauce back from the satay because we'd like it on the pad Thai, and he informed us it would be two dollars for it. Then informed us the plates were washed already so we couldn't get the sauce 'back', honestly a nightmare. This young kid didn't crack a smile or anything past barely delivering the food. So, my pad Thai addiction will keep me going ere for lunch; but never ever ever dinner.

Non authentic thai cuisine, they dont even have papaya salad, spicy sauce consists of crushed red pepper (what is this, a pizza parlor), meals consist of the same vege's with meat of your choice & rice/noodles, only thing different is sauce. I guess this is Alabama Thai food....

This place gets 5 stars for a number of reasons: 1. The food is EXCELLENT! We had the Red Curry with chicken (thai spicy), Seafood Clay pot and the Thai fried rice (thai spicy) and spring rolls. The flavors were spot on the the spice was amazing. We seem to notice its hard to find that spice in American restaurants that served any time of asian cuisine. 2. At first I thought the prices were a little steep, but once out plates came out I saw how HUGE the portions were and are more than 2 portions of each. 3. It was clean and nice. Driving up it almost looks like a warehouse almost, but it was clean and the staff was very helpful and attentive. We are only here for a short time but we will be going back for more!

Really good stuff for the area. We ate there for lunch and while were were eating lunch late they still had excellent food. Try the Drunken noodles. The portions are great and they serve soup with a fried wonton (cream cheese inside).

Very respectable for a small town Thai restaurant. I had the chicken Pad Thai, medium spice. The sauce was a little heavier than normal, but still quite tasty. The thai tea made up for it, especially the free refill on that. The service was wicked fast and the ladies were pleasant. Overall definitely worth it.

  • Seana C.

Awesome takeout! We love the pad thai! If you don't like spicy, make sure you tell them that! Even when we order a low spice number, it ends up being just as spicy as any other number we've ordered! Their coconut chicken soup is awesome, as are the crab rangoons. We have never been disappointed here! Definitely a 4/5 on the Alabama scale!

Really good Thai food! We went there for lunch and the lunch special is a really good deal, with a small salad or soup, an egg roll, and the main entree for about $9. Portions are generous, so a small eater like myself can get a to go box and make two (really tasty) meals out of it. The sauces are rich and tasty, full of flavors, the meats are tender, and generously accompanied with vegetables. I asked for sticky rice, which I am a huge fan slash critique, and I was eating it on its own, savoring every bit of it! I can't wait to go back and try more items of their extensive menu.

Coming from Hawaii, I was super skeptical about the quality of Thai food to be found in Alabama. Thai Siam does not disappoint. However, that is their only redeeming feature, and one that they seem to be relying on, since the service was poor and we waited almost an hour for our food. I had lunch here yesterday and this fairly large restaurant was packed. There were at least two large groups there and nearly every other table was taken. There were three waitstaff to deal with everyone and they all seemed rushed with the lunch crowd. Basically-- hurry up, sit down, order and wait. No smiles, thank you for your business, how is your day, etc. While waiting for my food, I saw two tables grow impatient and eventually leave without getting any food at all. If you do have some time to spare and don't mind waiting for good Thai food, eat here. My lunch companion and I stuck to the basics: shrimp pad thai, chicken green curry and tofu pad prik. Everything was very flavorful and perfectly portioned. The shrimp in the pad thai was a respectable size and tofu in the pad prik was perfectly crsiped. The veggies in all dishes were delicately cut and fresh. The flavors are very well balanced and delicious. Everyone who eats there gets an appetizer plate with a small broth soup and fried cream cheese rangoon (both okay, but necessary considering the long wait). I also ordered a Thai iced tea, which is pretty standard for a Thai restaurant and yummy here as well. A tip: I think if more people ordered "family style" the service would be faster. It is an Asian restaurant for goodness sakes. Order a selection of dishes, share, and divide the costs evenly among the group. That way you can try several things, instead of just stingily hovering over your huge plate of noodles or curry. I will return here to eat simply because the food is awesome and will raise my rating if the service is better on my next visit.

