I'm a big fan of French bakeries so I just had to stop by when I was in the area. When I entered the bakery I was immediately impressed by how welcoming/open it was; it's really nice to find a place with such a homey atmosphere in a town that caters mostly to tourists. I ordered a kouign-amann which was huge and relatively cheap, but was less caramelized and softer than I was hoping for. That being said, it still tasted delicious.

With a line out the door, I was hesitant to wait as we were on our way Yellowstone for the day. Well, I'm glad I exercised patience because it was well worth it! Persephone Bakery, located in a quaint old house with an endearing exterior, has a bright and modern interior. Staff are attentive, sweet and try to accommodate customers promptly. Note that if you're coming here for breakfast or brunch, come with the expectation that inside seating is sparse. However, there is plenty on the attached patio. If you're here to grab and go, the line moves fairly quickly. Now, had known how delicious these pastries were going to be, I would have probably bought one of each. My husband went for a ham and cheese croissant and lemon poppy seed cake. I snagged a cheddar and black pepper scone and blackberry tart. We planned on eating one immediately and saving the other for later in the day. Let's just say, our plans failed in the best way possible, no crumbs were spared. Put this place down on your list of, "must stop for breakfast or snack spots" in Jackson Hole.

Ohhhh yes. This place topped my list for delicious breakfast in Jackson. The line is long, the wait for food is long, the place is busy.... doesn't matter, it was worth it. So you stand in line and when you get to the front, there is a case of beautiful breakfast pastries.... Our party of 3 ordered a ton of pastries - I got a chocolate croissant and the other two got almond croissants, some other croissant, and a tea cake.... as I moved towards the register, I saw the most perfect chocolate chip scone... but I had already ordered! It was a travesty (I even came back another day to get one and they were out.... next time). I also got an egg sandwich. Let me tell you, the egg sandwich is what this place is all about. It was so frickin tasty.... the herbed aioli with the egg with the cheese and croissant... I wanted to make mmmmm noises after every bite ( but I didn't, because that would be weird). The chocolate croissant was just ok.... only had a thin line of chocolate inside, probably wouldn't order again BUT the tea cake was super tasty and continued to be tasty for the next 2 days (yes, I ate part of a 2 day old pastry, but it was still good! I swear!) Needless to say, I'll be back!

Loved it here! I came here because of a friend's suggestion. The entire brunch menu sounds delicious - I will honestly come here every morning for the rest of my trip. I got the egg sandwich and it was so hearty and flavorful. The croissant was flaky, buttery, soft, chewy. Intelligentsia coffee - yes please.

Love everything about this place! The food, the service and the bakery sections. We are passing through and are from Seattle so this has been the closest thing to the food in Seattle.

  • Marilyn M.

Beautiful outdoor seating, a typewriter by the bathroom so you can leave a note on the wall, amazing pastries and food, and great coffee and espresso drinks. I could see it being a little packed in winter months if there is no outdoor seating available due to the weather, but for a stop in the summer, there was plenty of space! We sat outside, but there is a limited amount of seating inside as well. Their food was amazing. The line is long but moves fast and was definitely worth the wait!

Fantastic spot!! We are kind of glad we only managed to make it in here on our way out of Jackson, or we would have easily put on 10 lbs sampling their baked goods. We had to hit the road, so we just picked up a couple croissants to go. We were all really jealous of all the groups of friends enjoying the outdoor patio and their tasty treats. So glad I made the impulse buy of their chocolate/walnut/sea salt cookie at the register - it was pure bliss. Our advice? Come here, bring friends.

I love this bakery! We were in JH for one week and this is only place we went to twice. The place has a great vibe, lots of friendly staff, excellent coffee drinks using Intelligentsia coffee, and the star attraction bakery items are out of this world. Who is this magic baker or bakery team making all this scrumptious goodness??? The macaroons were light and airy, great muffins, scones, breads, and sweet cookies.

Amazing breakfast/brunch place... Had the truffled egg skillet and it taste amazing. Definitely try the sweet potato and Brussels sprout hash on the side no matter which one you end up ordering. Definitely will swing by if I end up coming to Grand Teton again!

  • Susie C.

Yum! Everything here is so fresh and delicious! My husband and I were looking for a quick breakfast so ordered the breakfast sandwich with ham to go. It was by far the best breakfast sandwich I have had anywhere. The game changer was definitely the croissant. It was so soft and flaky. . . Just perfect! We decided to get some pastries to go as well since we were traveling and knew we would need something later on. The pastries were just as delicious. My favorite was the cinnamon bun. No other cinnamon bun compares! The bakery has limited seating and is pretty small inside so I can see that being an issue if you get there at a busy time. We got there about 10 minutes after opening and there were only four other people in there. Definitely go early because you get the best selection then too! While we were there they were bringing out all of their freshly baked pastries.

