Four stars for Kristen, our breakfast waitress, who was absolutely delightful. She kept us laughing (and was a very attentive, excellent waitress to boot).

Honestly, I'm surprised Shari's only gets 2.5 stars. It's a bit better than that, at least worthy of 3 stars, maybe 3.5. Stopped in Laramie for the night on a cross country drive and had intended to find someplace in the downtown area, but nothing seemed open and what did seem open consisted seemingly only of college bars. No thanks. Shari's is open 24/7 which is a huge plus and the service and food were both fine. Nothing all that impressive, but solid diner options. A lot of other reviews about the service, but our waitress was attentive, good interactions, and food came out in a timely manner. Nothing to complain about for sure. The food was pretty good. I had a turkey burger which was actually quite moist and fairly well spiced. Came with fresh avocados, great canteloupe, and the burger actually had a good flavor. Good enough to get again if I'm honest. Also had some apple pie for dessert. It was pretty good, but not great. I'd maybe try another pie next time but the apple was fine, can't go wrong with some apple pie.

They changed the amount you get in your pie shake. Not worth going back not to mention we waited 30 minutes plus for our pancakes and pie shakes. We asked and they said they were giving away too much so they cut back the amount of ice cream. Will not go back.

I stopped here this morning for breakfast. I had never been to a Shari's before and probably never will be in one again. I asked for eggs over medium and they barely qualified as eggs easy. Very runny. Bacon, hash browns, pancakes were all run of the mill. On a bright note (and the only reason this review is giving two stars instead of one) the young waitress I had was wonderful. Very friendly, helpful, and efficient. On a not so bright note, the older lady who apparently is the manager, was a definite downer, especially for first thing in the morning. She was ranting at employees and seemed to be a very sarcastic person. At one point she started picking up handfuls of menus and throwing them on the floor. Each time she would yell, "GARBAGE!" It was a truly bizarre scene. I couldn't believe she was doing this in front of customers. One other negative: irritatingly loud music. Who needs that at 6:30 in the morning?"

The Chef "Dee" was very good. She's running the whole place from back of the kitchen. She's not only cooking the food, but being attentive to the customers needs out on the floor from the back kitchen window. Eggs were hot and fresh, waffles tasty. We went late at night.

Soooooo friendly- driving from CA to Wyoming for fun and were starving so we stopped and had the best iced tea I've ever had.. Ham and eggs.. Wings.. Club sandwhich! Highly recommend this joint!

Wow and 2 stars is pushing it. Or waiter was slow. The cooks did not know what they were doing. My son asked for pancakes and got a half cooked one with batter still in the middle. Seriously who does that. My husband had a steak and said medium well but what he got was more on rare. I got the loaded baked Potatoe soup that was green but tasted fine. And the quiche was real good to. We are still waiting on our waiter to ask us if our food is even good though we are done and I still need my pie which was supposed to come with my dinner but I don't even have the pre selection list I was promised. Plus the sofas were all flat. We got a sprite and coke.

Two words: food poisoning. I didn't have high expectations but we were meeting family we hadn't seen in awhile so we wanted somewhere quiet without a wait. They weren't busy but it still took an hour to get our food. Anyway, 10 hours later I started vomiting and didn't stop for 6-8 hours. Never again! I would post 0 stars if I could. I have worked in food service and try to be understanding but there is no excuse!

Why is this place still in business? When I first started going it was pretty okay - the waiters were really nice and pretty attentive. For the past couple of years, though, it's been horrible. Even though it's always super slow when I go there, it on average takes about 20 minutes to even get someone to look at you. Actually getting seated takes another 10. Most of the time the waitstaff is nice and friendly, but SUPER SUPER SLOW. Their manager always yells at them in front of customers, tables go un-bussed for hours, etc. Also, they're really weird about wifi and plugging your computer in. Blech.

