Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This is my favorite pizza place in Birmingham. I get 1/2 buffalo chicken and 1/2 bloomin shroomin pizza. I love the buffalo and my fiance loves the shroomin. We also get wings which are always delicious. This is odd, but I like to gague how we'll,something is made by how much "love" they put into food. That is, how much time the chef puts into making the food. The first time I went, I Sat at the bar and watched them cook my food. They put a ton of love into it, and really took their time. This place is a little expensive, but,so so good.

This restaurant is a wonderful addition to the Crestline Park neighborhood. Excellent service and great food.

Worse Pizza I have ever had! All 3 of us agreed that this was barely edible. We had 3 pieces left and are throwing them in the garbage. First time to eat here. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing? Ordered a 16" 1/2 all vegetables with chicken and 1/2 all meat on hand tossed crust. Should have looked closer at the menu. Main vegetable was canned large rubbery sliced mushrooms. They don't even offer broccoli as a vegetable option. They do not offer whole wheat crust. The all meat slices were horrible also. Inconsistent in taste and texture was such that it fell apart. Luckily we had a TodaySuperDeal, but even with that will never go back for pizza. On a positive note the restaurant is cute , not too loud, outdoor and indoor seating. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Guess we could go back to hang out at the bar.

The staff is super friendly. The pizza is fantastic (try the margherita-it is super thin and the basil on top is so fresh) and they have a nice wine selection. Great decor and ambience. I have been here twice since they opened and love love love! They got it right!

Great pizza! And believe me we are picky about our pizza. Built our own and all ingredients top notch. Lovely outdoor seating and inside looks comfy.

Have been here three different times and have never been disappointed. Thai pizza and Pulled Pork pizza were both outstanding. Honestly some of the best spring roll appetizers I've ever had too, very unique. Really great service and great atmosphere. At the top of my list when it comes to pizza in Bham.

The pizza is just so good. It's packed with toppings and they'll let you split a pizza in half with different flavors. We get half bloomin-shroomin and half buffalo chicken. Their wings are also really good. They flame broil them. It's also very easy to find a table during prime dining hours.

Ordered a pizza to go. Asked for a deep dish and they say they are out but can make a thin crust. I'm from Chicago and this never happens up there. I order a thin crust and I'm told it will be ready in 35 minutes. I gave them exactly 35 minutes and pick it up. It was ice cold. Over $17 for a two topping large. They were very stingy with the toppings. Hardly any sausage or mushrooms on the pizza at all. Pizza Hut has a better pizza for $10.

Customer service was horrible! Pizza was good, but took the family to watch SEC football and eat pizza. There are several TV's but I had to ask to get the tv changed to the in-state team game, which they did put the game on a 32 inch screen. They had the Oregon game on the main tv and blasting the through the speakers. I asked 2 different employees if they would switch the game to the SEC in-state game, but they said that "someone" at the bar wanted to watch the Oregon game. if you want pizza and SEC football during football season, DON'T GO HERE! Try MAFIAIZA'S!! Really Basil, know who butters your bread, I'm guessing there are less Oregon fans than UAB fans and definitely less than Alabama or Auburn fans! Serve what the majority of the customers want, not just the one person. I talked to several friends that cheer for a different team than I, and they ALL said they would have canceled their order and left. Matter of fact, I saw one family do just that.

Another fantastic two pizzas we had. Buffalo chicken is spicy ranchy good god dang it. The Greek was milder but just as flavorful. If you like Greek salad, this is mouth watering good. Tried the gluten free crust. Best gluten free I've had yet. Fo' sho'.

Sure, living 2 minutes from here doesn't hurt. Even with that said this place is top notch! Fantastic food and their grilled wings are the best I've had, seriously... My favorite part about Basil is the service. Cole and Nesha have done an incredible job staffing their restaurant with great folks! Everyone is so nice and before the door even closes behind you they're saying hello. I work in the service industry and I'm blown away by their level of service. Bottom line, I love this place!

Great food and service can't wait to return! I had the spinach and artichoke flat bread and it was so good and tangy! I have found my lunch spot!

Despite anything I write in this review, please understand I really have high hopes that this place will stick around. I think their menu, the way they present their options, and the whole package has so much potential. The service is wonderful and they were accommodating in every way. My experience at this restaurant was pleasant with one exception. This has nothing to do with the restaurant's part but someone has to really tell the gym next door to turn that music down. It was blasting through the walls so hard, I couldn't tell if the music implied that after my pizza, I should run next door to work off the calories. I ordered the Bloomin' Shroomin' specialty pizza and it was not good. Each time I ate another slice and finished it, I couldn't remember tasting anything which made me so mad because I really wanted to like this pizza. The marinara sauce I had at home had more flavor than this pizza, but it was so nice and pretty to look at. I strongly encourage anyone to give this place a try. I'm all for new businesses. Maybe I'm just an unhealthy mess who needs 18 layers of grease to enjoy pizza. Refrigerator Test: you're going to need a lot of marinara sauce for this.

Went last night. It was the same night another poster complained about SEC football and the Oregon game being on instead. First of all the in state games were horrible and against pushovers. The Oregon game was great to watch. I say this because I am an in state SEC fan as well and it is unfair to give 1 star because you can't get your way on the Tv. The Pizza was great and the service was great as well. Try the fried motz sticks! Hope this place sticks around.

Love! Love! Love!!! Super delicious pizza, awesome atmosphere, and very friendly employees. Great place to meet for dinner and drinks. The Hawaiian overload is the best Hawaiian pizza I've ever had.

Never been to Basil. Started with Carolina BarB Q wings and sweet potato fries. Great taste for both. Then ordered a large pizza 1/2 mushroom and onion and 1/2 mega veggie. Both were fantastic and we will be back. Pat and Preston
