High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. You must also skip Brunch Burger, Quesadilla Burger, Triple Bacon Burger, and Whiskey Bacon Burger at Applebee's. High sodium intake can be lethal for a high blood pressure candidate. What a difference time makes! Wanted to give them another shot to improve service. Oh boy did they ever was very pleased with all of the staff and service with this visit. We ordered our food and it seemed that we just started to talk and it was hot and fresh and ready to be devoured. I had the chicken fajita rollup one of my favs at Applebees. So flavorful and put together so well it did fall apert after the first bite. It came with bottomless fries best fries ive had here hot fresh crispy. Cooked to perfection which fries can go either way. Thanks for improving ypur service to exceed my expectations. Definitely coming back to try some nee menu items.

I was amazed at the level of service from this place, usually chain restaurants do not go out of their way to satisfy their customers, but this place sure showed me that this was the case here. We were quickly seated and before we could even look at our menus the waitress was already able to take our order,we ordered and it didnt seem like even 10 minutes passed and our food was already on the table. I ordered the triple hog dare ya and it was fresh, hot and delicious. The sides were all you can eat as well. Even though the waitress had a full section, she was fast and attentive making sure we had everything and/or needed anything. Best service in any Applebees I ever had.

The service was absolutely horrible. Waiter was rude and impatient. We waited forever for our appetizer. After waiting another hour for our food they brought us out someone else's order. Another 15 minutes later they brought us out a burger that was well done without the proper condiments, and we ordered it medium rare. Ordered a medium well sirloin dish that was cooked medium well. We ended up just paying for our drinks and left.

Wow service has gone way downhill since my last visit. I decided on grabbing a burger here for lunch with a friend. We walked in and the restaurant was practically empty. Shortly after the awkward hostess sat us down, a waitress came by and took our drinks and order. We ordered chips and salsa for an appetizer on one of the iPad-looking terminals on the table. They've had these for a few months now. She saw that an order had been placed and asked us if we wanted to play the trivia game loaded on it. We declined and told her we ordered an appetizer of chips and salsa. About 10 minutes later I spotted another waitress wandering around the floor with our chips wondering who ordered them before finally realizing it was us. For $5, we received a small handful of chips and small cup of salsa. Eventually our meals came and they were decent enough. Our waitress returned with our checks before I took my first bite and then explained an error on the checks, told me sorry, then walked off without even trying to remedy it. She sat down with a friend of hers (I presume) sitting adjacent to us and talked with him for a good 20 minutes. The manager didn't seem bothered by it. Never was offered a refill or checked on. Suffice to say, I left her a barebones tip and left. Cheyenne's chain restaurants need some lessons on service.

Took them 15 minutes to start cleaning off a nearby table. Another nearby table was told they ran out of ribs as the rest of their tables food was brought out. The rest of their table were done eating by the time his new order of food had come out. Hit the "call server" button at the table to order drinks. It took 7 minutes for a waiter to come, but it was to bring us food...not to answer the call button. Apparently the waitress took a break and they said they didn't have someone to fill in.

I left sad from Applebees. It was my birthday and I choose to eat at Applebees because I love their menu. It started off great until something happened with our waitress (was told manager and staff conflict) Other people began to help us but service was so slow our food took forever that we stayed in the restaurant for 2 hours missing our movie. A few times we thought we get up and leave but didn't so that's on us. I love applebees but because of this experience I have a bad taste in my mouth making it difficult to go back. I don't get out much so this was supposed to be a special day.

Absolutely disgusting!! The hubs and I have not ate at an Applebee's in close to 11 years!!! Tried it for the first time no more than 5 min ago and just HAD to write a review on how crappy it was! My husband had the Thai shrimp salad...it was pathetic lettuce with previously frozen shrimp on top...my father had the shrimp pasta (Alfredo style, obviously I can't remember what it was called, but it sucked...zero flavor); I had the NEW peppercorn on whole grains thing, supposed to be medium...not so much, more like well done. The only real flavor was garlic, I tasted zero pepper!!! Kudos to the bartender who offered a few times to replace my meal, but I honestly had no time as I am traveling with family...all in all. Avoid Applebee's, drink the wine instead. Or go spend $70 bucks at Chick fil A!

