FANTASTIC restaurant...don't fill yourself up with gross fast food for lunch...this dine-in place is worth your lunch break. Right out the Fort Rucker Daleville gate entrance, this restaurant is pretty easy to find with its red roof, past the McDonald's next to it. Lunch menu prices were CHEAP with food costing around 6-8 bucks. Chips were warm and seemed like they were right out the oven and the salsa, although somewhat watery was actually quite good. I got the chicken enchilada and chile relleno and my plate was completely empty by the end of lunch. Good portion size and with a drink, it all costs only 10 bucks! Wish I had a margarita but sadly it's a work day...may have to come back for dinner or the weekend. Service was quick and friendly as well. Muchas gracias La Leyenda!

We went for the lunch buffet and were slightly disappointed. Not the worst experience I've ever had, but the food was average at best and we weren't impressed by the selection. Other than that it looks like your typical "average" small Mexican restaurant - quick, okay, all around average.

I truly do believe in giving everyone a chance, but do not waste your time. Bland food, overall filthy and unkept. No taste whatsoever. The salsa is the worst I have tried and the food had the flavor if cardboard. I am sure the owners are nice people but giving up quality for profit is a bad business plan.

Great food!! Prices are good and food has authentic flavor. Bar wise it is limited. As for service and employee they are rude not nice seem to have a chip on there shoulder...the 7 madrea soup is the best and great portion size for the money.

By far, the best quasi-Mexican dining I have experienced in the wiregrass. I've probably eaten here a dozen times, and I have not been disappointed yet. The fish I had last time was probably the best seafood down here too. Go on a Friday night and you will be treated to a live mariachi band. Don'T know any Latin songs to request? No problemo senor! They will be happy to entertain you with "Sweet Home Alabama", Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in The Wall" or even "Freebird". Trust me, you haven't lived until you've heard Lynyrd Skynyrd played mariachi style.

Very greasy and pretty bland tasting. If you want Mexican at lunch, I would stick with the taco truck outside of Wings.

Was suggested the Ribeye steak for their lunch special. For $8 it was Great! Plenty of food. Good service. Not a classy place but if you want a quick good lunch for not a lot of money I would hit this up without thinking twice.

Consistently good food and service. My wife and I have been here a number of times and my son ate his first bean burrito here. If you like spicy any order you get just ask for a side of their spicy sauce...pretty awesome. Will eat here again soon

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
