Recommended by Yelp and the matron of the motel we stayed at, I decided to give this place a go. Walked in and was promptly seated. Took a gander at the menu - kinda. The room where I was seated was a little dark. Luckily I had a lamp behind me and by leaning back and holding the menu just right I could read it. Nice selection, had a little of everything. Since I was on vacation I decided to splurge and get the "Plum Pork Shank". Description indicated that it was Osso Bucca, then thrown on the grill and given a plum glaze. Served with crispy mashed potatoes, soup or salad and fresh bread. Bread - excellent. Salad - not too bad. Potatoes - different and very good. Pork shank - WOW! Served in the "new" stack everything style (not a fan), there was at least 6 inches of glazed goodness resting on a bed of mashed potatoes, with red and green peppers spread around the outside. Meaty, juicy, fall off the bone. Need I say more? At $18 I felt that it was a pretty good deal. The only reason for knocking a star off was the service. There were three girls working. One was keeping drinks filled, one was hosting and bussing, and the third was the only one apparently serving and taking money. Needless to say the service was a little slow, but if you're not in a big hurry, this is a good place to go in Greybull.

Stopped here on the way to Yellowstone and it was great. I got the tamale + enchilada - delicious - and my gf got the quesadilla (she loved it).

Excellent lunch spot to fill a belly after a long hike in the mountains! Everyone in our party enjoyed their sandwiches/burgers, the place is very clean (including the bathrooms), and the service was friendly. The homemade breads are amazing, and the fresh-cut fries and chips were delicious. This is the place to eat in Greybull.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Lisa's in Greybull, Wyoming. Of particular note was the plum glazed pork shank. Absolutely delicious!! And just to give some perspective, we live in northeast New Jersey outside NYC where great food is plentiful. This place rivals what we are used to. Highly recommend.

Stopped here based on Yelp reviews, we both had the farmers pasta which was tasty peppers and tomatoes over spaghetti. Several flies in the restaurant were annoying. The waiter was friendly and fast. The side salad was good but not worth the price.

Wow! Glad we stopped in Graybull to eat! My wife had a sirloin with "mashies", I had the "best in the west chicken fry". Both were great! I was shocked at the size of the chicken fry - made from same sirloin as my wife's. "Mashies" are amazing. Soups were good too.

Food was average. Service was great. We got the pork loin Parmesan and stuffed chicken breast. Pork loin looked more like a pork chop, and chicken breast was coated in a weird herb that didn't taste good. Additionally the French onion soup came out in a mug (with croutons as the bread), which resulted in a salty soup.

It was okay...not sure if there are a lot of choices here. Burger was burnt, fries were over done. The soda was flat. Waitress was slow and unattentive-we waited about ten minutes for her to take our check back after she dropped it off. For the lack of options it was ok. But otherwise I would never go here.

We stopped at Lisa's on our way from Yellowstone. Service was a bit slow at first, but the food was plentiful and delicious. The chimney rock burger is excellent, especially with the chipotle sauce! Would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.

This was the only place open, the day we pulled into town. We are from Southern CA. The website had very little information (no hours or menu,) and Yelp said the place was closed on Sunday, too, but the RV park we were staying at, assured us that they were open. The food was so good. You must try the Peppercorn Parmesan salad dressing (homemade.) The kids had fettuccine alfredo, (not the usual preparation,) and they all loved it. My youngest is still talking about the shrimp scampi. I had lime chili salmon, and my husband had the Wayne's World Pork Chop. We tried some local beer, Speedgoat, which was so great, too. It seemed expensive for the area, but the food was so surprisingly good, it was worth it. The only criticism I would have is the place isn't too tightly run. The waitress, while super sweet and friendly, didn't know a lot about their menu. Our food came in shifts, so the first two kids got and finished their food, before our youngest received his. Then mine came about five minutes later, and my husband got his another five minutes after that. If this place focused on the business side of things, they would be amazing.

Stopped in for dinner on a Monday night. Had a small serving of the farmers pasta without the jalapeños. It was just right! The chicken quesadilla without the jalapeños was also good. The service was very good and the restaurant was clean and comfortable.