Food is way overpriced and portions are shrunk way down....good hamburgers, but small bun and burger with a just a small handful of french fries...for $11. I wanted onion rings instead of FF's and was charged an extra buck. They are like most big chains these days...cutting way down on portions and hiking up the prices on the menu.

We walked in at 1645 today and we waited for almost 20 min with out anyone even asking what we wanted to drink. So we left and walked into Texas Roadhouse and was seated right away and had drinks and food order with in 8 mins.

Wanna go to a restaurant and wait 20 minutes to even place a drink order? Wanna go to a restaurant and never see you server after they drop off your food? Then Applebee's is for you! The food is okay but the service gets worse with every visit!

  • Bobby S.

OK, it's Applebees and it's typical chain restaurant stuff, but I've not really had any bad experiences here. Just writing this review to give anyone who has received a gift card a "tip." When you submit your bill, just give them the gift card, even if the balance on your card won't cover the entire amount. The last time, we made the mistake of giving them the gift card plus $20.00 in cash. The tab was $30 plus change and we had about 23 bucks in our gift card balance. She only charged ten dollars to the gift card, and took the rest in cash, resulting in us having to make yet another visit to the restaurant to use the balance. If you give them a credit card and cash with the gift card, they may do this to you and if you really want to use up your gift card, give them JUST the card, then pay the rest when they bring back the check.

I called in a to go order and they told me 15-20 minutes so I arrive 20 minutes later and wait another 20 minutes so it seems they did not start my order until I arrived. then to add to it I was shorted the food there was less than there should be I have had the order before I know how much I should get.

Fairly inexpensive for the food you get. It's pretty much the same as any other Applebee's restaurant.

It's an Applebee's. It's basically the same as all the other Applebee's in existence. If you don't like the food at the Applebee's near wherever you live, you probably won't like the food at this Applebee's. The service here was good. The steak and fried shrimp were good. However, I always have the image of the movie "Waiting" playing in my mind whenever I eat at a place like this.

my husband and I have been to this applebee's 3 times since we have been stationed here in cheyenne. We went back in hopes that the poor service was just a flop but tonight was completely embarrassing for the company as a whole. Let me start by saying our waiter Jeff was very nice and accommodating (until the bitter end). Started out we arrived at 10:05 pm. There was 3 in our party. My husband ordered ribs and the pretzel appetizer. My friend and I ordered the 2 for 20 deal. We all had bar drinks as well. It took 40 mins to receive our appetizers which wouldn't of been so bad if they were busy but there were 6 tables In the whole place not including us. As we waited we watched 2 young wait staff employees make out in a corner (which lasted the whole dinner). Finally after receiving and eating our appetizers we got our main entrees. Both of the 2 for 20 meals were missing half the food. We sent it back and Jeff said he was getting a manager for us because of the problems we had. We waited an additional 10 mins for Joe the "manager" to finally come by. He was so insecure about himself and the situation it was amazing to me he was a manager. He stared at us when we arrived at the table not taking the reigns of the situation. I told him the problem and he said he would take the appetizers off. I explained to him the one was already half off and the other came with our meal. He just stared awkwardly again and I told him that wasn't going to work for us. After telling him I wanted the 2 for 20 taken off he just walked away. We sat Continuously watching the 2 kids make out and grab each other. Jeff came to give us our bill and take our plates. He then dropped my husband's plate of ribs on his lap. I was appalled at this location. Never ever again will we go back to the cheyenne applebee's and if you are smart you will do the same!

