What amazing Mexican food in Thayne WY...?? Who would have thought.... Stop here if you ever find yourself out here. The owner and his family are amazing! I had al pastor taco and shredded beef enchilada with queso fresco. So good. My friend had the gorditas with al pastor and the other with bistec! Topped with queso fresco! My other friend had tacos and was in heaven! The only thing missing was a nice cold glass of horchata! I'm telling you this place is freaking outstanding! If I ever find myself in the area again I will be eating here!

I wanna taco 'bout my experience at this house of tacos. I love eating at this quaint restaurant, especially with my family! The staff is helpful and efficient, we got our menus right away and our complimentary chips and salsa followed. The wait wasn't too long, which implied that everything was cooked to order--which I love! The atmosphere is awesome too. If you have a group of people, they can sit you in a totally different room, a great option for family outings. TIPS & TRICKS: * Wear a warm jacket, that's the only downside, it's usually a little chilly inside. * If you can, go on a FRIDAY. Juan only makes his "Tres Leche" dessert then, and trust me, you want to end your experience on that note. * Try the Barbacoa Taco, with onions and cilantro added. One you get it, squeeze the fresh lime on top and pour some of the homemade salsa on the tortilla as well! * If you're not craving beans and rice and everything nice, go for the french fries on the side--they are delightful.

Food was epic. Chips and salsa good as well but I didn't know until the end you can ask for salsa with real heat. No alcohol here, but Juan said it is ok to byob. If your passing through hit this place up.

We were traveling and it was late. The placed closed at 8 pm, but we got there at 8:20 and they let us order and the smells of the place was awesome. The tacos were great, but a little expensive. For the price we expected more then just rice and beans. Also, for that price the food should be placed on a normal plate not on paper plate. One of the tasty aspects was the many styles of salsa from mild to hot. It was great to choose and taste different styles. I enjoyed the meal and the kind service, but food is more expensive for what you get.

Exceptionally good food. My favorite is the enchiladas. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends. Juan and Macardia are great people that work very hard for there customers. Every food that I have eaten there has been great. He is always coming up with new ideas to make his restaurant better. Please take the time to give Juan's a try.

Whatever the weaknesses were a few years ago, like paper plates, that is all gone now. Juan and Macaria Herrera are doing a wonderul job and serving superb good with authentic family recipes. I'll drive to Star Valley from Logan just to eat there! Lisa

We love to eat at Juans! Juans homemade chips and salsa are the perfect appetizer to eat while waiting for your food. Running low? No worries, Juan will bring you more! The Barbacoa meat is their specialty. I always order the quesadilla with onion and cilantro with a side of rice and beans, because that's my fave! BUT this time I noticed they had fish tacos. To my absolute delight... They were fabulous!! I switched it up and had a side of fries ;) AND endless diet coke. Delish! There is plenty of food to share with a friend or to take home the leftovers. Tips and tricks... Sit by the fire place. It's chilly in there and the warmth will be comforting. Friday night they make the special "tres leche". Order one for your table then get one to-go. You won't be sorry!! If you have a large group, call ahead and reserve the side room. Plenty of seating for ya'll. If you are craving "Taco Tuesday", this place is not for you! They are closed on Tues!

Very clean place almost a family style atmosphere. Pasole was excellent, relleno plate was good but for just one chilie with beans and rice the price was high. Tacos al pastor were very good. We made the mistake of driving to Aston at Los Cabos for Mexican food on Tuesday when they were closed and should have opted for a PB&J at home. A little disappointed at Juan's House of Tacos not having a great taco selection. We would return.

The meat was kind of eh but the sope it was served in was very good. VERY friendly service bumped them up a star and it looks like they stopped using paper plates.

What? Who? Why did we drive so far to come here? Gorditas is why. I thought Gordita was another of those made up Taco Bell terms. Whatever you call it, it was great. Steak on top of a lightly fried corn thingy in the shape of a small indented (to hold the rest of the stuff) pancake. Topped lightly with shredded (thank goodness not melted) Mexican cheese. Sidecarred by rice and refried beans. Absolutely delicious. Nice atmosphere in a house styled building. The owner/host was very friendly. Too much on their menu to try. Dafe

Juans food is the best around by far. Haven't had anything there I didn't like. He has lots of menu items to choose from. The only item missing is taquitos or rolled tacos. The guacamole is the best I've ever had. My family eats ALOT of chips and Juan just keeps them coming. He also gets to know all his regulars. My husband drinks a lot of ice tea and when we are there Juan always just brings him a pitcher!

Unremarkable food, high prices, and paper plates. I ordered the chili relleno plate which consisted of (1) chili, rice and beans with (4) corn tortillas (?) for $12.95. And yes, all served on a paper plate. Drive on by.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
