Excellent Mexican food. The salsa is the best here. My only complaint is that the green chile sauce has pork in it; otherwise, there are other options for the vegetarians out there.

Great food and service, this town is lucky to have this joint...Being from Mexico aka Los Angeles, I wouldn't call it completely authentic but it's definitely delicious...I would label it more TexMex/Southwest based solely on the whole chili verde theme along with the staff referring to their heritage as Spanish rather than Mexican (also a very southwest/TexMex maneuver)...3 stars because it's not fancy but better than any Mexican food I've had in Oregon so far which is a lame place for Mexican food...

I real mexican restaurant in a blip on the map in central Wyoming. Excellent food! Great salsa and chips. I can't say enough about the quality of food for the price all in such a small town. If you're driving by Sinclair, make sure to stop in and have some good food. I had a taco salad the last time I was in and it was a 4.5/5 I just prefer a lighter shell. The drink service is quick and timely, and I never found myself waiting for anything. Great place to chomp!

Only eat here if you like cinnamon in your enchilada sauce and your taco meat. The waitress will take your order and not return until its check time

We puled our RV off the road while traveling East on I80 due to high wind warnings. Found a large dirt field right on the edge of town, across the street from The Corner Bar, where we had a beer to unwind. Su Casa Café came highly recommended as a good place to eat and was only a block up the road...so we ventured on up the road. I guess it's the only place to eat in all of Sinclair WY, although Evanston is just a couple of mile a way and much larger community. In any event, there was a l10 minute wait on a Monday...OK, the place is definitely popular. Once seated we were serviced by two women, very efficiently and very friendly. One of them told us that its been very popular since it was featured on one of the cooking shows on The Food Network - but no one seemed to know which show. When we left, the hostess didn't even know it had been featured...hmmm, I could not find any Internet reference to the show, albeit I did not over extend myself trying to find it. The Salsa they served was actually served warm and unlike any I had previously had - it was amazing. Unfortunately, they did not tell me there would be a $2.95 charge for another small bowl of it - it wasn't that good. The food itself was very good. It's been over a week now, and to be honest I don't remember what we had, but I do know we enjoyed it. I have to take off a star for not knowing about (or misrepresenting about) the Food Network show and charging for a 2nd portion of Salsa. Otherwise, highly recommended if you're ever in Sinclair WY.

I really didn't have a good experience here. The server didn't bother to write down our order and mine was completely wrong. She fixed it and then even after I told her no flour tortillas I get my corn taco wrapped in a flour tortilla. She said that's the way the beef and bean tacos are made, but after I already told her no flour, she could've mentioned it. Then the "red" enchilada sauce looked and tasted more like brown gravy. I could tell it was made primarily with... you guessed it, flour. I was only able to eat my taco (after it was fixed twice) and beans. The rice was saturated in the "red" sauce and the enchilada was, of course. We decided to be decent and leave the server a normal tip because she tried but the manager didn't bother to at least take the enchilada and rice that I couldn't eat off our bill. I hate leaving bad reviews but I won't be coming back here. The food was otherwise only okay and management didn't do customer service well at all.

An all time favorite Mexican restaurant, beats any place I've been in New Mexico! Eating their green chile has become a spiritual event, and their enchilada sauce is amazingly good and unique. We do not drive past this place if it's open! Great spot to stop in the awful stretch of road between Laramie and Salt Lake.

Who would ever believe there could be such a great little restaurant in the town of Sinclair? Reasonable prices, good food.

Absolutely good food, everything from chips and salsa, meal, and dessert. Fresh warm salsa with good chips. Some of the best salsa I've had. Ordered the steak burrito GREEN sauce, beans and rice, everything full of flavor! Had to stack dessert on with the meal, enjoyed the sopaipillas - they have a special twist on it... you won't be disappointed by any means with this place. Thank you.