Worst service award wins at applebees by bar tender waiter. Appathetic. Refused to give the slightesy effort of customer service. I would fire half of the staff that hung around yhe bar instead of working. They would yalk to each other instead of work. The companys remodel was a waist of money. They didnt renew the help. No one uas taught them what simple good service is.

Veronica was our waitress, she was very erratic and distracted. We ordered a simple slider app. And a FULL size shrimp and spinach salad. The restaurant was not busy, and we waited 20+ minutes for old fries, and half a salad with wilted spinach w/o dressing and huge chunks of onion. We asked waitress for a side of dressing, and she continued to gossip at the waitress station. I asked to speak w/ a manager, and talked to Tammy. She said, "oh okay, would you guys like a dessert or something?" We asked her to try a fry,she replied with, "oh no, I don't eat the fries.". Neither of us even took more than one bite of our food...As we were leaving, Michael stopped us and was apologetic, and gave is 5$ off 25$ coupons. So glad we didn't waste the money, we will not be returning-

I was just totally disrespected by a bartender at this Applebee's named WENDY . All I did on this very cold day for the first time visiting Wyoming from Hawaii was walk to the bar and a very well known warm me up drink of course a hot toddy. She so Rudley says she dosnt have the stuff to make one when clearly behind the bar is all the right ingredients you would need for a steamy hot toddy . But I ask her instead what hot drink she recommends she so Rudley again with dismissive attitude just tosses me a drink menu that clearly dosnt have any hot drinks in it and I say that aloud which she ignores then I just ask for all the ingredients to make my own hot toddy and she proceeds to slide me a hot tea then my cognac and then my lemons like it was a huge burden to do her job . I see a manager walk up to the bar and I ask to speak with him as I to do WENDY PROCEEDS TO STARE ME DOWN AND THE MANAGER OBVIOUSLY DOSNT SEEM TO THINK TO MAYBE TELL HER TO LEAVE THE FLOOR WITH THAT KIND OF ATTITUDE WHILE HE TALKED WITH ME INSTEAD HE LET HER CONTINUE TO STARE AND SMIRK WHILE I COMPLAINED . I'm still in shock and can't believe how I was treated over asking for a simple hot toddy ! Word of advice don't be in Costomer service if you don't like people! The mangers seem to think a free meal would change things when in reality that WENDY THE VERY RUDE BARTENDER TO BE SENT HOME FOR TREATING A CUSTOMER WITH AUCK DISTAIN. Cherry on the Pie is when I came on yelp to do a review I see all anyone says about them is how bad the service is . I should have checked here first at least I wouldn't have been surprise ! Never again !

I've been twice. The first time, I experienced the same problem that most places that serve alcohol are known for: service reduces if you order non-alcoholic beverages. Other than that, the first visit was uneventful. The second visit, however, is what will keep me from going there ever again: They brought me the wrong food, prompting me to have to force my companions to begin eating anyway; the glasses were FILTHY; the server made a snide comment when we ordered a dessert; and, oh, the best is last, I paid in cash and never received my change. I assume the server believed she'd received her tip. I will never return.

I been to a lot of Applebee's across the nation and most are ok, but this one I would recommend thinking twice before going and choosing another place. I've been here twice (I always give a place a second chance), both time the service was horrible and the food was bad as well. This last time my soup was cold and I sent it back and it never came back so I told the waitress to cancel it because the food should be here before the soup and she said it wouldn't. Here comes the soup and the entree at the same time. I ordered the new Chicken Fondido which looks and sounds by the description in the menu as a grilled chicken breast on a pool of melted cheese like a fondu. It came out on a sizzling platter with the cheese burnt underneath the chicken and stuck to the chicken like tar. When I asked why it didn't look like the picture and why the cheese was burnt instead of melted like a fondu (hense the name) the waitress told me that is the way it always comes. She actually said its not supposed to look like the picture. Whatever. I don't recommend this place at all if you want to have a pleasant meal and good food.
