And I thought I was gonna be the first Yelper to comment on this place. If you drive through wyoming on 80, you'll know it's about 400 miles of not all that much. Green River was about as picturesque as it got. And Arctic Circle, a place we stumbled on by mistake was our reward for not finding the McDonald's sign as we exited. This place is just off N 5th on E. Flaming George Lane across the street from some old run down office buidling. The service is very amiable. You'll actually have the opportunity to interact with a rarity: someone from Wyoming, the least populated state in the US. The fries are made with Yukon Gold potatos. I thought that was interesting. They do specialize in burgers and fries, but I managed to have a halibut sandwich that wasn't all that bad. They even put tomatos on in for me when I asked for it. An intriguing anomaly of Arctic Circle is that they did not have any ketchup in the container, but next to it was a "fry sauce" container. It's a light pinkish/orange color with a very smooth texture. Probably Thousand Island dressing? The service was very kind as the young lady who brought the burger to me on a tray apologized to me for the delay because she dropped the first one. All in all, after a long 400 mile drive from Elko just to get here, it was a very nice break point, still 488 miles from my single day destination of North Plate, Nebraska.

This is one of the worst places I've ever stepped foot in. As we walk in, there is one family sitting at a booth, normal. We walk to the register and ask the girl what's good on the menu and she says nothing. Should have left. Regret not doing it. I blame my friends. Two of us ordered a double cheese burger combo and the other a bacon cheese burger. All were done astonishingly quick. The "meat" used to make these burgers was very obviously cooked earlier in the day then quickly reheated once our order was put in. They weren't hot at all. The French fries were the same, stale and reheated. After one bite of our meals we all thought the same thing. Is it alright to throw up on the plastic tray they served our food on? After the second bite we put our food in the trash can aka recyclable food container and left. I'd rather eat my dog's food than ever walk into this place again. Embarrassing. Shut it down.

If you were to ask my brother and I what we remembered most about our road trip, it would be Artic Circle. We've talked about hopping in the car just for a return trip so we could confirm what our memories recall about our amazing dinner here. Mmmmm mm mmm. It was the best burger and fry meal that I've had in a LONG time. The fries were phenomenal, the burger was PERFECT. and when I began waxing poetic about this amazing experience to someone I found that they too have nothing but wonderful things to say about Artic Circle. As fast-food aficionados, we know mediocre fast food and we know decent fast food.... this, my friends, is FANTASTIC fast food.

Angus burger with pastrami. Fry sauce not ketchup. Delicious! for fast food, was better than McDonalds (which is nearby). Go here instead, you wont be disappointed. Bear in mind that this is fast food, but it is good stuff, your not going to a super nice restaurant.

I Stopped off in Arctic Circle in Green River, WY pretty much right after knocking off the 2013 Run with the Horses marathon and redeemed a free burger. There was a coupon in my race packet for one, so I was like, score! Glad to know that the Arctic Burger location was on Flaming Gorge Way, the main artery that connects Green River with the I-80. First impressions were basically like with any fast food restaurant. Not impressed basically. Just wanted that free burger before heading back to Salt Lake City, UT that day, with a bruised ego and my finisher's medallion for a crazy day. I don't know whether or not Arctic Burger is a chain restaurant or not, but it wasn't as good as I expected it to be. Maybe I'm schooled in the classic giants: McDonalds, Burger King, among others. This restaurant is relatively small and it was your basic fast food restaurant. The basic set up is there and the menu was decent, but not as extensive, as the others are. Can't say anything else, but this place is A-ok for first impressions. I got the basic combo that they have and paid the difference for the French fries and the drink, which was cool. The service was stereotypical, I guess when it comes to the fast food industry. The prices here are kind of competitive versus their competitors. Pretty sure that Arctic Circle is a regional brand and hope they continue to grow. I didn't think much of this visit, since it was just a quick in an out, just like many of us who do that for Starbucks and McDonalds, among other places on a daily basis. This restaurant is clean pretty much and the staff here at the counter was good and expected. I didn't dine in, but maybe I should've. I was in a rush to get back to Salt Lake City, UT for a dinner party, where a bunch of friends ran the 2013 Park City (UT) marathon. Networking rocks. :0) Overall, its always nice to try new places while on vacation. Coming to Green River and being at Arctic Circle through the eyes of Yelp helps me in many ways. It's great! While I haven't had the best experience here, it was good to try, rather than dismissing AC altogether and go to McDonalds or Burger King first. Support local! C

The burgers are little to desire. Very rubbery with little taste but put a lot of the amazing fry sauce (mayo, ketchup) and you got a good burger. The fries are very good. Good place to stop by if hungry and need food quick.

Not sure why this is listed as "Mexican" food. I was intrigued to see a Mexican place rated as 4-stars in this TINY town along I-80 so we decided to stop by for dinner. First impression: oh wow. another fast food joint. But I really judged it too soon. Overall this is a pretty legit little place for fast food. Their fish sandwich was easily the best fish sandwich I have EVER had at a fast food joint, also they have sweet potato fries, how can you go wrong there. This place is just SO wierd though. It looks like it was originally some sort of cowboy/western themed fast food joint and then they were bought or something and renamed "Arctic Circle" which I cannot for the life of me figure out what that means. It for some reason retains pictures of old west stuff on the walls along with one single table with saddles instead of stools (which is actually totally cool in the corniest way possible) OH! other plus, not sure if we just stuck out THAT much as out of towners or what but the guy actually brought our food out to us at the table we were sitting and chatting at. Can't remember if I have EVER had that happen at a fast food joint.

the strawberry cheesecake milkshake I had from here a few days ago was memorable... unfortunately had already eaten so I didn't even notice the other menu items... would've definitely tried the halibut thing or the sweet potato fries they were offering... the kids table had western saddles for seats... awesome!