Persephone is always a first stop upon arrival in Jackson, and the last place before we leave. Their s'mores alone are worth the visit, but take your pick of delicious croissants, baguettes, scones, or cookies. They also serve delicious sandwiches made to order, which is usually what I pick up for the drive out of town. It's a cozy space, so take advantage of the outdoor seating of you want to spread out. The staff is always pleasant and keeps smiling thorough chaos of hungry, bustling customers. A favorite, again and again!

Beautiful and bright Their coffee, a delight The decor is so on trend, I'd come here with a friend. Posting here for the morn Muffin or eggs? I'm torn. The baristas here, so smiley. They go the extra miley.

  • Taylor M.

Dang! Everything was moist and delicious! Loved the almond poppyseed! It had the perfect amount of almond flavor and acidity from I'm guessing lemon juice. The best I've ever had. We also had the strawberry rhubarb pie which is a favorite of mine. Again, this was one of the best I've ever had with the perfect balance of strawberries, rhubarb, cake, and pie crust. Wow! The chocolate cookie we shared was good but not my personal favorite, but the pistachio macaroon I tried was amazing. I've never had macaroons before so I can't say how they compare, but they were crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. Perfect combo! Definitely will be back!

Just went for cookies and breakfast for the next day. Everything we got was amazing. I believe we got chocolate chip, sugar, and some kind of ginger cookies. Would have to make myself stay away. This place is wonderful. Could eat the cookies every day.

Such a cute little bakery and in an amazing location. Great patio but the pastries and coffee left much to be desired. Still would choose this over a chain.

Great stop for breakfast while in the area visiting the Grand Teton national park . The cafe is small but very quant. There pastries are delicious. I had the bread putting french toast with side of sweet potato hash, Both very delicious .

  • Nancy N.

Delicious pastries! And the Croque Madame-where do I start... The best, crustiest, thickest grilled bread topped with Gruyere, ham & sunny-side-up egg. Yummy! The egg sandwich on croissant with egg & cheese-perfect blend of taste sensations! We'll be back!

  • Patrick N.

The staff would rather talk amongst themselves than remember what you ordered. Here is how it plays out: ME: "I'll have a latte and the omelet", Male counter staff: "Ok let me wait until the register opens". The staff whisper to themselves about days off, and other non-professional things, the girl making a latte asks "have all your latte's been bubbly today" Another girl answers "Yeah so ugly". Then the register opens. Male counter staff: "I"m sorry what would you like to order again". I have to repeat the breakfast entree. He then asks what else. I repeat the Latte. This was so cringeworth that even though the food is good, it does not make up for the few abhorrent staff members that act like kids on a playground.

Wow. This is one amazing place in Jackson! Everything was delicious! Even bought food to go. I had breakfast here. The food was delicious and so was the latte. I got a croissant to go and it was amazing... it didn't get to it's destination. The decore in the building is quant. Service was great.

I loved this place! So cozy and quaint! I highly recommend this bakery for a small breakfast/brunch and dessert. Their smore was delicious! I didn't get to try them but their cookies look amazing! There's plenty of outdoor seating but it'll be difficult to find a spot indoors for more than 2 people during brunch hours.

We stopped by for breakfast and it was locket. Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food and good service. We tried the breakfast sandwich, seasonal fruit and granola, scone, cinnamon roll and lemon bread. Between the 5 of us we were very full! Oh and we also got a spot of tea which was in its own teapot and a cute little glass- so charming!

Its a tiny cafe , very ooo-la-la , joie de vivre My wife loved this place. I think its a mega chick place, with tiny spaces and even smaller furniture. I feel like I am having breakfast in a playhouse... If I so much move my elbows , I may knock down a wall. Dudes be forewarned. However, if dudes want to impress a date and show their inner sensitive child.. this would be a good place.. good luck bro.. you can enjoy the aroma of the coffee and also the sea of estrogen. The croissant is good. So is the coffee. But I do feel so outta place here, its a huge girl-den and I feel so many pairs of eyes on me.. was I sipping my coffee to loudly?..