My husband grew up, worked, lived and went to college in Wyoming and he has talked about Su Casa as long as I can remember. Whenever his college buddies would come to visit us or we would visit them, they would talk about it together and recount all the delicious food they had. So, when we found ourselves driving through Wyoming on our honeymoon, Su Casa was a must-stop for a meal. Expectations were extremely high... We showed up for a late lunch and the service was spot-on for the entire visit. Our server was very friendly and fast with great suggestions. My husband got the Chili Relleno enchilada and I got the steak enchiladas, both of which were smothered in green chili. The food was good and I really like the steak they used for my enchilada. The serving sizes were extremely generous. My biggest complaint about the food here was that it seemed like they used cubed ham in their green chili. I didn't really like the texture or the flavor of that meat. The food was very heavy and didn't seem salty at the time but after we left I was extremely thirsty. I don't know what possessed us to get dessert here. The server must have pitched it really well but we ended up getting a deep fried cheesecake. It was also very heavy (go figure) but really decadent. I didn't like the blueberry sauce they put on it (it reminded me of pie filling) but everything else about it was well done. I'm glad I can cross that dessert off my list. I had always heard about deep fried cheesecake and had secretly wanted to try it for a long time. Now that I've had it I don't want it ever again. Their salsa was excellent! I almost wish that my enchilada was smothered in that instead of the green chili...

I have to give Su Casa 5 stars. My husband and I plan our road trips east around this place. No kidding. We are known to eat at Su Casa on our way out of town and on our way back when we head east on I-80. The food is off-the-chain delicious and authentic. We eat here, on average, a couple times a month, sometimes more, rarely less, and have never, repeat, never, had a less than awesome meal, no matter what we order. I used to always get the small combo, a delicious sample of the best, but lately have branched out to the Navajo Taco - perfectly spiced meat and tortilla swimming in succulent green chili, and today, delightfully crisp pork taquitos with to-die-for guacamole, and a side of mouth-watering red chili. The service is so friendly and comforting, and the food is homestyle Mexican that makes me weep with delight. This is worth your time, folks, because you will always come back.

A true gem worth stopping for if you pass through Sinclair or stay in Rawlins. They are open 11-7 and have excellent Mexican food. We were so glad that a local recommended them.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. It has a pretty varied menu as well so you're not limited to just the standard dishes you would find at most other Mexican restaurants. The burgers here are also going to best most others offered in the area. I wasn't super impressed by the green chili though since I expect green chili to enflame my mouth and make make all my food exciting. Instead it was runny and lacked substance. I think the red chili is the way to go if you're here.

I wanted to give this place a 5-star, but they took my favorite item off their menu OR went to a different recipe. Let me explain, the first time I went here was clear back in the 90's. Maybe 95? Anyway, my friend's uncle worked at the oil refinery there so he ate there all the time and knew all the ladies who worked there. I tried a white/green chilli that had chicken in it that was the best white/green chilli (depending upon what name you call it) that I've ever had anywhere, including California where I used to live. So I got the chance to go back here last year. In fact, in true proper-foodie-spirit, we actually drove way OUT of our way to hit this place up. I'd daydreamed for years of that soup, but sadly, it was no longer on their menu. Who knows? Maybe it was just a special of the day. Regardless, I had their enchilladas, and they were wonderful. But I had hung my heart on having their soup again. I'm sad to hear they're moving into another building, as I loved the original place, although it was super small; it was very quaint. Sidenote: if you continue on down the street, there's a huge piazza and abandoned building that looks very old. I thought the old Spanish-style architecture (in the middle of nowhere Wyoming) was wild, like something from the set of a spaghetti-western. If you like old buildings, check it out.

One of the three 'Treasure Trove Mexican Resturants' in the deserty Rawlins area. Their green chili ,Tostadas, Burritos-anything is amazing! Well worth pulling off of the interstate to eat at for lunch!

I've eaten at Su casa for years. It never disappoints! It is located on the main street in Sinclair and is a great lunch stop if you travel I -80. Do not be afraid to wait for a table, they serve people very promptly and it's well worth the wait. Plus, it is always clean and service is excellent. I've actually waited in a line before they opened to eat lunch. Okay the food...... the enchilada sauce is so excellent! I love it so much I ask for a side of it if just to put on my rice and beans. I love the chicken avocado tacos, the green chili, the soappapillas, the fajitas ...everything! Hey and if you want a great hamburger they do have that on the menu for the gringos in your group. They also regularly have specials. In closing, sometimes I'm reluctant to share. I don't want too many people crowding my favorite spots! But, it's not right to keep good things a secret!

When on I80 in Wyoming.. Stop it's worth it. We stopped based on the reviews we read and are glad we did. Got there early and it was already filling up quickly. Had quite a few waiting when we left and I can see why. Had the small combo and it was more than enough food. Salsa is different than what I've had in the hundreds of Mexican places and very good. I'm picky about mexican food and I would say go!! In the middle of Wyoming and great Mexican food-who knew!

