A wonderful place to stay...especially after the marathon drive from Anchorage! Room was big and cozy with nice shade trees hovering above the windows which provided nice shade to help you sleep well on the big fluffy bed during the sunlit nights. Nicely decorated with big tv and a fridge. Grounds are well kept and have wonderful views. If I ever get back this way again, this is where I will stay.

Consider this accomodation not just as a place to sleep but as a vacation destination. If you enjoy relaxing in Adirondack chairs on a well groomed lawn while viewing nature's Imax of Katchemak Bay with a magnificient mountain backdrop, Ocean House Inn will satisffy. Multiple levels of decks and two hottubs are available to guests. The service is friendly, rooms clean. Beds are fabulous: big, fluffy & comfortable. Paid $235 for a suite with two rooms, each with a king bed, and a private bath. In suite #2 the decor is a bit heavy and overdone which crowded the room--but who really cares about that with Katchemak Bay a stone throw away. It's really all about the beauty of Homer and Katchemak Bay, not indoor decoration Free wifi and a big screen TV in each room. I'll definitely be back.

A nice, clean quiet place to stay while in Homer, Alaska with a view that you can't put a price tag on. It is simply spectacular! I'd recommend the Ocean House Inn to anyone coming here.

This was a charming inn overlooking the ocean in Homer. The Ocean House inn is in a great location. We stayed in the Sea Otter room. It was nice and cozy. The room was clean, the bed was super comfortable and we had a small table, microwave, and small refrigerator. The grounds are well kept. There is access to the beach via a ladder that is firmly secured. We saw two bald eagles from the property. Food services were not offered, but the owner recommended some excellent restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!

My family and I had come to Alaska back in the Fall for a vacation and we drove to Homer from Anchorage. The owner wasn't there so the mother was the one that greeted us when we got there, and she checked us right on. She was absolutely sweet and very nice so it made the stay much more enjoyable, even refunding us when we had to buy a plunger to unclog our toilet since we couldn't get in contact with anyone until the next morning. Since we were unsure of the size of our room, she offered to switch us to a larger suite for the night if we were unhappy, but the room turned out bigger than we thought it would be so we were fine staying in there. I thought it was very cozy, and the decor was really cute! My favorite was the boat that held some bath amenities. We even had a mini fridge and coffee maker along with a small seating area by the doorway. There was one large bed with a full size bed in the entry room, which was really comfy. The location is really nice. There's a small beach that you can walk down to, and there are a few tables if you want to sit outside. They even had a hot tub and playground set for kids (which I totally played on even though I'm not a kid anymore.) Overall, it was a really great place to stay, and if I ever went back to Homer, I would definitely stay here again.