Coffee, bakery, retail. Super cool spot in Jackson. Love the interior. Not just the reclaimed wood and white combo, but the serving dishes and silverware just fit into the vibe they're trying to create. The water cups are super nice enamel cups with a blue rim. They felt amazing... I want a set now. The pastry I got was served on a cool metal dish and thr silverware looked like a cobbled together collection from an antique store or a thrift shop. Now for why it gets only a 3 star review: I chose this shop specifically because they use intelligentsia coffee. And they do. They have the equipment needed to make great coffee, they have a great roaster, and yet their coffee is lacking. Maybe it was just the barista I had, but the espresso was not weighed at any point in the process. Nor was it timed. Espresso is incredibly delicate to pull correctly and consistently yet no metrics were used when pulling the espresso for my cappuccino. Additionally, it was served in a Not Neutral cup (which is standard fare for a shop serving intelligentsia) yet it was in their larger latte cup, not the properly sized cappuccino cup. Additionally, this was the dryest cappuccino I've had anyone in the US. Visible bubbles covered the top of the drink. You have great product, but I feel the training of the baristas are lacking. Beyond that, the banana bread I had was great, the interior was great, and overall had a great vibe. I'd visit again.

Fabulous food and coffee and a lovely outdoor area, but the constant name beckoning by the staff to fill orders is incredibly annoying. "Brittany. Brittany...Brittany. Brittany, granola for Brittany. Brittany?" Ad naseum.

  • Brent B.

Delicious treats and food! The macaroons were delicious! The only negative thing is they had "floral" iced tea, instead of the standard black tea.

Best pastries in town. Croissants, pain au chocolat, croissants aux almonds, are all fantastic

    (5)
  • Cooper B.

Look, this place is very cute and has fine quality food, but I still don't get the non-stop 4 and 5-star reviews. It's quite small and crowded. They have ONE barista trying to make drinks for the constant line of folks coming in ordering coffee drinks. There's practically no place to stand and wait. We waited at least 15 minutes for two simple drinks. The poppyseed muffin and other pastry we got were tasty, but we're not talking leaps and bounds above the norm. (I will say the sweet potato and brussels sprout hash smelled heavenly as it went past us). If you're happy to just hang, or lucky enough to grab a table inside or on the porch, you'll likely enjoy yourself at Persephone. But if you see a line out the door, you may want to try an alternative.

Simply amazing food. Everything we tried on the menu was great. If I lived in Jackson, I would be here a least once a week. My friends in Jackson are currently living that dream for me :) Since I was only there for a week, I went twice.

  • Kelly H.

The BEST and CUTEST little coffee-breakfast place. The staff is friendly, the chocolate chip cookies are to die for and so is everything else on the menu. Reasonably priced too. However, they get pretty busy so be prepared to wait a little bit. Helpful hint: The kitchen closes at 3pm

    (5)
  • Brianna P.

This bakery is more like a cafe--although we only tried their pastries, We could tell that their food is also very good by the wait. Their scones are very moist and tasty (both regular and raisin ones). Their croissants are also very yummy! If i lived in Jackson, I would probably come here everyday to study/work as it is very cute and "hip."

  • Kristi D.

Elegant & sophisticated. This place has something for everyone. Lattes & hot chocolate are amazing. Savory breakfast plates but also good bakery options if you can't wait for meal. Staff is friendly and makes everyone feel taken care of but they only work the counter so be prepared to wait. It's worth the wait!

Amazingly great breakfast! The omelette my wife had was fantastic! I had a fresh homemade muffin which was amazing! Coffee was great. This was one of the best breakfasts wehave ever had on the road!

  • Laura C.

This place is awesome! I found it on pinterest before our trip and made it a mandatory stop. I had the bread pudding french toast and a mimosa for breakfast which was AMAZING. Other people in my group had chicken salad which was also delicious. On the way out I got a black pepper and cheddar scone and some sort of flaky sugar pastry (i wish I remembered the name of it) which were also both great. It was a hit all around and I wish there was one in my hometown!

  • Mark A.

My wife and I came for breakfast and were very impressed. We had lattes and croissants. The croissants were as good as any we've had in Paris--very light and flaky. The decore is charming as well. One thing that non-locals should know is that the items on the chalk board behind the counter is just a fraction of what is served. They have menus on the wall just inside the front door and it's easy to miss. Our only complaint is that the service wasn't friendly at all. I never saw either of the gals at the counter smile to a customer. When I asked if I could have a sandwich ordered to go, she told me that isn't done before 10:30.

  • Chris C.

This place is amazing. Prob the best place I have been in Jackson. I honestly thought that the food scene in Jackson was pretty weak, but Persephone really made me second guess my prior experiences. One of the best bakeries I have eaten at outside of Paris.

If you like baked goods best place in Jackson and maybe Wyoming. Coffee also excellent and service quick and happy.

  • Aaron W.

Excellent bakery. The cinnamon croissant I had was a perfect blend of soft and crunchy goodness. The ambiance is very welcoming from the staff to the outside seating. The bathroom was the nicest, cleanest bathroom I've ever been in at a restaurant. It's so nice they could move a table in there & I'd have no problem eating in there. Chocolate Chip cookie was first rate. Can't wait to go back.

