A fun place to eat - kitchsy decor and good food, especially the pizza (thick, midwestern stylish crust). Other dishes include nachos, steaks, burgers, etc. The food didn't totally blow me away, but the staff was friendly and it has a fun atmosphere. Worth trying out!

Service was a little slow, but seeing as there were only 2 people for the whole restaurant it was pretty good. French onion soup was weak but the burger I had was good.

Best part of my meal was the potato dumpling soup. Great flavor and hot. The burritos I had were chicken , it seems just some cold foul rolled up in a tortilla cover with a bland green chili. Warming it up at least would have done it a little justice. I have eaten there before but was much better then what was served that day. No people in the Restaurant during lunch should have been a clue. They have lost the edge.

sat down and looked at the menu- all 5 pages. Chef Ramsey say's that is too many items for it to be good. Left before the waitress delivered my water.

The enchilada was,,, well, it just was. Comparable to frozen meal quality. The green chili sauce was bland and runny, as was the salsa that came with the chips. I think maybe 'Mexican' food is just very different in this part of the country & it's not what I was expecting. The pie was either not home made OR not completely home made, but to be fair I didn't ask if it was. My bad!

We had great service and enjoyed the quirky atmosphere at this joint. Sadly, the food was mediocre. The pizza was bland and the cheese on top was strange -- almost like the low fat blend of mozzarella that doesn't really melt. We ordered a kid's spaghetti, small pizza and a couple of cups of coffee for over $30. The rest of the menu seemed pretty overpriced for what it was. Sadly, we won't be returning.

Multiple cuisines at one restaurant make me nervous...so i stuck with basics and both food and service were great with a clean, cozy and comfortable atmosphere (not the over-lit diner situations you find nearby). Waitress was genuinely kind and a great server. Had a couple of beers in ice cold mason jars, and a perfectly cooked medium rare steak. In Torrington this place gets 4 stars, elsewhere probably less, but if you're reading this you ain't elsewhere! Give em a shot. There's an overabundance of Mexican restaurants in town, and it seems a lot of the negative reviews are about that food, so just stick with steak!

5 stars for the lasagna with meat sauce-- it's among my favorites anywhere. I've been here three times, and each time I get the same thing, and I am not disappointed. The lasagna is tasty and cheesy, and the meat sauce is bright and flavorful, and not greasy. Based on the sauce, I'd bet the other Italian items on the menu are good too. The garlic bread is OK and the salad very basic, so I can't give the restaurant as a whole 5 stars. Service has always been very good, though. Looking forward to going again the next time I'm in the area!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