I ate here for the 1st time last week. I've been craving it ever since! Started with the Crab Ragoons, not the best but I kept faith... Then we ordered different plates and ate it family style. The servings size was HUGE and I eat a lot! The Pad Thai Chicken was amazing. The 2 is just spicy enough to enjoy the heat but still taste the amazing flavor. The Yellow Curry Chicken is so tender and delicious. Cooked perfectly. We added no spice and it was so great, nice and savory with a little sweetness from the coconut milk. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Incredible food -- once I was a bit full and didn't want to take my food home with me because we were running errands. The owner insisted we take fried rice in case we weren't taking the food because we didn't like it and wouldn't tell them that we didn't like it. Well our food was tasty and the fried rice was even better!

  • Nicole S.

Pretty good! I was pleasantly surprised on how tasty the food was. They don't serve alcohol and it's not very appealing on the out or inside (reason I didn't give it 5 stars), but definitely worth going. I had the red curry an asked for it spicy- wasn't too spicy but enough to make me sweat. Check it out!

I never would have thought I would find a delicious Thai restaurant in Daleville, Alabama! The Chicken Panang is AMAZING, if I could eat it everyday I would. The Pineapple Fried Rice is also unique and delicious. The Thai tea is great too! Overall the service is great, the food is great, and the price is right.

Relative to all the restaurants in Daleville, this restaurant definitely gets 5 stars. Upon arriving here, I did notice a crop of Thai restaurants scattered around here in southern Alabama...coming straight from Hawaii as well as having been to Bangkok and have experienced some awesome Thai food straight from the source, I definitely has low expectations for a restaurant out here in the mainland in southern Alabama of all places. Also, finding the restaurant, I was getting a bit worried because the area where this restaurant is felt like the run-down area of Daleville and the plaza it was in looked extremely rusted up and abandoned. Luckily, the facade of Thai Siam was not a lazy diner facade that alot of restaurants have here and actually had a Thai style of decor. Upon entering, although it was not 5 star in appearance, it had the ambience that is fitting of an authentic style Thai restaurant and had somewhat of a dim lighting that makes dining in there somewhat attractive. I give an A for effort for ambience. In addition, I give an A for the food as well...the menu was like any typical Thai menu and wasn't surprised to see the curries ad pad thai...we were there for lunch and one reason why I am happy to be out of Hawaii and back on the mainland is that the food here is soooo cheap! Lunch was a mere $6.59 AND comes with rice and an eggroll/soup. I got the panang curry and it was quite delicious. Although the serving seemed a bit small, understandably it was fair for a lunch portion. I guess what made the food so great was that the service was extremely FAST and the food still hot. Once we ordered, another server was right there soup and several minutes later our food was there...I do have a disclaimer to this though in that we were there during the early part of lunch (around 11-1130) cause once noon rolled and more people started coming, the pace of service did slow down a bit but not to the point that we were sitting there idle. Got our checks, paid up front, and we were out of there just like that...definitely recommend this little pearl in thie middle of Daleville if you are in this area for whatever reason...definitely recommend it to Army personnel working at Fort Rucker looking for a place to hit up for lunch...great for small groups!

This is the best place to go for lunch in the Fort Rucker area. It is off the beaten path located behind the Daleville school so it doesn't get too busy like most places at lunch. The Basil fried rice with pork thats all I have to say. Go during lunch because at dinner you get the same amount of food for more money, which doesn't make sense.

This place is a real jewel in Daleville. The food is top notch and for how much you get the prices are well within normal limits. One thing I would suggest is that if you and your significant other can agree on a dish, pick it because there will be enough for two. I had the Rama Chicken at a number 5 and my wife had the Pad Thai at a number 2. I love spicy food and the 5 was perfect for me. Both of our dishes were very good and were ready just after we finished our crab rangoon. The hostesses were also very friendly and kept the water coming when the heat kicked in. Location is the only real thing that knocks this place but once you find it. You will never forget how to get back there. My wife and I will defiantly return but we might share a dish next time.

Tom Kha Gai, Larb, and Massaman Curry all dee-lish! If it weren't for the lack of a liquor license/Singha I'd almost feel like I wasn't in AL....almost.

The hours are catered towards the military crowd for lunch and dinner so I went in between this shift the first time. Went back for dinner and got some delicious Pad Thai. They have THAI TEA!!! I have waited so long for some good Thai Tea since moving here. The food we had was very good. Definitely the go-to Thai place in this area. If you've never had thai food, just go if you think you like spicy noodles.