Everything on the breakfast menu is incredible. The skillet and omelet were on the smaller side, but left me not overly full. Breakfast sandwich is much larger.

  • Josie S.

I am only giving four stars because of service. The food is definitely five stars. I'll give you the cons first. They gave my husband his drip coffee right away but not my iced coffee. They gave no indication of whether or not I should wait for it, so after a while of standing there, I asked a different server and she looked around then said, "we'll call your name and bring it to you." After finishing our cinnamon bun appetizer, I went back in to check. The ticket was clearly still sitting in the kitchen, and the server I asked got it for me then. Just a little annoying. A similar issue: they have self-serve water and ran out at some point. My husband just stood there looking forlorn, but he didn't actually ask anyone for help, for the record. I'd say both of these issues are due to how busy the cafe is and is something you should just expect. The pros: beautiful, charming atmosphere inside and out. Drop coffee is high quality. Iced coffee, ditto. We got the same thing because we're weird like that, but it was amazing. Herbed omelet with broccoli, carmelized onions, and gruyere. Side of lightly fried sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts. No complaints here. If you're local or traveling with your dog(s), the patio is dog friendly! I highly recommend, just keep in mind the cafe style and busy servers.

Enjoyed a perfectly flaky almond croissant and a macchiato on their wonderful outdoor deck before the farmer's market. The line was out the door, and after tasting the pastry, it was easy to see why. Intelligentsia Coffee was great, but I would have much preferred a local roaster - Jackson has plenty who blow Intelligentsia out of the water. The macchiato itself was perfectly made however, a real rarity these days.

  • Sean C.

We stopped in here around 9ish on a Sunday, and the line was out the door. We just wanted some coffee, pastries and what have you. When it was our turn, I politely ordered coffee, a breakfast sandwich and croissants. The server seemed affronted, and said I had to first order coffee, then pastries, THEN items from the kitchen. I had no idea what the protocol was, or why it would make the slightest difference. As it happened, even when ordered in the correct order, they had to ask for clarification three times to get the order right. To be fair, the food ranged from ok (cheese and pepper scone) to excellent (egg sandwich with ham). The thing is, if you require patrons, even first-timers, to abide by a set of specific and eccentric rules for ordering, you should probably put up a sign to explain it, rather than chastising customers. 4 stars for food, 1 star for making it hard for customers to order before they have coffee in their hands.

  • Devon R.

I LOVE this everything about this place. It is adorable and delicious. Every bakery, breakfast and lunch menu item I've tried is really good. They have a great outdoor seating + cute indoor decor. I especially love the croissant and egg sandwich. Can't wait to come back.

  • Leslie O.

I've never encountered an issue with there being too many Leslies in one place but that's no real issue with the bakery of course. The food is fantastic, fresh and well-made. An abundance of outdoor seating in a quiet shady courtyard is incredibly welcome any time of the day. The staff is friendly and works quickly. I will be back.

Love this place. Super freshly baked pastries and the ambience. Didn't quite enjoy the scone but I applaud the cleverness and courage to try something new.

We were in Jackson last summer for family vacation. I consulted Yelp (of course!) for breakfast options as we enjoy trying local eateries rather than the usual hotel restaurant run-of-the mill fare. Persephone was top of the list so we stopped in and oh my! What a delightful little Frenchy French bakery in the midst of Westernville! With sparkly clean white decor and quaint little outside deck facing the square, Persephone met the initial desire for ambience. Now on to the food...it was here that I discovered a previously unknown treasure called a Kouign Amann. To describe it as a croissant-like texture sprinkled with sugar doesn't do it justice; you'll just have to try it for yourself. Paired with their Intelligentsia latte and a shady spot on the deck with my daughter for company, I had one one of the most satisfying vacation moments of our trip! To be fair, as one reviewer previously noted, boys MIGHT find this place a bit more girl-friendly. My husband and son took their pastries to go and went exploring manly shops on the square. However, I saw plenty of men enjoying Persephone's offerings and my men did love their food! We did go back a second day on our way out of town, too! If I could persuade the Persephone folks to build a second location in my town, I would eat Kouign Amann (or anything else they created) every day.

The food and coffee are great . If you are going to pick up a few confectionery delights, the service is speedy. However, if you are planning on staying for brunch, be prepared to wait awhile. It is worth it. While you're waiting, please remember that you're not the most important person in the world. Everyone else is waiting too. Your food will be served, and it will be delicious.

Inventive and delicious place. Mortadella sandwich was in interesting take on a Reuben made with prosciutto and ciabatta rather than corned beef and rye. Coffee very good. Other plates delicious as well. Baked good looked amazing although we did not partake.

