This was the first place we ate at in Barrow and went in with low expectations. The putside looks like a run down shack, and the inside doesn't look much fancier. However, the food is absolutely delicious! I ordered yakisoba and there was a flavor explosion in my mouth! I could not believe that I had to travel to the top of the world for delicious food! Alas, here it is.

One the better restaurants in Barrow. I have gotten sushi here every time and tried almost the entire menu and no sushi has let me down yet. The staff are friendly and nice, reasonable prices for Barrow, and usually not very busy. We were the only people there on a Friday night. They also deliver. Waterfront property as well.

i like this place because not only can you get some decent sushi, but the lady will try to hook you up with her nephew. NICE eh?( this is where i wiggle my brows in a suggestive manner). the oxtail soup is delicious, the burgers are mediocre the breakfast is MEH. my scrambled egg were flat, no texture to them at all. i go for the sushi, but my friend swears by the chicken fried steak. so much so, that she will walk through the -40 with blasting arctic wind to get at them. and be sure to get there by 12 or there will be no seats for you.

I usually have several meals here just about every time I come to Barrow. The sushi is second to none and way better than any place back home. Always fresh or they won't serve it. The staff is super friendly and I haven't had anything that wasn't outstanding. There aren't too many tables so they fill up quickly around lunch and dinner time but they have extended hours and it is worth the wait. This is not only the best place in Barrow to eat but just about anywhere north of the Alaska Range.

The sushi here is as good as the Anchorage places. They also serve things like edemame. They have the American burgers and sandwiches you expect for around $10 including fries, and a great breakfast. You can't go wrong with the Bento boxes at lunch that come out in the neat little, well, Bento boxes...You get a lot to eat for about $13. The owners and servers are always nice and the place is usually packed. They deliver if you want something brought to your hotel room or house. It's a tiny place and if you go right at noon, you won't get a seat. And if it's bitter cold out, you end up hiking to Pepe's which is cavernous and always has an open table. When tourists staying at the Top of the World hotel would say they didn't want to eat at Pepe's again, I'd tell them to come here, which is right across the street from both.
