I grew up in Laramie when the location was Crown Liquor, the bar mentioned in a previous review. In fact, my (now) in-laws owned it back then. Grounds is a very cool coffee spot, and I love the free WiFi. I'm in town visiting mom, who has dial-up AOL - enough reason to appreciate Internet access. I bring my laptop and work 2-3 hours at a time. $3 for a toasted bagel with butter and a 16oz Americano. Pretty darn good deal. I have found all the staff to be exceptionally pleasant. The sofas are comfy and there are plenty of power outlets. Oh, and there are at least 4 desktop computers if you don't have a laptop.

This hidden gem is a definite must if you're driving through or live in Laramie! The service is great, specifically kassidy, and the coffee and food are even better! I'm a huge fan of the Thai coffee and the oh be joyful on a croissant. Very healthy and way better than a chain. Also, a great place to tuck away an study!

I am a fan! Iced Razzle Dazzle before work is a must! I had a breakfast bagel sandwich one time, and although they were busy (so it took 20 min to get), it was delicious. The staff have ALWAYS been very friendly, whether we went inside or through the (slightly awkwardly placed) drive thru.

This used to be a place to get fresh orange juice. Disappointed to find that not happening anymore. If you are a coffee drinker though this may be the place. I don't drink coffee but love the drive up window.

They have free wifi, awesome sandwiches that you can watch them make, quick and friendly service, and now they serve Marley Coffee! Great place, it won't disappoint. :)

Love this place! Some of the best coffee I've had, nice spacious tables for studying, and actually affordable food!

An extra star for the reliable internet. Good coffee and the Barista knew well about the coffee. Ambience could be better. Nevertheless a great place to work from or study and drink a good cup of coffee.

Great, friendly place to get a cappuccino. A REAL cappuccino, not a caffeinated sugar drink. Free wifi, cozy seating. Probably shouldn't say this, since I love the quick service, but there's seldom a line, unlike other coffee shops in town.

very cool, kinda bohemian coffee shop with smoothies made from "real fruit" (frozen, but at least not some powdered mix).. the Blue Hawaiian smoothie - a combo of blueberry, mango, and pineapple is great! albeit a bizarre combination since blueberries grow in New Jersey and mangos and pineapples grow in places much more tropical than New Jersey like say Brasil where I would much rather be.. Lots of seating capacity, tables, couches, a couple computers for internet access. they have food too. a couple tables outside when weather is good.

Ok so I have been wanting to try this place out for a long time. It's definitely not my usual scene but the hippy vibe places usually have great coffee. Plus the yelp reviews were great so I decided to come. I love the layout. Lots of room and wifi. But the coffee I got was cold and stale! Not such a good thing for a cafe. The sandwich looked great on paper but it was not at all worth six bucks. So at the end of the day, I got stale coffee, a meh sandwich, and a bag of chips. Sorry, but I'm not feeling the love.

Warm and cozy with free wi-fi and amazing Chai tea. I really liked this place and stopped in almost every morning that I spent in Laramie.

For years my favorite coffee shop in town. But it's gotten worse, with the internet not working as well and the staff sort of being very hit or miss. Still the best indie coffee shop in a small town, but YMMV depending on when you go.

The Grounds exists in what used to be a bar. As a result it's a narrow and oddly shaped space. Up front with the counter is a bar area and some public computer terminals. In the back you have comfortable seating and plenty of tables. You'll find lots of students here studying or shooting the breeze. The drink selection is fairly impressive and wide in scope. They serve much more than coffee here. The quality is fine, but I've never had a drink here that really stood out. It's the only place in town I know of to get wheat-grass juice, though. Perhaps most unlikely of all is that The Grounds also doubles as a music venue. You'd never know it during the day, as there is no stage or even a clear space on the floor for a band to set up. On a night with a show the shop closes early and chairs and tables are cleared out of the long, narrow space. Cover is usually about $5 to see small-time touring and local acts. Since there isn't a stage you can get face to face with the performers if you're willing to deal with the output of whatever speakers they're brought with them. It's cramped and loud, but it's better than nothing. In fact, it's usually pretty awesome.

I stopped in here for a quick bite 'n' browse on my way down I-80, and I'm glad I did. Two stars just for decent prices and free Internet access. The place is spacious, with standard coffeeshop seating toward the entrance and comfortable couches, tables, and nooks in the back. It has a nice relaxing feel, and even a few outlets. I ordered the "Wild West Reuben", a classic Reuben made with buffalo meat. Delicious! On my particular visit, I got to overhear the story of a girl who never drinks hard alcohol, but loves to play drinking games with beer. Apparently she passed out the other night! Some poor guy listened to this for a half an hour without adding a word. Minus one star for the barista being "bristled" that I ordered a sandwich within a half-hour of closing time. If you don't want to make food at 7:40, close the restaurant at 7:30!