Loved this place! Super quaint yet modern. Pastries were delicious -- we had the granola scone and gluten free chocolate chip cookie. Their breakfast dishes are yummy but very hardy and rich. Good quality coffee. Little pricey but totally worth it. Get ready to get cozy with strangers because the place is small and always crowded.

If you are in Jackson, or NEAR Jackson, and don't come here - you are a fool. Persephone is located at the end of a downtown street in Jackson, a little bit away from the touristy hustle and bustle and is honestly one of my favorite bakeries I have ever visited (which is way too many.) It's located in a quaint old white house that has been restored and modernized. The interior is done so well, I can't even handle it. It's bright, fresh, clean and modern - with just a touch of a rustic/mountain/jackson feeling. The baked goods in the morning are piled high and are literally so hard to resist. I had to limit myself to getting breakfast and a couple smores cookies to enjoy later. I have heard that they do not replenish as the day goes on, and after 2pm, they are out of many things (so, go before noon if you want a pastry, tea cake or cookie!) We had breakfast and it was so simple and delicious. I had the omelette with broccoli and sauteed onions, my mom had the Croque Madame, and my dad had the herb skillet. All were equally fresh and didn't taste heavy or unhealthy. Everything was plated beautifully and we all wanted more. My omelette came with a side of crunchy brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes (a hash kind of) that I am still dreaming about it! As every place is not amazing all around, I will say that the service wasn't the best. The girls working the counter were a bit rude, but again, could have been an isolated reason and it did not cause me to enjoy this place any less. Also - I wish the cute items to buy against the wall were priced - I had to ask how much things were, and the girl working seemed extremely annoyed. Do yourself a favor, go to Persephone!

Great coffee-great pastries-cute atmosphere- and a 5 star is allusive only due to the extremely cramped quarters. Having your morning coffee here is like sitting in a doll house. Very hard to find space to add sugar and cream-super small spaces between the tables-mercy me. Perhaps forgo the atmosphere with takeout. Sadly, much of the allure would be lost

We ate here five times during our week stay in Jackson. The food is excellent, and the service is efficient and friendly.

  • Carl P.

Wonderful and quaint atmosphere. The bread pudding french toast were perfect. Hot chocolate with vanilla or peppermint marshmallow was delightful. I have one complaint... I prepaid and left a 15% tip but had to get up to retrieve my drink, get my own silverware, get napkins and bus my own table. What's the tip for if it's a self service place?

Food was ok. Service was slow, staff was rude, and food arrived cold. Would recommend The Bunnery instead.

The savory breakfast croissants (the ham and cheese variety was flaky and flavorful) and dessert (try the lemon ricotta tart) are awesome. The almond croissants are light, but too light on the almond paste (load it up and distribute it more evenly). Good, strong coffee, which can be sweetened with homemade vanilla syrup (yes, please). Welcoming space (pristine (white) rustic-country chic). Friendly, personable and efficient staff (folksy-fabulous). Overall, a great spot that will undoubtedly enjoy longevity due to its recipe for success.

My sister, a Jackson local, picked out this fine location to do lunch today. It was perfection! It was one of those meals where the portion sizing is just right - not too big - and you savor every single bite along the way. The herbed omelette was a vegetarian's dream, and I am now determined to recreate the delectable mornay sauce drizzled over it, as well as the bowl of roasted brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes WOW. Pricing is very reasonable for the incredible flavor. They also have a variety of goods for sale that caught my eye: raw honeys, mugs, kitchen accessories, etc. Take a moment to add your personal type-written note to the back hallway. Overall, the ambience is lovely and the dishes are fantastic.

This place is just adorable. The baked goods and coffee are on point. When we went, my husband and I got 2 cookies, an almond crossaint, a s'more, and a almond strawberry tart with a latte. Everything was fantastic. Can't recommend this place enough.

  • Scott M.

Amazing! We stopped in a few times. Lunch and snack. What a great creative tasty delight. Latte's are perfectly served. Bakery goods are off the chart, had the lemon tart and a carmel pastry. Also for lunch had the trout salad and chicken salad sandwich. Such fresh tasting flavorful delights. A must have stop if you are in the area.

When I lived in Jackson Hole I would occasionally (ok, maybe more than that) treat myself to Persephone cinnamon rolls - they are amazing! Now Persephone has opened a small restaurant just off of the town square. I met some girlfriends for lunch. The salads and sandwiches were all delicious, freshly prepared and unique. I had the roasted cauliflower salad and added roasted chicken salad ($6 extra). A bit pricey, but worth every penny. They also have great coffee drinks and of course decadent desserts. The cookies are worth every calorie too!

