Funky place with a mixture of animal and sports decor. Hilariously huge (as in actual size) menus. Nice stop off the highway, not sure if there is much else in this town. Not many options for those health conscious. The nachos were pretty good although they had an odd mixture of nacho cheese and shredded, non melted cheddar. Chicken was blah on top. The fried pickle spears were delicious. Overall nice break from the drive from salt lake to Colorado.

We needed to eat on our road trip! The kids picked this place and it is definitely a kid food kind of place! My salad was supposed to be a taco salad but it had weird ingredients... Hard boiled egg. Hot dog was good. French fries are very good! If you're hungry it will do the trick but not amazing. Staff was kind and attentive.

Two words - Bucks sucks! Seriously, I don't know how they compare to the other restaurants in town, but honestly? We would have been better off going to the Burger King by our hotel. And I hate fast food and haven't been to one in many years, so that tells you something. We stopped in Rawlins to sleep on a recent road trip through the West. The hotel clerk gave us a list of restaurants and highly recommended Bucks, saying it was her absolute favorite place. Not ours! First, the service. I realize it was late (9:30pm) when we pulled in, but just say you are closed - we asked if they could still serve us. Both servers took a complete attitude with us. Second, the food. Undercooked meat, overcooked veggies. We were both sure that we'd have food poisoning that evening from their food. I tried to stick with the salad, yet they managed to screw that up. They use shredded iceberg lettuce for their salads. Basically they dump a huge bag of this on a plate and top it with three carrots, three pieces of celery and some undercooked chicken and call it a salad. I would have been better off with BK.

The service was good but the food was not. The white bean chile smelled like burnt hair and had the consistency of mush. The steak was undercooked, tough, not seasoned and dry. The spaghetti lacked adequate sauce and was dried out or old. I would avoid this place and yelp other places in town.

Great food, Great service no question I will get off the freeway to stop here again I had the outlaw burger quite possible the best burger for me ever!! My wife has the chicken fried steak moist and prepared perfect. love the decor and the place is spotless

Do not let the decor fool you. Ridiculously large menus. Food is below average. I ordered chicken parmesan with spaghetti and had to send it back because the noodles were just so over cooked. Not to mention the chicken tenders used for this were already fried, then cut up into smaller pieces then fried again. They were so hard to even bite into. My husband got a steak only to receive the stringiest steak he's ever come across! The salad that comes with the meal was litrally just a bed of shredded lettuce. I have never in my life seen a restaurant that serves shredded lettuce for a salad!!

Stopped on our way thru and was pleasantly surprised. Fun atmosphere, good food, and more than generous portions. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. Glad we stopped.

Came to bucks as a highly suggested place for good food and great service. My coworkers from Sinclair were wrong. A group of 6 of us from the south were greeted with horrible service and cold food. Groups of people that came in after we did were served fed and out the door before we got our food. Our old battle ax waitress was rude and snappy. She need to take her old ass home and get a job as a door greeter at wal mart. I spoke with management he didn't seem to care with his scary nerdy ass. After we spoke with the manager she came around trying to be friendly. Contractors and travelers beware. Don't waste your time. Food is crap people are crap.

So far, I am not having the best experience, typical of being alone, they seated 4 groups of 3 or 4 before me. And the looks, you would think I was a alien, guess not being a local, I would expect that. Let's see how the food is....

Passing through and stopped for lunch. HUGE menu. Literally. The piece of laminated paper is massive. Good selection. Typical sports-bar atmosphere. Very Wyoming. Good food and service. Would recommend.

Terrible customer service especially from our server stephanie. She was acting really upset because we split the bill but other than that the food was good. I'm pretty sure she got a better tip from the group because of it anyway...whatever..

Typical sports bar. Decent food, good service. Clean place. Lots of TVs. Good handcut fries.

We came in about 9 at night after a long day of travel. It was a great atmosphere and seemed to be the most poppin place in town. Good food and good service. Seemed to be pretty new compared to everything else around that area so I hope it prospers. BUCKS A+++

We ordered a veggie pizza and it was barely edible. They used all of the veggies with no taste (celery, carrots, cucumbers). Also, the base was a ranch base (not marinara). The ingredients weren't on the menu and our server didn't tell us it was special. It's really hard to mess up pizza, but this place did it. I gave this place an extrA star because they did have good beer for a good price. Would not recommend for dinner.

