· Ability to purchase the rights to open three (3) or more Mama Fu's locations

Fees and Costs Franchise Fee - Multi-Unit Development only:

· $40,000 Per Unit

· 100% deposit for first unit; 50% deposit for each additional unit

· Royalty Fee: 5%

· System Brand Fund: 2%

What type of franchise is available?

As a franchisee, you will operate a fast-casual/casual dining restaurant offering a menu specializing in freshly prepared Asian cuisine under the mark “Mama Fu‘s Asian House®” Asian House® or Mama Fu’s Takeout & Delivery™. Mama Fu‘s is unique in the franchise industry and Asian space based on our preparation techniques, Flex-Casual® service model, and additional sales channels with Online Ordering and Delivery. We are currently only considering experienced Multi-unit operators with food service experience.

How much does the franchise cost?

The estimated total investment necessary to begin operations of a 1,300 – 1,800 SF Mama Fu’s franchise location is $407,000 – $498,500* and $531,000 – $663,000* for a 2,500 – 3,000 SF location.

*This includes an initial franchise fee of $40,000, but does not include tenant improvement allowance or other landlord credits).

How much is the fee for continuing support services?

The continuing services or “royalty fee” is 5% of your net sales and is paid weekly. This fee allows use of all Mama Fu’s trademarks, use of distinctive system and menu, marketing guidance and assistance, ongoing concept and business development, operations counseling, and other benefits that come with being a Mama Fu‘s franchise.

How is the Development Area that I am interested in determined?

The size and scope of the Development Area will be determined on a case-by-case basis, as we mutually agree upon prior to signing the Area Development Agreement and will be specified in the Agreement. The factors considered in determining the size of a Development Area include (a) Designated Marketing Area (DMA); (b) current and projected market demand; (c) demographics, psychographics, and population; (c) traffic patterns; (d) locations and numbers of like concepts and/or other Mama Fu‘s Restaurants; and (e) number of units in the development plan.

What about advertising?

Mama Fu‘s name and reputation is an important part of our business. Mama Fu‘s has many marketing cost effective tools and collateral easily accessible and available to run in your market to grow your customer base. Recommended grand opening budget is $10,000, and ongoing approximately 3% of your net sales per month on local advertising. In addition, you will be expected to make System Brand Fund contributions of up to 2% of your weekly net sales.

How much training is provided?

The initial eight week training program for you and your management team covers all material aspects of the operation of Mama Fu‘s franchise and is comprised of classroom and on-the-job training. Additional training is performed for your team at your location before, during and after launch, and the Mama Fu‘s Franchisee Intranet is always available for reference documents, contact lists, operations guides, etc. Your Mama Fu‘s Franchise Operations Director will also review all training and proper execution techniques during ongoing periodic operational visits, and give access to additional training as needed.

What is the term of the Franchise Agreement?

The initial term of the Franchise Agreement is ten years from the date the Franchise Agreement is signed. The franchise is renewable for one successive term of ten years, providing you have complied with the provisions of the Franchise Agreement.