We rolled in for Brunch. Drea, the manager, is the best! Order at the counter and they serve you. We sat out on the patio on a beautiful early afternoon. Nice choice of breakfast entrees. I had a cheesy frenchy omelette with sweet potato Brussels sprouts hash (very tasty). We also had a croissant egg sandwich and an asparagus frittata. Used to be a coffee shop. These have a good thing going. Jackson has a bunch of eateries, Persephone's is one of the most enjoyable. Keep it up.

Everything was great about this place (ambiance, attention to detail, coffee, generous bloody mary's, cleanliness of place, friendliness of staff), but I'm taking one star off because the food still left something to be desired. I'm not saying it was bad, it was simply OK. And when everything else is perfect about the place, it saddened me that the food was also not perfect. Am I being to harsh? Maybe, but in order to get that 5th star, the food (which many think is the MOST important part of the meal) should be the show-stealer. Anyways, I will be back since I still really enjoyed the rest of the meal.

Delicious way to start my day in the Tetons...good coffee...lovely breakfast sandwich...and an absolutely STELLAR almond croissant that I saved for my afternoon snack. That alone would be worth driving across state lines for.

Great for breakfast! They have an amazing deck to sit on that allows dogs and it's a self-bussing restaurant. The decor is super cute and great for friends/family. I have only had the Croque Madame and the breakfast sandwich with bacon - both delicious! The coffee is also fantastic; make sure to pay for extra refills when you buy!

This little shop is gorgeous and serves superb coffees, and just in case you have the sweet nibbles - amazing baked goods as well. (We didn't have time to sample all the lunch goodies, but judging by the numbers of folks pouring in and sitting on the outdoor deck - the menu must be great.) Free wifi, and a large cuppa coffee, with the housemade "s'more" and i was in heaven. White walls with wooden spoon collage, old-style hanging lamps, and an antique typewriter you can use to post a love note to Persephone! Fun gift items line small shelves, and all in all, a great little stop, or better yet, a long one!

What a great find! I think I stopped here every day I was in Jackson last week! The creative backed goods were perfectly prepared and presented. The croissants were buttery and crisp. The cookies were rich and tasty. And, most importantly, the espresso was also rich and creamy.

There are no words to describe my love for Persephone's! Best girl's day activity in town. I highly recommend the hot chocolate and a macron. The cutest atmosphere, the sweetest service, and the best hot chocolate I've had in my entire life. Lovelovelove!

Just stopped in to pick up a couple pastries to go. Raspberry/pistachio tart was great...cinnamon bun also very good....other things looked tasty, too.

Wow, just walked out of this bakery feeling light on my feet and light in the head. Their intelligentsia coffee is second to none and I recommend the cappuccinos. The pastries are almost too much to take in. I enjoyed the Almond one which reminded me of a bakery I used to frequent in Buenos Aires. If you don't get a pastry, you can just avoid gluten the rest of your life then because these pastries are incredible. One thing I didn't like is the seating and space. The tables are cramped and the seats- while stylish are not made for sitting for more than forty five minutes- they are all hard wood. This is a must visit for coffee aficionados who are visiting town.

Nice little bakery with delightful and tasty items. A "must" in Jackson. If you like hot chocolate, give it a try. Very distinctive and rich enough for royalty!

My family loves this bakery. The coffee is exceptional (iced vanilla latte if you're splurging!) All syrups are made in house. Almond croissant and egg breakfast sandwich are both out of this world delicious. This is the go to breakfast spot for locals. (The inside is a little tight as far as seating, and not the best place for kids due to the confined indoor seating). The outdoor deck with seating and tables is great during the summer.

This place has food that I crave when I go home. The chocolate croissants, cinnamon rolls and the cookies. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. The chocolate chip and walnut cookies are over an inch thick. They put salt on the top and it might sound odd but the salty and sweet really works.

I came here after lunch with a group of 5 based on the recommendation of one of my friends. This place was crowded and cramped when we came here in the afternoon. But I thought the taste of the food made up for that. I ended up getting a peanuty-chocolate tart for dessert and it was delish. They were kind enough to find a bag and set of plastic utensils for me so I could bring it back home.

You have got to love a place that has the best gluten free chocolate chip walnut cookie. #FODMAP Friendly.

When you are in Jackson this is one of the best bakeries. The baguette is amazing and is super fresh and crunchy outside with a chewy middle. The employees are so nice after one of them banged the side of our desert she gave us a mint chocolate macaron for free. The mint chocolate macaron is packed with mint and a delicious chocolate filling. This bakery has taken the S'mores to a heavenly level. Freshly made graham cracker squares encase soft fluffy fresh marshmallow and then this is dipped in a first rate dark chocolate. Heavenly ? Yes! Scouts take note you may have given the world S'mores but Persephone has taken S'mores to a "hole" new galaxy.