Food was very good, portions large. The decor was fun to explore. Lots of memorabilia and unusual surprises throughout the restaurant. Service was a little slow but food was well worth it. Personally didn't care for the fries (just tasted them) however many other alternatives. The chef salad was awesome.

This place is hit or miss in terms of service and food. My first visit, I sat at the bar and ate. Bloody Mary was great and appetizers were great. The last time I was there, service was average. The four cheese pizza was delicious. Reuben dog was a huge fail. Yuck. It's worth a shot if you're in the area, the burgers looked great.

Great burgers and very fair prices! Only knock is a lack of healthy, non fries options but I would highly recommend if your driving through!

Loses points for staff, atmosphere, clientele, music selection, and table/tv arrangement. The tables and menus had that sticky dirty feeling to them and nothing save the beer I ordered made my visit here enjoyable. I was seated at a table with no clear view of any television which is silly for a sports bar. The food was also overpriced as is typical for such a place. The only redeeming quality was the 32oz mason jars of beer you can order which are priced at or just below the norm. I probably won't be going back.

Stopped in Rawlins for the night moving from Washington state to Georgia for work, me and my dad ate here can't remember the burger I had but me and my dad loved the atmosphere and the waitress' were extremely friendly, if I ever get the chance to move to wyoming I will make that trip just to eat here again.

Fun local place. Typical bar and grill food. Most of the time I have been here the service was good, once the waitress was more worried about the guys at the other table but that was once; otherwise great service and decent food.

This place was awful.. There was four of us (two couples). My boyfriend and I ordered the chicken parmesan, and our friends, the chicken fried chicken. We got a salad, that consisted of shredded iceberg (not even salad grade iceberg), tomatoes that weren't ripe, and a single slice of cucumber. Our main dish had a small portion of spaghetti, a poor sauce, some questionable bread slices, and way too many pieces of extremely breaded and fried popcorn chicken pieces. Our friends requested an additional plate and silver wear for sharing. Not only did our server not bring it to them, but they had to wait 10-15 minutes to even get noticed by a waitress who wasn't ours, to have their needs met. Along with the poor service, and horrible food.. All of the girls serving us had shirts that said "Nice Rack. Wanna Buck's?" on the back of them. The only plus I this place was the dollar pbrs. I would advise against eating here.. But a beverage might do you fine.

We were just driving through and the hotel recommended this place. Food was really good and the staff were all friendly. Highly recommended.

Watch out for the deer!!! Lol! Beautiful bartenders. Great service. Had a great time. Food... have low expectations and you'll be surprised.

Good sized portions, but I ordered a ribeye which came with a lot of grissle and didn't have a lot of flavor. Also ordered it med well and it was closer to rare. Good beers on tap though. Decor reminds you of a Famous Dave's with all the license plates and street signs from the area. I sort of expected a better steak when in Wyoming.

5 stars for having a place this fun, fresh, friendly and delish in little Rawlins,WY! Creatively decorated, a back end of a buck meets you as you walk in....his head's around the other side of the wall! Good fun all around, esp if you like hunter-esque and vintage kitsch in a mash-up. Typical sports bar fare with some local twists like fried pickles. Very friendly and fast service. A great place for a fun meal right off 80.

Decent food, fun atmosphere, and friendly staff. I had the triple decker burger: patty, cheese, bacon, + shaved ham & turkey ... yummm...... Fries were great --- skinny-type, not steak fries, which I prefer, and a good amount of fryness & saltiness.

As a Los Angeles resident used to restaurants that all look like variations of Denny's, Bucks was a bit different than my image of the typical eating establishment. We ate there because it was the only place open at 9pm on a Friday. Our first impression was that it was loud. Our second impression was that we don't usually see buck butts hanging the "lobby" wall in the big city. We were finally seated after being forced to endure a loud hyper adult roughhousing a loud hyper kid for 10-minutes. The menu is huge--not in amount of selections but in it's AARP-friendly physical size. As for the food, we were pleasantly surprised. The portions were large and quality excellent. Overall, it was an unusual but highly enjoyable experience.

