I LOVE this place! The food is fresh & yummy, they have a large variety of drinks that are all delicious. To top it off, everyone who works there is over the top friendly! The combination of all the above will keep me visiting as long as I'm within driving distance :)

While visiting Torrington from California, I have been searching for a great cup of coffee. This is it! Excellent coffee and service in a quaint little restaurant. This has become my new favorite place in Torrington!

For a small, desolate town driven primarily by the Ag industry and the retirement demographic, this is truly a gem of a business. When someone pictures a great coffee shop in most other areas of the US, they get more different visions than what the Java Jar is. This is, in a way, its charm! It really feels like someone's tiny little kitchen got renovated into a cafe. It's cozy and the the service is always friendly the many times I've been there. I would have to agree that it may not be the cheapest place to get coffee, but that's fine with me. I'll pay a little extra to feel comfortable and welcome in this coffee shop. I reserve the 5th star because while I feel comfortable, I'm not really that keen on the whole country bumpkin decor. I never did eat the food, but those I went with never had anything bad to say. Overall, if you are familiar with this town of Torrington, you'll agree that it is one of a few places that really stand out and one that you'll be sure to revisit anytime you go through Torrington.

Been partaking in the Java Jar's yummy drinks and food since the day it opened. The ladies that run this place are awesome. The lattes and coffee are excellent and their daily specials hit the spot. When your in t-town hit up the Java Jar, it's a hometown hit.

Best lunch place in Torrington! I must have been here a dozen times while travelling. I love their specialty lattes, sandwiches, and soups. The ladies that work the counter are super-friendly and service is quick.

They can't make an italian soda to save their life, but the espresso drinks are usually pretty good. Their baked goods are yummy. :] We always call for delivery up to the cosmetology building.

Great blended coffee drinks! The service is quick and friendly! They also make wonderful lunch food and baked goods. This place beats 3-D's coffee hands down!
