My wife and I have been to so many BBQ joints in Chicago where we live, and all over the South. We happened by this place, located on a country back road, and stopped in for lunch. It was among the best BBQ we have had. And, the people who run it are very nice, and the place itself was so pleasant - the screened in porch with ceiling fans was perfect. I would go back again and again except that it's 700 miles from our home !

Amazing portions! We had the Rib Plate and the meat was falling off the bones. Beans were delicious. Coleslaw and Potatoe salad should be skipped.

Well...we wanted to try this place because it was close and it had two glowing reviews. We ordered a combo of Pig wings and a slab of ribs and had some disappointment. I can only assume the ribs had been in the inside oven for quite a while...but our meat was dry and seemed to be the last portions of the day before they closed. The customer service was excellent...friendly bunch of folks that make you feel welcomed. ..but the ribs had no moisture and we used more-than usual amount of BBQ sauce to soften them up. The sauce is excellent with the right amount of heat. I would love to try Tin Top again...but flying back home soon. I want to think that we hit them on an off day. ..and that 99% of the time they are excellent...but I have no way of knowing. If you do decide to eat there...go early in the day...

Best kept secret BBQ joint in B'ham area! Ribs are AMAZING, sandwiches and sides delicious too. Banana pudding is excellent.

This is great BBQ place had the ribs smoked well and the sauce is SUPER!!!!!! If you love BBQ this is a place to try. Don't forget the banana pudding it great too. Great service, great food, a great place to eat.