5 star for Thai in the WIregrass. Off the main drag location and off the wall appearance in Daleville. Pleasant wait staff and owners. Go during lunch and see all the military and staff from Ft. Rucker. Unlike the Thai restaurant on the main road out of the gate in Daleville, there is no lunch buffet at the Thai Siam. But that works to your advantage - select from the lunch menu for a reasonable price and get more than you can finish. All fresh. All heat/spices are adjustable. The Naem Sod ground pork salad is only available for dinner (see my Review for Thailand Restaurant in Tampa). But it is worth the wait. Or try whole fried snapper with special basil sauce ( basil sauce option is not on menu - but ask for it). The interior is not quite as new as the Thai House on 231 in Dothan but restaurant (also 5 star) has changed a lttle since the previous manager and waiter left within the past year. ---SammyR

This is a 5-star level for Daleville; 4 star for a large city. We eat there once or twice a week, every week, for lunch. Very good curry dishes.

  • Lee B.

5 Stars on the Daleville scale. The restaurant is off the Daleville strip and pretty much off the Daleville food chart too. It's like a good restaurant was pulled-up and transported-in from another city. Why they decided to drop it behind the high school is beyond me -- are store fronts really that expensive on Daleville Ave? It was busy for lunch when we came here - so get there early unless you have time to burn.

One of my fav lunch spots. Try the honey chicken... it's actually a light creamy sweet peanut sauce and they always have very fresh vegetables. They always give you a cup of soup and a little snack to start when you eat in which is the coolest thing ever. Very fast service so you can always make the most of your lunch time.

I have gone back twice already since my first time just over a week ago. Finally a much needed filling for the Thai food void that was in my life! Today I got extra spicy green curry chicken (along with other things) and it was perfectly flavored. This is my new favorite go to place for take out!

What a place! I read the other 7 reviews and decided to take my 3 friends here. We were skeptical about the location and there was no cars outside, like reviews say, so we went in with a good feeling. Empty place, a lot of room. The ladies were extremely nice. We started off with Chai Tea and holy cow!! Great. We asked them what they recommended. I ended up getting Curry and my buddies got 3 different plates also. They loved everything and were satisfied with the portion. Not to mention, I am white, 2 buddies were black and the other was Cuban to give you an idea of the different cultures. They want to go back next week and I will be bringing more of my friends. As my first Thai restaurant, the bar is set high for the next place.

Pretty good Thai food, one of the best restaurants in the enterprise/dale ville/Dothan area. Never had anything I didn't like.

Excellent food and service! For an appetizer, I tried the Crab Rangoon, the sauce was a little spicier than I'm used to but was great none the less. I moved on to the Rama Chicken for the main dish. I've never had that dish before but I listened to another reviewer and wasn't disappointed. I asked for #3 spicy and found it to be a slight bit milder than other Thai restaurants I've been to. I also had the Thai Tea as I can't go to a Thai restaurant without getting a glass or two. It was very good and not quite as sweet as I've had in the past. Prices and portions for dinner were on par with most restaurants these days. Overall it was an excellent meal

Normally if I saw a place like this, I'd make sure my doors were locked, the windows rolled up and drive away as quickly as possible. Walking in, I was preparing myself to have to stop at a CVS for some Imodium. The inside wasn't much better than the outside. HOWEVER, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. It was lunchtime and crowded inside, but the staff was on top of it. The food was way better than I was expecting. Everything I had was good. I ripped through a plate of drunken noodles like there was no tomorrow. Couldn't get enough. I'll definitely be heading back next time I'm in the area.

Don't be fooled by the run down decor outside/inside. This is absolutely the BEST thai food that I have eaten anywhere in the US. My favorites are the curries and chicken pad thai. You can adjust the spice level to suit yourself, but their 5 star (Thai hot) has a delicious level of spiciness that is hard to find in other Thai restaurants.

The inside leaves something to be desired, but the food is great and the staff is incredibly friendly and inviting. I hear the lunchtime crowd fills this place up.

Pretty good food between drunken noodles and sticky rice with mango. Can't complain too much, however the service was a little slow. Overall good thai food and would go back.
