The greasiest food I've ever had, and I don't mean that in a good way! Almost to the point of being inedible. Hush puppies and cole slaw are good... Really the only thing worth eating at this place. Service is satisfactory, but place is not very clean.

I love this place! This place is a must when I'm in town. I love their catfish, coleslaw, and hush puppies. They have done some redecorating which helps a lot with the atmosphere.

Wow, I'm the first to review this place? This place feels exactly like the name says - a cabin. Lots of chairs and tables inside the restaurant. The place is sparsely decorated, leaving lots of room for lots of people and big parties. When you first sit down, they bring out a basket of warm hush puppies. oh man, I could just eat these instead of anything on the menu. They are slightly sweet with a hint of heat. Speaking of sweet. Their sweet tea, while very good, was a bit too sweet for my tastes. So I order this mixed half and half with regular tea. They have a pretty unique menu. One of the items that I always get is their rib-eye steak with another item. You get the steak and then can choose from 18 other main items. This comes with a couple of sides too - cole slaw and your choice of another one. As you can imagine, they have lots of seafood here including frog legs! Which are quite tasty. My favorite item to get with the rib-eye is the tilapia fillet (and sometimes a whole catfish!). Their seafood sampler/platters are very good as well. They have a huge assortment of shrimp, crab, and fish on them. Better than anything you would get at Red Lobster. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone that lives in the area and has been meaning to check it out or for anyone traveling through the area. And if the parking lot is full, don't pass it by. I've never had to wait, they have plenty of seating.

I love this place! Been here several times with my in-laws. Fish is crispy, not dry. Coleslaw is rich and creamy. Great hush puppies too! Good eats for all! Ronzeno says, check it out! If you go to Alabama get to the Catfish Cabin.

The catfish was amazing. Lots of food, my eyes were bugger than my tummy. The servers seated a table that came in after U's first. Locals? I was a bit annoyed but the food was great. You can even order frog legs.

Do not go here! When you walk through the door of this disgusting establishment you are greeted by a smell that I can only compare to the smell of a nursing home. When you sit down you are handed a menu that has a few samples of the food stuck to it. Once you place your order about 20 minutes later you are brought some decent hush puppies and some not so decent coleslaw. Then if you're lucky about 30-40 minutes later you'll receive something that resembles food. It's gross. Then as you try to stomach the food while you continue to inhale that disgusting urine smell you'll have to ask your waiter for more water because she's busy talking to the other waiters. Then after you've eaten as much of that thing that resembles cat fish but tastes more like mush as you can you'll have to ask the waiter for the check because she's still busy talking. Do yourself a favor and go to Top O' the River!

Mediocre food that is just too greasy. Hush puppies were greasy and Coleslaw was not very good. I like this type of food but the kitchen needs to cut the grease to make it more palatable.

What's not to love? Greasy fried catfish, hushpuppies, fries and some great sides! The wait staff is great! Remember to tip well. They are PACKED on Sundays so get there early. Seriously. Get there early.

Fried food mecca. If you only eat the hush puppies, you'll die happy. OMG. They're gonna bring you a big heaping basket of them when you sit down. Try not to eat all of them 'cuz they'll just bring you more, and then you won't have room for your meal. They're perfectly fried with some pieces of corn, onion and green pepper mixed in the batter. Not dried out and not oily. PERFECT. If you must get an appetizer, the fried green tomatoes are a solid option. They come with a gumbo-like sauce that has crayfish in it. Necessary. Catfish and fried oysters are good. I don't like cole slaw, but I like theirs. Decently priced (about $8-$15 for an entree). This place could use a leg up on ambiance. It feels like a crappy hotel restaurant or a meat n three swarmed with old people. But I don't come for the ambiance, and you won't either.

If u get the seafood broiled it's pretty good overall but if u get it fried them get extra napkins to soak up the grease. Good burgers and hush puppies though. Good prices and decent menu selection.