We stopped here but wished we hadn't. The service and the food were not great. My daughter ordered chicken strips that were overcooked, I ordered a chicken strip salad which was maybe 1 chicken strip cut up on a huge pile of shredded iceberg lettuce. My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger which when it came out didn't have the bacon on it. When my he asked a second time for more napkins, the server snapped at him. You would be better off going to Burger King or McDonald's.

So this an awesome bar food kind of place with a surprisingly strong craft beer selection. The server, bartender, and the folks at the next table were very knowledgeable regarding the beer selection and recommendation which I totally did not expect. If you are a beer snob you'll be just fine here, and if not the taps are varied enough to include everyone's taste. Served in mason jars no less. If you are looking for a sophisticated steak or some cutting edge vegan options this ain't it. But for a beer and a pizza/burger/sandwich this place totally rocks. The salads are huge and heavily loaded. They do a mean fried pickle which is a hit or miss dish for most places. Family environment so if your looking to get stone cold drunk this is not the place to do it. If you are passing thru this is your best bet for a nice dinner and a beer to unwind before you hit the road again. Totally local and totally awesome.

We had a party of 7 and were on the waiting list. They said the wait was 30 minutes for a table. We waited for 45 minutes as other parties of 3 or 4 came and went. I ask how much longer it was going to be for a table. They replied, "We are unable to accommodate a party greater than 4." This was very discouraging since we were waiting for a table for over an hour now. We asked, "How long would take for a carry out order?" They replied, "It will take 30 to 45 minutes." We decided to leave. I do not recommend this place if you have more than 4 people dining in. I wish they would have told us sooner that they could not accommodate us. They could have saved us a long wait.

It's a cute little restaurant with licence plates, sporting and animal photos all over the wall. Service was pretty good and they pretty much have a dedicated girl standing at the door ready to greet people. I ordered the beef brisket hoagie with fries and the wife had the Bucks Stacker. Mine was okay but preferred the taste of the wife's food, plus she got an upgrade to the onion rings which were AWESOME!!!

Great service and good food. Was able to watch the game while enjoying dinner. I love the fact that they offer 1/2 order appetizers; 2 for $10, 3 for $15.

We were moving cross-country & we stopped here for dinner. I got the "Outlaw Burger", my wife had the "Pork Pulled Hoagie" and my kids shared a pepperoni pizza. The burgers / sandwiches come in these deep metal dishes, and the portions were really big. Me & my wife also upgraded to the onion rings (instead of fries). Everything was fresh and the service was excellent, we couldn't have asked for more. We would definitely go back again.

Huge portions, homemade salad,Steak cooked perfectly, low prices. I'm not sure it could get much better and privately owned not some corporate chain. Considering the location I'd eat here everyday.

Great experience. The food was excellent, the beer was inexpensive and everyone was friendly with fast service. I had the ribeye which was cooked perfectly, a wedge salad that was crisp and topped well with goodies, and a side of fried mushrooms that came out hot and done right. The menus could use a bit of a scrubbing so they don't feel sticky icky, it's a cool idea to have a gigantic menu, but it would be nice for them to be as clean as what the rest of the establishment seems to be. I was skeptical about going in because of the cheezy cartoon signage, but was pleasantly surprised once inside.

I've been here a couple times. Bartenders are nice and welcoming. Fast drink service. Their chicken tenders was a little over cooked. The avocado bacon burger was okay. Frenchfries are okay. Their mini for dogs were good and pizza rolls were okay. It's not a bad place to go and dine but not my first choice. People are nice :)

After a long day driving on I-80, we stopped for the night in Rawlins. Asked the desk clerk to recommend a place where we could get soup and salad and an adult beverage. She recommended Buck's and we are glad she did! For $8 each we had a salad, a nice bowl of chili and cheese quesadilla quarters. All fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place. Very casual, some peope even rolled up on ATV's. Total bill with two beers came to $23.

This is a great find, good food, clean atmosephere, friendly people and decent price. Stopped here with my family as we were passing through on a recomendation from a friend. He said this is one of the places in town you are garanteeed to be served by people that aren't "all meth'd out" and he was right. The people were very nice and super friendly with the kids. The food is tpical pub fair but the quality was very good. I had an awesome burger, the wife had a dog. Everything was better than I expected. Definitly worth visiting if you're in the area.
