Monical’s Pizza

The pizza at Monical's is always hot and tasty, and the salads are always fresh. Their crust is thin and crispy, the toppings are of high quality, and the seasoning is spot on. If I was OK with being a big fatty I'd eat here much more often.

Awesome food! Great place for lunch. People if you are reading this go check it out. You won't regret it. Really fast and friendly staff as well.
Good Cajun, cheap price, OK ambience, clean restrooms. Opened Jan 2013. Has sister store in Champaign, Illinois. Kinda a Disney version of a Cajun restaurant. I prefer my Cajun a little raunchier served up by a rough & rowdy crew. But hey, maybe that is just me.
Food was excellent ! It was like being in the French Quarter without the beignets . The drunken chicken and gumbo are a must.

Great food at a great price. Very simple menu with quality food and friendly customer service.
Great option for Vincennes. I love the food. Very Chipotle like, and fast service. Could perhaps be cleaner, but I usually don't hang around.
Don't let the fast-food facade fool you. This place is a small miracle of great Mexican quisine. I recently moved to Vincennes from Los Angeles and, respectfully, I just haven't been blown away by the local Mexican fair. When I saw the Chava's sign while driving down Hart Street I had to give it a try. What a delight! The pork quesadilla was fresh and soooo tender! The cheese (always a giveaway) tasted wonderful, and it was completely affordable! My wife and I enjoyed it so much we couldn't stop eating. I want to start a campaign to get the word out on this place, so it will be around for a long time!

The restaurant is the best soup and sandwich place in town. Awesome food. Laid back style with attention to detail. It is a required stop every visit to Vincennes.
THE place to have lunch in Vincennes. Just make sure you get there before the rush because the seats go quickly. Fortunately the service is brisk and the food comes quickly if you're not having a hot sandwich. On my most recent visit I had the chicken and sausage gumbo and a classic chicken salad sandwich on croissant. The gumbo, while not a traditional gumbo, was a nice mix of flavors and not too salty. It stands very well on its own. The chicken salad also was excellent and the croissant super fresh. I would actually recommend the california chicken salad which I had on a previous visit. It is chunkier and adds raisins and cashews. They have many other sandwiches on their menu and a dazzling array of pies and pastries. Prices are reasonable for home made goodness. You will not go wrong here.
This a great place to meet a friend for lunch! Great sandwiches and soups but the desserts are simply amazing! Nice atmosphere Fast friendly service

Best hidden gem Vincennes Indiana has. This is hands down one of the best places to go if you're looking for a mom and pop diner. The beef Manhattan is always on point. You also must try a slice of their freshly made pies. Everyday they have different lunch specials anywhere from meatloaf with mashed potatoes and corn or green beans to chopped steak with a broccoli salad or coleslaw. It never disappoints and you always leave feeling like walking out of grandma's house. The owners are the most friendly folks I've ever met. The also offer the classic biscuits and gravy for breakfast as well as other hearty items such as ham, eggs, hash browns, French toast just to name a few. They also have a steak many on Friday night's. I have yet to try their steak menu but will definitely update when I try it.
I love this little place! I've been here for breakfast with my dad a couple of times and it's so cute. If you're visiting Vincennes to check out the history, come here! The breakfast was decent, I'd like to go and give it another try but it was definitely better than a lot of places in town! Can't wait to try it again.
Enjoyed a delicious homemade goulash at the diner today! Awesome leave satisfied! A must have local gym.

I personally didn't like it. Ok, ok, so call me lame, but when I go to Mexican restaurants I only order cheese quesadillas. If I'm going to eat taco meat, I'm going to make it. Plus grilled cheese is my 2nd favorite food and it's just a Mexican version. ANYWAYS, the quesadillas weren't very good but the cheese dip for the chips was really good! It was a cool atmosphere also. Something I heard was that they reserve leftover food off of other peoples' plates. I heard they were going to be shut down from it, but haven't been yet so who knows.
Much more expensive than other Mexican Resturant alternatives available in Vincennes and not as much bang for your buck either. However there are no issues with language barriers and the entire experience is much more refined and streamlined. Food is excellent, but you will pay for it. Don't expect to save money buy ordering water either as it costs about as much as the soft drinks. Overall a great Resturant, but the prices make it hard to justify for much other than business, or to impress a date. Four stars for great food and dining experience, losses one star on account of being pricey.
Really impressive for landlocked, indeed! If you are stuck making a trip between Indianapolis and/or Terre Haute and Evansville, I highly recommend this warm friendly environment and their tacos and awesome salsa!

Dragon 2000 or "D2K" is not fancy, but it has a decent selection of buffet items that are kept pretty fresh. The biggest reason to go is to get the stir-fry, which is some of the best I've had. You put together the ingredients any way you like, and they fry it up fresh for you on an open grill. Excellent. My wife and I have been frequenting this restaurant for 4 years and have rarely been dissatisfied. Recommended.

I'm sure I'll be incurring the wrath of essentially every Vincennes resident (both living there or those who have moved out), but I have to just come out and say it: this pizza's overrated because of nostalgia, rather than the merits of the actual product. The supreme style pizza or "Farouk" is one of the favorites and what I usually get on a trip through Vincennes. The pizza itself is undercooked and it could definitely use more sauce (though not this excessively saccharine sweet stuff they're using). They don't skimp on the sausage (which is always a plus), but oftentimes ingredients slip off the pizza when you're handling it, which is where cooking a bit longer would help to keep them on. Here is a place though, where the sides (namely the breadsticks) outshine the actual pizza. Those breadsticks are bready, salty goodness and taste even better when dipped in either the cheese or marinara sauce. The actual space is very tavern-like which certainly isn't a bad thing: reminiscent of a time long past. This will likely be a blasphemous opinion, but after a few visits stopping by to visit old buddies coming from the South going back to Chicago--it's becoming an undeniable fact for me.
6th street best bobe's the pizza is so good. breadstick with spicy nacho cheese are homemade. if in vincennes it's a must stop!
We stopped here on a rainy Saturday night around 8 pm. It looked like we had just missed the rush. The service was good, the pizza was good (we got the Farouk, which everyone says is their special), the breadsticks were great. I've heard the Main Street location is better, so we will try that one next time we are in town, but this location was fine. I'd come back just for the breadsticks with nacho cheese.

The grilled salmon salad with salsa is a fine dish. No need to order any dressing. Beautiful restaurant.
Sigh.. DON'T GET THE RIBEYE!! OVER HALF OF IT WAS FAT & GRIZZLE. And, the side of mushrooms and onions was not $3.00 worth. .. my husband had an awesome filet mignon. Side of broccoli was seasoned with a touch of garlic ..very nice . If we ever make it back here, I'd get the filet, or try the fish.
I ordered the Mustard Salmon with rice. Could not taste the Salmon for the Mustard Sauce and the rice seemed like it had been cooked earlier in the day and then left under a warmer all day. Dry and hard.