The service was a little slow but food great! Staff was very nice. The steak fries were only a few but still good.

This is the place to find good food, great service and comfy ambiance. I have had most of the items on the menu and they are all satisfying and delicious. This is truly the place where the locals go for a great meal!

Delicious. A must stop if you are hungry and within 500 miles of Greybull Wyoming! I got the chipotle ancho fricassee - Tender chicken in a cream pepper sauce. I basically licked my plate clean! Great range of beers available on tap - from Bud Light to Salmon Fly to 1554. Friendly wait staff to get you whatever you need. I had my second refreshment before my first was gone!

My husband had tamales & enchilada, I had Tajano quesadilla - both were not the greatest dish ever but very decent. Definitely not a bad place to stop by on the road.

Lisa's is some of the best food in the area - my favorites are the chile rellenos, farmer's pasta and the nutty chicken salad. They make everything from scratch and it really shows. Their bar is good too - beer on tap, mixed drinks, etc. It's a little dark in there - but that's nice when it's cold outside and the fire is going. Overall, a great choice for local food done well.

Exactly what we needed. We had spent the day driving through Yellowstone, and decided to stop in Greybull to avoid driving over the mountains at night. We looked at Yelp once we finally got cell service and saw that Lisa's was the place to be in Greybull. The hostess was perky and nice, and happy to make a few suggestions when we asked. She suggested the farmer's pasta, which looked amazing (but I'm not a big pasta eater) and a chicken/vegetable dish which also looked great. Boyfriend went for the burger, which was fantastic according to him. I had the tamale/enchilada plate which was also great. They were each smothered in a tasty pork chili and it came with a side of pureed, spicy salsa. The enchilada was great - filled with juicy, slow-roasted chicken, while the beef tamale was show-stopping. I had been searching for amazing Mexican food this entire road trip, and who knew I would find it in Wyoming? Overall, Greybull was adorable and just what we weary travelers needed. I highly recommend a stop at Lisa's if you're driving through.

It's not often you find yourself in a small town with a really good restaurant. This is it. Moose Drool beer on tap and by the pitcher. Great burger. Best part of my meal was the wait staff. The fireplace didn't have a fire going so I asked if I could get one going. My waitress told me to build a fire if I wanted one. I took her up on the offer and and made a nice little fire. That is down home.

This place has great food. My mom had a chicken salad and the chicken was so tender. Me and my dad had sirloin, and it's fantastic, albeit a little undercooked. My only gripe is the service, they are understaffed so our waitress didn't visit that often and we had to wait a bit too long for refills and our bill

If you ever have the fortune of being in this part of one of the finest states in the union, you have to stop here to eat. The food is great and the staff is friendly. If you like pasta, get the Farmer's pasta. It's very flavorful and a bit spicy....perfect. The salad is also great topped with homemade croutons. I have yet to eat anything here that I didn't like, and I've eaten here a lot. . . .this is my home town. Anytime I go back to visit God's country, I eat here. 5 stars!!

Well, THAT was a good breakfast. My family enjoyed a terrific meal at this restaurant today, spurred on by a write-up in "Roadfood." My huevos rancheros was a triple stack of tortillas, perfect eggs over-easy, cheeses and beans, topped with a salsa with a hint of green chilis, and surrounded by hash browns. My wife sampled the corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, and a tortilla-based casserole as part of a morning breakfast buffet -- all terrific. Worth saving your appetite for en route to/from Yellowstone.

I was driving through Wyoming two years ago on a road trip and my friend and I happened to stop in here based on an internet recommendation from roadfood.com What I ordered has haunted me ever since. It was a fricasee of some sort and was so rich with flavor that I couldn't deal. Even now, from way out here in Los Angeles, I think of it. Has it been exaggerated in my memory? Maybe. But that doesn't make me any less homicidal about it. For the only time in my life, I asked if I could meet the chef afterward. They obliged, and she was a sweet, unassuming woman who seemed both unsettled by our praise and in some humble way not in the least surprised by it. Conversation was rough, and at some point she rudely insulted California, which seemed uncalled for. Now, more than two years later, I can see her point.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