We stopped on our way through Wyoming and were delighted with the quality of the food. The wait staff was very friendly and the food arrived quickly. We shared a large round table with a person that lived in Wyoming. We had a pleasant visit and learned that he always stops at Su Casa on his travels across the state. The building is fairly new and very clean. We particularly like the salsa--so much so we purchased some to take with us. The lunch crowd seemed to be large but waiting didn't seem to be too long. Excellent food.

Su Casa itself is OK. It's a small place with a few tables and a cafe style bar. Living in the west coast, you get used to fresh produce so when you eat canned tomatoes or whatever, the sweetness really comes out. Do not get anything fried. We noticed the flautas and tacquitos MIGHT have been OK if they replaced the oil once in a while. Good guacamole and mole sauce though. Road trips do not have the spontaneity they used to when we were kids. Now we have gps maps and it takes the guesswork out of trying to find places to eat sleep or whatever. That being said, do not use the Yelp/Google Map to find this place. Lincoln Ave. is 2 blocks from the exit in downtown Sinclair. Not 2-3 miles toward the mountains or behind the Sinclair oil refinery. You will end up in the middle of nowhere in a place reminiscent of the last scene in Seven. It saved me from a bout with Micky D's so overall, it's a good a road trip option. If you happen to be in the middle of nowhere, pop in.

If your traveling I-80 and looking for a nice little place to eat, and one that wont break your wallet, then stop in. It is a small cozy place with the absolute best mexican food you will ever eat in the state. It really not that well advertised, and wish they would do more to get there name out, because i tell everybody i can about them. I usually go to Denver once or twice a year and hit them going and coming. There frito pie is freak'n awesome. They have fresh chips and salsa daily. Buritos, chli renos, taco, it doesnt matter. Its all good. The staff is friendly and the ice tea is refreshing. I highly recommend if your driving through, stop in and see for your self

Is this really a five-star place? No. Some guy from San Francisco complained that the veggies were canned and the oil was old. Well, I can tell you that in Rawlins, I'm glad to have vegetables at all in a desert town and I'm glad that the only thing that's old is some frying oil that will kill anything that comes into contact with it anyway. Sooooo...there you go. The food is the best in town...by far. By far. And it's cheap. And the wait staff is really sweet. It's a tight fit in that location, but it appears that they are opening a new restaurant soon next door. Like I said, overall---this is the best place to eat in town. And the price is right to boot. I love the chicken flauta smothered in green chile. I also love the burritos. My friend prefers to go on Tuesdays for Pork Tuesdays. Don't go in a group bigger than 4 people, though, because they can't really accommodate many people at this point.

This place is small. But if you poke your head in and all seats are filled, just wait in the heated area just outside the door. Your wait is never long because they make the food so quickly. They are in the process of opening the new spacious larger facility they have been building! You will see from my other reviews I travel to California so I have really gotten to try some awesome mexican food. Although Su Casa "is" a "mexican food" place you will notice just like every one through the rocky mountain region it has a very New Mexico twist. Something which is a staple of mexican food restaurants in this region is green chili. Do not let the word combination scare you, this is a mild sauce that is used (upon request) by cuisine aficionados to smother anything mexican. The result of the blended roasted and peeled chiles and pork is mind blowing. If you are afraid, ask for a cup on the side and put just a little on to try it. You will not be disappointed! I saw another review where someone mentioned old oil and flautas and tacquitos. Ordering that kind of fare at a place like this is like ordering a hamburger at a wolfgang puck steakhouse. My personal recommendation is the steak and mushroom burrito "dinner" smothered in green with a side of sour cream. Very filling, this for lunch or dinner will get you all the way to Salt Lake, North Platte, or way past Denver for your next meal.

Delicious food in a very humble setting, Being from North Carolina, all our Mexican restaurants are authentic Mexican run restaurants which offer a slightly different style than Su Casa (more shredded beef, white cheeses, etc.). We finished our Wyoming statewide tour with a stop here as we were crashing in nearby Rawlins. Food is VERY good. The food is Southwestern style and will arrive quickly and hot. There are only about 10 tables so expect to wait at busy times, but only for a few minutes. You might even be asked to share one end of a big table with a different couple :) Rice and beans were tasty. Portions are adequate, but go for a combination if you are hungry. The enchiladas with green chili sauce were very tasty, and the sauce is perfectly spicy. Meals are about $7.50-$11 for a big combination. Free bowl of chips and salsa when you are seated. They may need to expand again if they keep serving the tasty meals we had.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