I am being generous with two stars. Shari's is a chain you think there would be standards. The service is lousy as the waitresses would rather chat with their friends than work and the last time we went in, they were obviously short handed as there were two girls working in the kitchen, long hair that they didn't tie up or have hair nets over and by their outfits they were obviously filling in. We saw them and turned around and walked out and haven't been back since.

I was surprised with how good the food was here. Both times I left happy. Once I ordered the quiche and it did not disappoint. Another night I was craving pancakes and had a full breakfast that hit the spot. We took two pieces of pie to go, and the marionberry caught my eye. Ended up being probably one of the best slices of fruit filled pie I've ever had. Flaky crust, sweet, tart, plump berries, just perfect. Service was slow sometimes but hey it happens. As long as the food is good I'm fine with waiting.

This place is definitely worthy of a review. The good: It is open 24 hours, there is plenty of parking, and the location is perfect. The bad: The prices are too high for what it is. The food is ok, but not outstanding. Could be better. The menu also gets tedious after a while. The ugly: The service sucks. The waitresses are nice enough but they are so ditzy! I don't think I have ever come here and not had something come up.

Delicious when you're drunk at 2 a.m. Avoid at all costs when you're sober, however.

First time I went here the food and service were amazing!!! Then it all went down hill :( I have been about 4 times since and its been the same each time.. the food has been cold and the service has been horrible. Each of these 4 times we had food missing and drinks were never refilled. At one point, im guessing a manager, was yelling at two of the girls in the middle of the dinning area. On an up side the pies and pie shakes are always good!!

Super service with a smile, delicious pies (the s'more pie is crazy-good), and my family and I can vouch for the goodness of the eggs benedict, the chicken pot pie, and, here's a surprise, the garden burger! Definitely a great place to stop if you're hungry for soul food and a warm diner atmosphere.

A group of us were traveling through Laramie around lunch time and a disaster occured, my Blackberry couldn't connect to the internet so I couldn't check Yelp for a decent restaurant!!!! We drove around town tring to find an acceptable looking place. After eliminating the usual chains and since we had some driving ahead, not wanting to sample one of the local bars, we stumbled upon Shari's. Well I didn't know it was a chain until reading some of the other reviews today. Not suprisingly the food was quite chain-like, relatively simple, very average. The burgers were ok but not worth an out of the way trip and I had an entre salad that was a little different, Cajun steak salad, good but not exceptional. If you're in Laramie and hankering for a taste of Denny's or Chilli's, or its late at night, head for Shari's. Otherwise keep looking.

Food is disgusting!! Ordered a hot turkey took one bite and that was enough!! They didn't even offer to replace it or not charge me!!

This place was like Perkins or Dennys but I don't think nearly as good. I ate supper here and was on the verge of full blown food poisoning. I had stomach cramps for hours on end!

We stopped in around 10pm on a Sunday night. There were a few customers, but one poor guy was running the show out front. He was nice, but obviously overwhelmed. It took a while to take our order and even longer for the food. I tried their burger and dog sampler and it was pretty foul. Their broccoli and cheese soup tasted like it was nuked and came from a can. They have free Wi-Fi and that was a bonus, but I would not recommend coming here. Looks like Shari renovated a Perkins or Eat N Park, but gave up on running a decent restaurant after that.

I met my first husband here in 1984. He worked grave yard and after we got off work or closed the bars, we'd come in for breakfast. Shari's is your typical 'diner' style restaurant. PIE is delicious. I don't really have much else to add, except you never know where you'll meet your future spouse!

It's a Shari's, just like any other Shari's to be found across the West. This one has the distiction of being Laramie's only 24 hour restaurant. This means it's the only place hungry, inebriated university students have to go at 2 am. Therefore it is a godsend. Just as greasy and borderline disgusting as any other Shari's, but the waitstaff is probably a little more with it. I once ate the so called Colossal burger here. The one with the ham and the fried egg. Managed to keep it down to win a bet and got my dinner free as a result. My stomach is quietly protesting at the though of this gastrointestinal feat. Those were good times.
