Mitchell's on Stillwater has been closed permanently, which surprised me because they were busy, having the support of the military in the area. Mitchells downtown is still open and serve great BBQ & fried catfish, along with a good variety of sandwiches & sides.

My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and I had the brisket sandwich. Pork was on a regular bun while my brisket was on white bread. The combo came with chips and a pop, which was fine. It would have been nice to have a homemade side like cole slaw or something instead of chips. I don't like white bread, but I didn't see a different choice. I got extra pickles, which was a great choice. They came arranged on the top of the sandwich in a cute design. Overall, the food looked meh. That said, my husband liked his pork. My brisket was really, really, really good. Like, really good. Tender and tasty. I had extra sauce, which I recommend. I thought the price was a bit high, but it ended up being our best food experience in Cheyenne. The service was super friendly. They checked on us a few times and treated us like they knew us.

My entire family loves Mitchell's BBQ. The BBQ is phenomenal. I love the brisket and the Slawpy Hawg. My husband is a fan of the BBQ pork sandwich. My kids do not like BBQ but swear by their burgers, hot dogs, and fries. My niece and nephew love their southern cuisine including hushpuppies, okra, and fish. My sister in law bought a jar of BBQ sauce before she moved out of town. The food is spot on, the staff is friendly, and service is quick. This is truly one of my favorite Cheyenne restaurants.
