This place is great. The food is fresh and very good. I've been twice this week as I'm from out of town but working at the hospital for a week. First day I had the seafood platter. The fish and shrimp were fresh, the batter was seasoned really well, and the crawfish pie was amazing! It was a ton of food (and I got the small) so I had it for dinner too. Yesterday we went back and had club sandwiches. The sandwich was exactly what I was hoping it would be, and they offered to grill the meat (which I've never had before) and that was really good. My friend and I also split the swamp fries, which were good but honestly didn't really send me over the moon. Vic (I assume that's Vic anyway) brought us a little oatmeal raisin cookie. It was perfect to top off the meal. This place is funny, it doesn't have any signage, it's just sitting there on the side of the road with the bayou running behind it. We spotted the sign with the special for the day (Tuesday: hamburger steak with creamed potatoes, my friend said that was really good as well) and there were a bunch of cars parked so we stopped. Definitely beat the heck out of the chain fast food we were headed for before we knew we had an alternative. This is a family business in the truest sense of the word, and they really make you feel welcomed.
