The chicken enchiladas were excellent as was the chilli rellenos. They used real Anaheim peppers. Friendly service. Ate there twice in a week.

A nice stop on the way to Glendo for biking. The tacos a la Mexicans were light and refreshing.

Mexican restaurant which is presumably family run. Not sure if the other reviewers were there on off nights but we had prompt service and two people checked in with us several times, food was great. No loud music, and we'll absolutely be back. The decor is a little different. We'll definitely be back.

The cafe is a clean brightly painted decor. We were started off with chips and salsa but ask for some beans for dipping as well. The serving are large and taste good. I will have to say the green chili although good was quite mild. The beans were the best. Very friendly staff.

Pretty bad to awful. First visit was almost decent. Guacamole was ok, Shrimp Diablo was odd and creamy but very hot, which I like. Beans were bland and runny, rice way over cooked, balnd and watery. Second visit was bad except chili relleno burrito was decent. Third visit was all bad and everything had a rancid grease overtone. Along with the bad food, there is always bad loud music blaring from the kitchen.

I ate here once with a large group and the service was terrible but I figured I'd give it another go. After waiting 10 minutes for the waitress to take our drink orders and bring us chips and salsa we were informed they were out of chips. That's like a bar running out of Jamison. Then our food finally arrived wrong 30 minutes later and the waitress seemed very annoyed anyone would want what they requested. This town disappoints me on the daily. I know you're depressed to live here folks I would be too but is service with a smile that difficult?

First time we came here we sat for 15 mins without a waitress to come ask for our drink or even give us menus. We got up and walked out due to no service and we came back today to give it one more chance and we have been waiting for our food for 25 mins now.... This is really ridiculous and we are for sure not coming back again! This town sucks!!!

Waited 10 minutes between all interactions with waitress. She forgot our waters then brought them after I asked, with food hanging off the side of my glass. Got up and walked out after waiting 30 minutes on our food and no one noticed.

For a hole in the wall joint its great. Very tasty meals that exceed the typical mexican joints. Go for steak or pork here. Green chilli, tamalis and rellenos are best.

Los Dominguez is one of the nicer places to eat in Wheatland. The food is fresh, delicious and authentic, while the service is generally quick and friendly. The servings are plentiful, and the menu is varied enough that you shouldn't have a problem picking something you'll like. The only drawbacks are that it can be busy at times (but that's what you should expect from a place of this caliber in a place like Wheatland) and the atmosphere isn't exactly indicative of high dining. If you're looking for tablecloths, or even something besides plastic booths and tables, this probably isn't the place for you.

This was just ok. The green chili was not spicy at all. The rest was fine but nothing special.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