Delicious coffee from Intelligentsia. Loved the decor, clean and sleek with vintage lampheads. My husband had the sticky cinnamon bun and I had the truffled baked eggs. The cinnamon bun was quite good. However, they forgot to put my egg order in and we had to wait an extra 20 minutes. The egg also did not come out fully cooked. Stick with baked goods. And coffee.

Great coffee and tea options. Fantastic pastries so many it's hard to decide what to pick. A great spot to sit and people watch enjoying your morning coffee

Persephone is the first true French Bakery in Jackson Hole. It is very difficult to perfect a true loaf of crusty French bread at this altitude, and Persephone ha found the way! Also serves mostly organic breakfasts and lunches. Do not miss the Morning Glory Muffin....filled with nuts, fruit and seeds it is a Winner!

Cute and cozy with a European touch to it! The coffee is really good and the croissants too! Didn't try their breakfast but friends love it and their levain bread is good too!

Unbelievable! If you've been to France for croissants or Tartine in SF for bread or morning rolls, then you'll know what to expect. Nice little menu, people dedicated to high quality. Great atmosphere as well. Nice for breakfast, lunch or just to treat yourself...

May be the best pastries and scones I have ever had. A beautiful seating area that is dog friendly. We had a wonderful time string outside enjoying their delicious food and coffee. Don't miss out on this gem of Jackson Hole.

First of all, this is by far the cutest bakery I have ever been to. I am sad that I only discovered this bakery on my last day in Jackson. I went there twice that day. The chai latte is spicy and not too sweet. The caramel latte was fab. The croissant-type muffin (Queen____) is laced with sugar and its delicious essence will haunt me until we meet again. *Should have bought the homemade marshmallows... regret!

Hands down one of my favorite places! Such a delightful experience and great start to our day in Jacksonhole! Atmosphere was tasetfully done - fresh, light, and airy with a rustic feel- seating inside and outside. Food was fresh and the flavors most certainly did not dissapoint! Oh and you must try the beet chips! If you're seeking a wonderful breakfast, lunch, or just tea & coffee experience in the heart of Jacksonhole, this place is a must!

Stopped in Jackson on our way through to Yellowstone and decided to look up a bakery where we could pick up some goods to go to share for the day ahead. First impression, the place was BEAUTIFUL! Looked like a trendy place I could find back home in LA, and the outside patio was incredible. Inside was decorated beautifully- and the pastries smelt divine. Was a little loud but thats the product of a busy place! We ordered a chocolate croissant, ham and cheese croissant, the one with caramelized sugar (cant recall the name) a flakey cinnamon roll, peanut butter and toffee cookie and 4 of what I assume to be huckleberry macaroons? The croissants were so airy and buttery, some of the best I've probably ever had. The cookie was super soft and had the perfect balance of sweet and salty! The cinnamon roll was a huge highlight for me- flakey, not dense at all and not overpoweringly sweet. Macaroons were nice, had a lovely flavor! Came away spending $24 which I thought was more than fair! If we had a bit more time I would have loved to stay for breakfast as everything coming out looked great, but was overall very pleased with our choices.

Such a cute and inviting café! Their cookies and pastries are absolutely to die for. I only wish Persephone had another store outside of Jackson and right around the corner of my neighborhood. I will definitely always come here for a quick bite, coffee, or sweets if I'm in town!

Fantastic bakery! After trying nearly every other coffee shop in Jackson for breakfast we finally landed here and we were glad we did. Excellent coffee, incredible pastries and entrees. Don't leave without trying a cinnamon roll!

Kouign Amann's in Jackson Hole. This little hot spot is right next to the square. I recommend going here for breakfast and then heading over into the square to check out the farmer's market and some shopping. Persephone bakes all their breads in house, including my favorite, the kouign amann, which a is a sweetened croissant. There are a lot other goodies - sweet and savory for you to try. They also have baked truffle eggs, croissant sandwiches, croque monsieur, sticky cinnamon buns, and more. I also love the outside seating. They have several communal style picnic tables where you can enjoy your treats, read your newspaper, or chat with friends.

I bought Persephone baguettes from local grocers long before word came of a bakery opening, so I was very excited to try their other pastry and breakfast/lunch/espresso options. The café itself is adorable, location is great. The coffee is tasty, as are their teas. For food items, I've sampled the turkey croque monsieur, chicken panzanella salad for lunch, and their granola parfait and "cinnamon roll" for breakfast. Everything was tasty, however the turkey was a bit dry on the sandwich but the chutney was delicious. The cinnamon roll was crunchy and flakey with cinnamon sugar, not really at all what I would consider an American "cinnamon roll" but was yummy nonetheless. The S'mores cookies as well as any other cookies go fast-and with good reason! They are amazing. They also have cupcakes and French macarons, which I haven't had a chance to try yet. I took a star off for one reason, the ordering/menu/delivery of food could be so much better. They seriously need to re-consider this system. If you are going to order at the counter, they need to hand out little number signs for your table so the food-runners can easily find you without yelling out numbers and having you dig up your receipt to remember your order number. Also, there is only one small menu printed on paper all the way at the counter so you have to wait until you're close enough to read it and then you have to decide really fast so you don't hold up the line. They need to put a large menu behind the counter or have a chalkboard sign - anything. That would be my only complaint. The service is helpful and friendly.

You know when every best rated restaurant In town is using your bread you know what your doing. Everything on the menu and in the cases was a not to miss. Kept coming back for more, don't miss this Jewell!

Waited 10+ minutes for the most expensive latte ever-- that was finally served to me cold with some vanilla syrup in it. And no I did not pick up the wrong cup; it had my name on it. Ugh - all I wanted was to treat myself after drinking bad motel coffee for a week. Lesson learned - never tip up front.

First time here! Had a great cappuccino and a lovely piece of almond strawberry tart. The store front is tight so there is not a lot of room to move around while your waiting for your drink.

We stopped in to get some snacks for our road trip to Yellowstone. We tried the croissants, chocolate croissants, almond croissants, kouign amann, and the black-pepper cheddar scones. Everything was delicious! We went back a second time to buy some for our trip back home. Definitely worth stopping in if you're visiting Jackson!

One of the best bakeries anywhere in the world, I've eaten in SF, NYC, Paris, etc. and Persephone match up in both taste and quality. If I live in Jackson I would come to this place regularly!

Great atmosphere, great food and service. Only reason for less than five stars is slight disorganization which I think is a result of being more popular than expected. All around, I would visit again.

The best bakery in Jackson, hands down. Really the only place to find croissants, muffins, cookies & more all in one place. Breakfast & lunch menus will please foodies particularly. Decent price points for what you get. Adorable, light atmosphere, great porch in summer. Can be a bit crowded, extra hard to find a seat in winter. I wish their larger baked goods (cakes, bags of cookies, etc) were a bit cheaper.

Cute little bakery with sandwiches. Had a wonderful curried chicken sandwich served on a sourdough roll. It came with chips. For dessert had a wonderful chocolate chip cookie. Yum. Best lunch in Jackson!

I was having lunch with a friend at Persephone and was disappointed to see that a dog was allowed on the premises. Some people are highly allergic to dogs, some people are afraid of dogs and some simply do not like dogs. I'll not return unless dogs are banned from the premises.

We were hot after walking around town shopping and gallery hopping, so we stopped into the Persephone Bakery on the spur of the moment for a cold drink. Truly enjoyable and relaxing to sip ginger pear plum iced tea at the outside seating area and people watch. We couldn't resist ordering the last pistachio macaron and were not disappointed! Stop in for a beverage and a sweet!

Everything is simply perfect at this new and beloved spot in our little town. The baguettes are crusty and fresh. The pastries perfect. The coffee well- roasted. The places has a lot of well thought out details. Nothing was overlooked here. Not the environment. Not the foodt. I love and crave the baked truffle egg dish and for lunch, the beet salad. The tea is served with a beautiful presentation. Even the silverware looks vintage and carefully chosen.

I would go back to Jackson just to get to Persephone. This was not only one of my favorite spots in Jackson, but one of my favorite bakeries in recent memory, and the coffee was awesome. Great food and a very cool patio, highly recommend it.

The coffee is nice and strong as I like it and the sweet rolls are great. The staff could be a little nicer to it's guest but overall it's a good place to get coffee and baked good while you're in town.

I was so happy when I learned that Persephone Bakery was going to open a store front in downtown Jackson! For years I have been a fan of their breads which I bought from local grocery stores but now I can enjoy not only their fabulous breads but amazing pastries and coffees! The ambiance which the owners created is fantastic. Inside is warm and welcoming and the outside offers a huge patio which is wonderful for relaxing so you can enjoy downtown Jackson.

Wow, if you are anywhere in the Jackson proximity Persephone is a must. The coffee is strong without being too overwhelming and the food is beyond fresh. I got the panzanella salad which was delicious, featuring crisp, surprisingly flavorful baguette chunks. My mom and I also shared a chocolate chip cookie that quickly made it's way onto my top 5 list of favorite cookies. This little boulangerie is a gem.
